This instructional video from Liberty Laundry will show you how to replace the drain valve assembly for all Speed Queen Quantum washers. It is a simple process and only takes a few minutes.
Excellent question and something I should have addressed in the video! The washer would remain turning on the final rinse. The water would not drain, and the door would not unlock. Tapping on the drain valve assembly would cause the drain to open and only then would the water drain out. No debris was present within the drain valve assembly. This happened several times in one week, so we knew it was time to either repair or replace!

What are the machine symptoms that would cause you to believe this component needs to be replaced or repaired?

Hi, I have a machine just like this. It will not fill like it supposed to. it keeps displaying FL-1. I checked hoses and the pressure switch. could it be the 3-way water valve?
+Brian Walker It could be. That would be simple to swap with another machine and see if the problem follows the part. Another idea is to swap the drain valve with another machine. I wouldn't swap both at the same time, though, so you can see which part is causing you trouble. -Brian Henderson

Get yourself a nice dewalt 1impact wrench and make it a 3 mnute fix
so how much would you charge by the few minutes of time it took? should b paying the helper good too, lol
