@@samueltorres9141 hm really? Doctor of credit states they expire after a year, maybe they dont. Most offerings like this do though, such as the marriot 5 free nights
@@johncazale2995 In the fine print under offer details it shows “To qualify and receive 5 Free Nights you must make purchases totaling $4,000 or more during the first 3 months from account opening. Each Free Night must be redeemed, and stay must be completed, within 12 months from date of issue.”
IHG points are not worth that much, so 5x back would be like 2.5% back plus you’re locked into only IHG hotels. If I used the 5x back on airfare on my amex platinum, it can transfer to over a dozen partners (flexibility) and I can turn that 5x back into potentially 35%-40% back if I redeem it for a business class flight, huge outsized value potential
@@leroydancy6273 I always say flexible transferable points is king, you have flexibility and you have the potential to get a ton of value. So in that situation the platinum or gold. But there’s chase, citi and capital cards that offer something similar. Having a cobranded airline card like the ones from delta will lock you into one airline and delta doesn’t offer very good value for the amount of points redeemed
So this is competing with my getting a Hyatt card. I just got a Chase Boundless two months ago, just got the Hyatt....well, today....and now I'm trying for this IHG, requiring further review. How long do you think this offer will be valid for? Maybe there is no predicting it.
@@samswallet thank you. One last thing, do you know if it’s for any IHG hotel? We signed up for it after seeing Vignette Collection Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket on their website. It is owned by IHG.
Wow, Sam - I got the Chase Marriott Boundless on 5/1, then with only one Chase slot left I got the Chase Hyatt yesterday (after further review), and now got the Chase IHG using your link (also after further review). Not sure how I managed to get all that through but I have the full lineup now. Ugh, now I need to spend $3,000+$4,000 in the next 90 days.
@@samswallet After seeing your video, I googled the offer, and apparently it bypasses the 5/24 check. So for that reason I used my last 5/24 slot for Hyatt, and then immediately went for this IHG. I didn't really expect it to work (too soon) especially since it was under further review, but it did. And, yeah, after googling it I came back to your link.
How can I find a 5 free night from ihg after I hit $4000 after 3 months?
Picked up today at 7/24. I'm guessing chase relaxed the 5/24 rule for cobranded cards.
Wow! Surprised by that
I called chase and they told me there was no expiration for the 5 nights
@@samueltorres9141 hm really? Doctor of credit states they expire after a year, maybe they dont. Most offerings like this do though, such as the marriot 5 free nights
The fine print of this offer shows the promo 5 nights must be used within 12 months after being earned.
did u get the card and enquired ? or just called before buying .. pls give details sir.. im planning to buy but no plans to travel in the same year..
if it has to be redeemed in same year no use

I thought 5x points on travel restaurants and gas is really good. What other card is better?

How come other bigger UA-camrs didn't talk about this crazy offer?!
@@frankzheng8270 the offer just came out, they most likely will soon - it’s a fantastic offer
What do you mean by certificates?
They are digital certificates for a free night stay at any of their hotels. Usually loaded on your ihg app

after I sign up and say I spend 4,000 in the first week of having the card, how soon will they give me the 5 free nights? Thanks
Typically it is when your current statement ends, give it up to a few weeks after clearing

How to you redeem the 5 free nights? Do you transfer them? And get 300k points or do you have to book from chase?
It shows in your ihg account, you can book it there through the app/website directly yourself or call chase to do it
