Amazing graveyard Sue.Someone has done a lot of work in there for sure.I think in some ways it’s preserved many of those headstones..I am amazed at how many younger people are buried in there.Perhaps a flu epidemic or something at the time..One thing for sure the new headstones we have now will not last this long, nor are they as beautifully carved as these ones either. Thanks for the sdventure today,it looked rather cold out there too.Love n Light 🥰

Wow! What a treasure trove of history and craftsmanship. The talent of these Mason's is to be commended. It would have taken an awful lot of hard work and days to clear this Graveyard, whoever organised goats and sheep had the best idea for clearing here. Sadly the ages on the headstones were mostly very young. Well done Sue and thank you, as usual you brave the wind and rugged grounds for us. I hope you are feeling well now. Blessings to you 💕🇦🇺

Hi Sue, I'm enjoying binge watching. I believe there's history in every cemetery or where ever a loved one final resting place is. Famous or not. They were special to somebody. I loved looked at markers trying to see how old is the oldest one. You have been to some beautiful places. All interesting. I have to ask because I would not be human if I didn't. Have you been to the final resting place of Actor Edward Mulhare.? I have lost a lot of data. I believe he is buried in IRELAND. Though he passed in California in 1997 from lung cancer. He was indeed a Brilliant Actor. Only right that he would be buried in his home country. I live in Georgia. I think women my age only got to know of him through the series The Ghost and Mrs Muir. I saw it through reruns. Which you can still watch on UA-cam. You couldn't help but fall in love with Captain Daniel Gregg.😁. Thanks for having such a wonderful channel and doing what you love. We all want to peek, see what's inside masaulems, crypts, look into open holes. I'm not put off by skeletons, skulls. I find it amazing how some are well preserved, even after 100 years some remains are still intact. I love seeing things through your eyes, visiting with you..not knowing what you are going to find. And know we are not so different after all.🙂. I have many videos to watch.but I am enjoying everyone I have seen. Take care, sending, 💜🕯✌🤗. Love, respect and positivity always. Hi Sue, you probably spoke of this in a former video, but what is the significance of the tools, and ladder? Is it because Jesus was a carpenter or is it related to the trade of the person laid to rest or the
Romans and the crucifixion? The dice for the casting of lots? Is the ladder there representing the taking down of Our Lord’s body? Thanks. Another gorgeous place, so glad to see its being restored. Love that the sheep and goats are brought in as nature’s lawn mowers and fertilizers. 💕

@@SerenitySueGraveyards there was one that showed an angel unlike the others. The more cursive writing seems to stand the rest of time and can still be read.

I just wonder how they were able to make those stones so beautiful? Knowing that they didn't have the tools that are available now

Do people ever straighten up the leaning stones? It is so sad when they fall over completely.

Legally it's meant to be maintained by family members. With the beauty and elegance of these stones it would be amazing to see how they turned out if the cleaning agent D2 was used on them I've seen some outstanding results when this was used to clean up the stones.

Another wonderful stroll. Beautiful. As you said a person could spend hours and not see everything. Question - I noticed the letters IHS on several stones, do you know the meaning?
