This is actually so much fun... I tried to practice reading them and I got so angry because the pronunciation is pretty stupid with some of them, but writing them, and taking my time, and slowly incorporating the pronunciation gives me enough rest and freedom to enjoy it.
Wow! This is super thorough and well organized. Im moving to India soon and I have started to study Hindi. I will be going through this video series to help me learn to read. Appreciate you putting this together!
Thank you for the whole course! I tried to complelty comprehend devanagri for few years, but only this course finally got the job done 👍 See you in Goloka Vrindavan 🙏
Thank you so much for this series of videos. They go at the perfect pace for me to watch, practice writing in my own, and go on to the next video with the last lesson memorized. I found it so hard to self pace/self motivate myself with just books and flash cards. Your video pacing is perfect for learning. Such a valuable resource for people who need to learn to read Devanagari before learning sanskrit (I am Chinese myself and am only familiar with the Latin alphabet and hanzi Chinese characters).
thanks for explaining it with the descriptors "guttural", "palate" and "labial", other methods are confusing for me and i end up putting sounds of chinese into my russian/hindi, which is definitely not what i want to do, this helped me remember the i sound specifically :D
With devanagari letters in these lectures, can people be prepared for Hindi and Sanskrit, both learning? (we don't need separate devanagri learning for Hindi and Sanskrit?) Thanks!
Hare Kṛṣṇa! Oh very nice! I've always wanted to learn devanagari but never had a simple/clear resource to learn from! How many videos do you think it will take to complete the course?
Hare Krishna, prabhu! So far, my syllabus consists of 30 videos. The first eleven videos are on the alphabet, the from Episode 12 to 20 are about learning to write and read words. Episode 20 to 25 is reading practice, while Episodes 26 through 30 will be on writing practice.
Finally, it is super easier to learn to read Devanagari. Thank you very much for such an amazing video course. I appreciate it a lot!
You have a very good system here, and you started me on the road to learning Devanagari script/Sanskrit. धन्यवानः !
i've watched about 2 minutes of this and can tell this is going to be a good course

I'm learning Nepali नेपाली
Could you explain why are you learning Nepali.
I speak hindi best when I speak as if I am a demon
the way you are teaching handwriting is not the way i was taught in India or in duolingo, for starters the bar on top is always drawn last.
