Thank you for teaching me through your video, how to make these masks. I have made several and everybody likes the way they fit. I just love the idea of having learned this from a young woman I don't know!
I know it's a very good video when I don't have any questions. Everything was explained very well. Thanks for modeling the face mask. I will make one now!
Great video only comment is not a good idea to use pins for filter pocket. COVID virus so small it can pass thru the holes. Skip the pins and use quilt binding clips to be safe. Got this advice from watching a nurse make masks quite some time ago.. So I switched from pins to clips for all my masks.
This is a wonderful video! I like how you made the last step so easy to understand (@11:50), and I like that the sides are nice and flat! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your mask video. You made it look easy. I want to make one. Hope I can make it as well as you. You gave good visual instructions.
Thank you for showing how to make a filter pocket pattern. I have been looking for an example for awhile. I'm not experienced enough to figure it out on my own.
Right! I bought a yardstick for like $4 at hobby lobby so I could have atleast one tool that i could measure out centimeters because every tutorial I had seen previously only had metric measurements.
Muslin fabric is unsuitable for the mask, it should be high thread count cotton, try quilting cotton or organic bedsheets. Great instruction and video.
Muslin is fine in this case if a filter is added into the pocket. The studies saying to use high thread count + Quilter's cotton are if no filter is used.
Only problem with the video goes to fast to get the measurements and instructions, having to rewind several times, its not fun. I'm sorry! ...if they dont have sound, it's hard.....
hi can you make one for kids same with this video?.pls..thank you, also the elastic can be change, not sewed like the previos video you made, thank you and god bless you..
Can some one tell me the measurements of the pocket for the large and Medium. before the sides are ironed down. My internet is terrible and keeps cutting off. Thanks so much.
Pipe-cleaners if you can get them are excellent - put 2 together for enough stiffness to hold the shape. Use needle-nose pliers to roll the sharp ends in a tiny bit. Another good one is speaker wire from a radio/electronics shop, of a weight that will bend reasonably easily but then hold its shape.
@Nuzhath: Looks like a type of twist tie. Similar can be found in a lot of Dollar or Grocery Stores or even Gardening Centers and often comes on a small reel of some kind to allow you to cut off required length. It is usually plastic coated as well and more often comes in white. Also I've seen similar around Xmas time as used for attaching garland to staircases, fireplaces etc. but usually green in color.
Clean work. Thank you for the video. Hi from Istanbul ,Turkey .

I made a mistake when sewing the fold. Is the filter pocket sewn into the foldover flaps?
first pattern shows size as 19 x 26 cm then when cutting pattern is shown size is shown as 19 x 25 Which is correct?
got it 18 x 25 size medium 19 x 26 size large

Where did you get elastic? I’ve been trying to find good elastic but the ones I’ve bought come apart.
Elastic is now easy to get at Amazon.
What is the song in the background?
I watched the video twice thinking I missed the addition to the 'nose wire' when/where was the wire added to the mask?
Me too! Where is that part?
7:27 Goes between the filter pocket and the mask
Otimo
Does a medium fit a woman? Would the large be to big?
18 × 25 fit so good on slender woman and young girl or boy .
Como consigo el patron
Pero con el centro no se podrá lavar
What is used for the nose wire?

Plastic covered twist ties from Amazon. I have used pipe cleaners but fall apart after it's been washed. You would end replacing it.
Hi - where do you get the nose wire? what is it
Sandwich bag ties

@@mrsbenn1 Ok thanks. I live in India and will try to find similar once the stores open up fully here!. Thanks again.
Can order twist ties from Amazon, 500 or 1000 pieces; not too expensive. You would need double the ties to make it sturdy.
try the garden center for stronger coated wore. Twist ties are too weak.
How long is the 4 coners an the foldins my corner is not even
Awful music. Just horrid. I had to come and turn it off from the next room.
