- LTC. (Res) Peter Lerner, IDF International Spokesperson joins FIDF Chief Executive Officer Steve Weil to provide a briefing on the escalation overnight with Iran and several other countries targeting Israel with hundreds of drones and missiles. LTC. Lerner describes the alliance that has come out of the threat uniting the US, UK, France and more, the 170 explosive laden drones sent to Israel, 30 cruise missiles, the ballistic missiles that did touch down, the achievement of intercepting 99% of the drones and missiles sent, and the expectations of retaliation.
LTC. Lerner also answers questions about the Nevatim base, and the strikes against Hezbollah in the aftermath of the attacks.
Later, FIDF National Director Major General (Res.) Nadav Padan talks about the history of Iran being the head of the "octopus" controlling all of the proxies, Iran's weapons arsenal, the status of the operation in Gaza, Lebanon's role in all of this, how Iran strategizes the travel of their arsenal to execute multiple points of attack, and more.

Irans nuclear development program has to be dismantled, this can be done by internationals forced compliance or maybe it should be the first and only retaliation target, then sit down and talk. I hate to be the one to point this out but...
The missiles that got through were the ballistic missiles admittedly accompanied by a high density of distraction cruise and drone missiles.
The strike was time on target strike common in modern warfare.
However the results leave one apprehensive about the ability of the current air defenses to stop ballistic missiles under these conditions.
The issue becomes material if some of the ballistic missiles are nuclear tipped. Stopping 99 percent under those conditions becomes a declining sum game.
The other rather sad fact is demonstrated by the Russo Ukrainian war.
You cannot win a war against an aggressor who is at liberty to strike at will with heavy long range missiles at a time and place of their choosing UNLESS you have the capability and will to destroy the enemy capability to wage this kind of war.
Russia s destruction of the civilian infrastructure will create a wilderness out of Ukraine generating millions of refugees and leaving an area into which the Russians can occupy having destroyed Ukraine as a people and a nation.
That is clearly what Iran is working toward with Israel.
