Derral, you could play Alex Jones in a Biopic about Alex Jones. When I close my eyes and listen to this interview it's not your face I see. My wife picked up your audio book for me a few weeks back and I'm very grateful that I went through it. Super valuable and yet I feel like I have much more to learn. This interview is encouraging for people like me who may not get it the first time round. Keep up the good work in sharing your successes.

Much respect Derral! Great tips and insight to unique niches. I cant help but think that Matt and my own content has much more in common than I first thought. Plus like Matt our content is very unpredictable and have to make the best with what is given. Even though we are the top channel in our niche, I would love to be considered for channel jumpstart as our very unique content could use an outsiders perspective.

Does live streaming on your main channel, hurt a new uploads growth or your channel at all if you unlist the stream when you're done? Or is it like shorts where it goes into its own category

My 1st goal was to get MORR bigger than Winder towing, now the old Winder towing office makes more in merchandise sales than Winder towing? That’s awesome! I tried for 5 months to get Matt to take channel jump start!

Like Darrel said about super engaging editing, I have been following that since I read the UA-cam Formula and it really works, my last video I did the same and youtube picked it up the 1st 2 days, the browse feature was working amazingly and then on the 3rd day it went completely flat and so did the engagement...Your whole video could be super engaging but if the 1st min is a little slow, retention is doomed and the rest of the hard work that went to shoot and edit plus expanses for the video all gone to waste...Sometimes we think it's engaging then we realize the audience doesn't have the patience to wait for a minute
Concerning the timing feature request, I think that what would be interesting is timing the likes: at wich moment the user clicked on the like button. For me, sometimes I click when I hear something that I strongly agree with, or when I feel that I just learned something new and valuable. In other word, a specific moment of connexion. And I think that this information could be useful for the algoritm: in term of content quality in one side, and user preferences in the other side. And it will be able to understand what likes mean and and at the same time predict it.
29 minutes into this video and I still haven't heard a single word on how to get more views or how to understand the algorithms.

My audience think I m their tour guide. All the comments I get everyday are mostly travel enquiries 😂 I respond as much as I can...sometimes it's fun, sometime it could get a little annoying

Derral, I have 180,000 subscribers, but I only get around 20,000 views on most of my videos. Is this normal or is something wrong?
24 minutes in and they haven’t said anything specific. Just generalizations seemingly to make the livestream as long as possible.

man....600K subs and barely 75k views / month ...I've got almost half of that ...with 6000 subscribers! 😂 ....still selling that Algorithm snake oil, Derral??

Don't you think he'd shoot this channel right here into oblivion to get that golden button as a perfect confirmation for his 'expertise'? ..you think that gamer kid next door with 4 million subs cracked a secret algorithm code? ..yeah right
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery so following that logic...everybody who takes that service, should inevitably take off. Compared to a hand full of successfull ones, an army of other channels never make it. I couldn't care less about UA-cam success I'm busy with Motion Graphics. Haven't uploaded in 5 months. But this 'I know the secret algorithm' bs is just a modern version of snake oil. In the SEO world anybody who said 'I know the Google search algorithm' would get laughed at.
oh and regarding being 'bitter' ...it's actually the opposite ...I'm really happy ..I'm pulling in almost 50% of this channels views ...with not even 1% of the subscriber count. ...does that make me a better 'algorithm guru' now? ...if anyone is interested ...I can do a zoom call for $1000 / hour....
