Wranglers are Ghost Academy personell, they have a limited psionic mutation but not enought to be of combat use but they can sense other individuals with Psionic powers in semi close proximity. They are employed to silently track down and abduct potential Ghost agents at young age.
These Nova mission are incredibly well done! The Starcraft 2 team doesn't fail to amaze me. Thanks also to you, Lowko, for sharing your experience with the Mission Packs. It's a pleasure as always.
Was getting serious Brood War vibes with Valerian's record player playing the same music as with DuGalle at the end of Brood War. Really nice touch there.
Lore-wise it's the same jukebox that the Dominion have scavenged in the Aleksander, DuGalle's flagship, after the ship was found destroyed by Kerrigan in the events of Brood War. Valerian took it because he has a knack for antique objects.
Hey Lowko, you know this game has these things called "defenses", right? Stuff you can use to protect your base while your army is away? Seriously though, you've been playing too much multiplayer, you don't need to rush rush rush all the time in campaign missions. If the game gives you time, TAKE the time. It'll make everything much easier.
You are my favorite SC youtuber lately - as of the past 6mo to 1y I like watching your campaign/co-op videos especially. You are a whole lot better than I can ever hope to be, but sometimes i feel you win despite bad decisions. Dude static d. S-T-A-T-I-C [space] D. You wouldn't have to run back if you keep something at home. When you salvage your bunker right at the start I twitch really hard. When you throw marine after marine, which are paper, (acting like you are playing zerg btw) and just keep rebuilding them instead of getting more tanky units like the goliath or the hellbat, I am frustrated. That being said, well... you make it through. and, as i said, you are alot better than me, so maybe I am just plain wrong. And of course multiplayer is a lot more challenging, and you are way better than i could ever hope to be. And i still have fun even if I am yelling at the screen. Thank for the videos!
Ghost are selected for their psionic potential (telekinesis ect) and they are trained to use it to augment their physical prowess . If i remember correctly for strong psionic they even restrict their more "magical" capability like telekinesis mind control ect so they would focus on physical enhancement. So yeah any ghost is way stronger than any marine even WITH their suit on
You've got a very strange way of using liberators Lowko... I keep seeing you fly into enemy vision to set up your liberation zones and that's leaving your liberators exposed and slightly overextended. Try setting up your zones outside of enemy vision, and then use your ground army to bait them in. Your liberators aren't like siege tanks and don't deal friendly splash damage. That way, your cheap and easy to replace meat shield of marines and marauders tank the damage and your liberators kill everything. Just keep a force of marines in reserve to wipe out any remaining air units.
He probably didn't notice it , the tooltip is the same as the point-defense drone and it's impossible to know it's different unless you read the skill description.
@LowkoTV You can solo this with nova.. tbh all missions. Just build enough spec ops centers so you can nuke them 1 after another. 20nukes at the time = easy win. You dont need any army. ^^
+DestineysGuardian i was thinking on that why he won't put any thing for defence it will be so hard if the map get bigger and bigger so you can't defence all t e positions....
We miss you General Warfield. Only dominion general that was truly great (Duke was a bad general, Davis is a bad general and I see Honor as more partner of Valerian Mengsk than a general under Valerian's commander)
***** I was talking about Warfield, not only was a super cliche movie general, he was also so incompetent to let us invade korhal and crack the UNN without can nothing about, if that's not enoguh, he left Valerian doing a sucidal frontal attack on char even if he knew it was dumb and finally he let Kerrigan/Zagara to retake Char with a fart of zergs when instead he had a giant army and fortress...
I played this solely with nova and her decoys. There was a glitch within the game, that when you put a decoy in the metro station, it would live permanently. I gathered around 30 decoys and moved out. Piece of cake.
I like seeing how different the campaign is. When I played Nova Covert Ops, the Holo Decoy took 50% *less* damage. A lot of stuff is different, and it may seem minor but it's actually pretty big.
That's pretty close to what I normally do but I give the Raven spider minds, I don't use Reapers. While the Ravens heal isn't auto cast its still damn good.
LOWKO!!! add all the StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops, into a playlist or some site where they can be easily found! Haven't checked on this content for a while (4 months), so it was somewhat taxing to scroll through. K?thx, bye(winkyface). XoXooxXOOx
Huh, interesting. Supreme Commander has a lot of missions like this, where you start in one area of the map, and then the map expands once you complete some objectives. As in, like, it does it repeatedly throughout its campaign. I thought the reason Starcraft didn't do that was just because the engine just didn't support it, but, apparently it does.
custom maps do that a lot too, warcraft III and both starcrafts had people with this capacity from long ago, although it didn't appear too much or at all in the campaigns, i wonder why?
Maybe it's just because of what kinds of missions work well in each game, I guess. Starcraft is more about tactical scale combat, while Supreme Commander is more about strategic scale combat.
i guess it makes sense, and since my brain can't think of another reason for them not being implemented in campaigns before, being as cool as they are, other than the complexity of creating a map with such a system, i'll just leave it there xD
Its an simple task, the map itself is not hidden its just the visibity thats restricted. And they have done things like this numerous times before in the campaigns.
Maybe I'm mistaken then. I don't remember seeing anything else like this in any Starcraft 2 missions, and I haven't played Starcraft 1. Could you give me an example? In SupCom, you start on a rectangular chunk of the "whole" map, and later in a mission, it expands to cover a bigger area of the map. So, unlike on that HotS mission with the psi emitters, there's literally no way to bring units over to another section of the map, even with air or sea units, since it's simply not on the map before it expands. I thought Starcraft's engine simply couldn't do this before, since it'd need to be a specific feature of the engine, e.g. so it can rerender minimaps and stuff.
I Love Alarak's character, but he was really underutilized here. Though not entirely the writer's fault. I mean his devilishly charming personality only shined through next to Artanis' stick-up-the-ass, righteous protector attitude. If he cannot throw around snarky comments he will be just there as a token actor (so like: "Hi Alarak ... Bye Alarak")
wouldnt holing up in base with tanks, turrets, liberators, bunkers, everything... be better? while taking perma cloak suit, sniper, range helmet, aoe grenade and building like 10 nukes and just nuking every single zerg camp solo?
This looks like hard difficulty. I did the entire campaign on brutal, and on this mission, a sh!tload of units attacked each side the whole time... Also, overseers and other units would spawn almost immediately on zerg bases until structures were killed. Here, they don't respawn..... weird.
You should probably have set up a proper defence during the first few minutres so you wouldn't have to run back every time you were attacked. Honestly it was quite a bad idea leaving your base undefended.
You need to build a proper defense in your base first before moving towards the objective. It's irritating that you keep pulling your army back when there is an incoming force coming towards your base. You will lose more than you are trying to build.
isnt it better to put damage upgrade on marines for more damage output? each marine is cheaper and its easier to build more of them then any other type of unit...
is it just me or does lowko really seem to struggle with anything that isnt just attack move. uses 1 hot key for everything so he loses alot of it to just running it into anti air or banelings. lol. really wish he would of seen that ravens HEAL mech lol to much to think about at once
Liberators look awfully weak in comparison to void ray / destroyer army (i also took into account the costs of the units), liberator army is weaker in comparison void ray carrier army
Wranglers are Ghost Academy personell, they have a limited psionic mutation but not enought to be of combat use but they can sense other individuals with Psionic powers in semi close proximity. They are employed to silently track down and abduct potential Ghost agents at young age.
Olav Lomeland yup, that's how the UNN found Kerrigan.
These Nova mission are incredibly well done! The Starcraft 2 team doesn't fail to amaze me. Thanks also to you, Lowko, for sharing your experience with the Mission Packs. It's a pleasure as always.
But they're a waste of money...
How so?
Was getting serious Brood War vibes with Valerian's record player playing the same music as with DuGalle at the end of Brood War. Really nice touch there.
My dearest Helena...
I almost thought he was going to suicide too because of that.
i did too
Yea, I saw the music player, heard the music and was like.. "OH NO... OH NO!! PLEASE DON´T DO THIS TO ME AGAIN!"
Lore-wise it's the same jukebox that the Dominion have scavenged in the Aleksander, DuGalle's flagship, after the ship was found destroyed by Kerrigan in the events of Brood War. Valerian took it because he has a knack for antique objects.
Damn, look at the size of Stone and Nova! They are bigger than those damn cars.
*restrains a highly dangerous enemy operative,* *lets her move her forearms so she can type into the ghost suit that their ghosts can do as well*
Train system is basically Nydus canal.
Those things that Nova planted are actually psi-emitters that attract that specific species of zerg there.
Hey Lowko, you know this game has these things called "defenses", right? Stuff you can use to protect your base while your army is away? It feels like Valerian is going to do a James Raynor...
You are my favorite SC youtuber lately - as of the past 6mo to 1y

It's either that Nova have some exceptional strength.
Or those Marine armor is basically made out of shitty paper.
Ghost are selected for their psionic potential (telekinesis ect) and they are trained to use it to augment their physical prowess . If i remember correctly for strong psionic they even restrict their more "magical" capability like telekinesis mind control ect so they would focus on physical enhancement.

ive played like 5 min of starcraft and i still like your videos
Ye I think we raced with Stone in the first mission, but then we had to leave him behind if I remember correctly.
Just started subscribing your channel. Thank you for the videos!
Why isn't Lowko using the raven's heal bot ability? that drone heals for like 14 per second on both bio and mech
He probably didn't notice it , the tooltip is the same as the point-defense drone and it's impossible to know it's different unless you read the skill description.
Low gamer IQ? He didn't check abilities lol
@LowkoTV
You can solo this with nova.. tbh all missions. Just build enough spec ops centers so you can nuke them 1 after another. 20nukes at the time = easy win. You dont need any army. ^^
Agreed. One Woman Army.
doesn't sound funny at all, and how you defend then ?
You will need defenses thought, in some missions they throw serious armies at you.
Works on normal/hard, but not brutal.
+DestineysGuardian i was thinking on that why he won't put any thing for defence it will be so hard if the map get bigger and bigger so you can't defence all t e positions....
2:44 jump scarce
loved the ending ost!!my dearest helena? damn you blizzard for the nostalgia trip!
2:44 RIP d-.-b
The volume level between the gameplay and Lowko is really awful
hellbats really helped me out on this mission.
We miss you General Warfield. Only dominion general that was truly great (Duke was a bad general, Davis is a bad general and I see Honor as more partner of Valerian Mengsk than a general under Valerian's commander)
Tbh he was an incompetent, far more incompetent of DuGalle...
Well he sure is better than general Duke
that laser upgrade on goli lol its like the upgrade on goli in bw XD
2:43 i wasn't ready such a screamer XD
This mission is like a horror game with that music when nova uses terrazine. xD And the infested city is just makes it more brutal.
yaaay other an Hungarian :D
Kókai Karcsi I don't know what the hell are you writing about I'm from Japane. :D
+Molnár Dávid :D
Kókai Karcsi Honnan tudtad , hogy magyar vagyok? A névről nem tudhattad biztos. :D
+Molnár Dávid megérzés :D
Nice, at the end there you zerged the zerg :D
I played this solely with nova and her decoys. There was a glitch within the game, that when you put a decoy in the metro station, it would live permanently. I gathered around 30 decoys and moved out. Piece of cake.
35:30 There's also the Omegalisk, tho you can't train it. It only ever appeared in 2 missions, both of them in Wings of Liberty.
One is the last protoss mission in wol but whats the other one where they appear?
Rex LP the magma tunnel mission.
I like seeing how different the campaign is. When I played Nova Covert Ops, the Holo Decoy took 50% *less* damage. A lot of stuff is different, and it may seem minor but it's actually pretty big.
who saw that liberator moving in defense mode at 12:30
I like how you cleared the train tracks but never used them lol
Nevermind you did use it sry!
but he didnt use the holoprojector
he did. during the first push
that was aaaawesome when will be the next mission be available....?!
More! More when it is released! Your StarCraft II videos are so awesome! :_>
11:03 that's like the most nukeable location if you've ever seen one - lowko 2016
can't wait for next chapter :) wp LowKo :) see you in the next one ;)
where the nuke come from in the beginning of the mission if your bases are just about to land on the planet... 🤔🤔🤔
I saw a rapid-fire trick from Nathanias and wonder if it can work on Liberators?
it'll be funny if the terrazine dropped to the floor when nova handed it to the tech guy
Is the Griffin ship named after Nova's voice actor?
Oh so those devices to “ward off” the Zerg were actually psi emitters? I thought that at first but I also though he picked ultralisk for the first one
I found it a lot more fun to just defend and solo the map with Nova and her nukes, sniper rifle and the stun grenade.
Andovar Edoras I had a pair of Raven's fellow Nova around to heal her if she took too much heat or set up turrets to cover her while nuking.
Great series! the game audio and your voice is disproportionate. You startled me at 2:44 xD
Y'know, Lowko, you wouldn't lose as much army if you didn't fly your Liberators into the range of Spore Crawlers...
I'm so sad there hasn't been any more campagn like that ...
I say the best choice is to eliminate Banelings and Brood Lords first. Then move onto Nydus Worms, Ultralisks, Mutalisks, and finally Lurkers.
That's pretty close to what I normally do but I give the Raven spider minds, I don't use Reapers. While the Ravens heal isn't auto cast its still damn good.
Your greetings was soooo loud compared to the cutscene xD
21:37 When you almost nuke your own base
I cant wait for pack 3!!!
And did Lowko say dude to Nova?
I cant too I must try that plasma weapon.
And i want to know what will be the last 3 units we get
I am thinking ghosts, Thors and Battlecruisers
+Molnár Dávid imposter uploaded a videos showing it being used
TheSlick44y Ty.
Lowko: Straight up ATTACK with our forces.
Me: Use Nova only when attacking just use Cloak my forces will die (easy mode
)
Just build a bunker and leave 2 siege tanks in the choke points like a classic Terran Lowko. It will help a lot and be more fun...
LOWKO!!! add all the StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops, into a playlist or some site where they can be easily found! Haven't checked on this content for a while (4 months), so it was somewhat taxing to scroll through. K?thx, bye(winkyface). XoXooxXOOx
I find that goliaths + liberators are amazing here.
Nova face looks different.
so is this supposed to be an alternate release/story from StarCraft: Ghost?
Which button do you assign to select all army?
The subway looks like a nydus worm
wow the King at the end is named valerion not a reference to world of warcraft at all
22:31 Anyone else notice the right sieged liberator move while seiged? Lol
Please use Ravens for healing next time :D
lowko seriously build you base defence for these missions
Jump-scare warning at 2:40 beware headset users.
This mission is really hard on brutal. Not even bunches of siege tanks and liberators supporting my marines can win this easily.

GESUS DONT YELL LIKE THAT AFTER A QUIET CUTSCNE!!!!!!
Ragin Shadows Zoey *HALLO EVERYONE!*
My ears bleed
So the campaign team spent all their time here instead of the LotV campaign where you just a click everything
First thing i took out are Nydus Worms. Because knowing how they work in campaign, they will pop up in the most bs spot possible.
Shinigami Sama *Cough* All In *Cough*
Did Nova Just Flipped over a Marine over her shoulder?
Even a Flashpoint on Starcraft. Damn you Flash and your stupid time travels
wouldnt holing up in base with tanks, turrets, liberators, bunkers, everything... be better? while taking perma cloak suit, sniper, range helmet, aoe grenade and building like 10 nukes and just nuking every single zerg camp solo?
при всём восхищении Новой в миссиях она должна быть в шлеме госта и в экзоскелете . близы приторговывают сексизмом и .... большой им за это респект !
the cliff hanger is real i want to know what happens
Banelings the "bane" of your existence Ba dum crash*
This looks like hard difficulty. I did the entire campaign on brutal, and on this mission, a sh!tload of units attacked each side the whole time... Also, overseers and other units would spawn almost immediately on zerg bases until structures were killed.
Here, they don't respawn..... weird.
I thought the same thing, I was having a really difficult time today and the zerg didn't stop attacking me from all sides
wooops .... i founded the rest of the missions ... 😆😆😆😃
What this reminds me of is the Upside Down in Stranger Things :P
You should probably have set up a proper defence during the first few minutres so you wouldn't have to run back every time you were attacked. Honestly it was quite a bad idea leaving your base undefended.
So Davis is a traitor? I never liked her anyway while playing co-op
losing a couple units here no worries we can make more
Me: I have over 150 warp gates. Any units i lose, i don't care
Did he say “bawse”?
You need to build a proper defense in your base first before moving towards the objective. It's irritating that you keep pulling your army back when there is an incoming force coming towards your base. You will lose more than you are trying to build.
17:57 Hahahahahaha xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Hahaha what's so funny?
Oh oops, I numbered wrong, was laughing @ 17:57
isnt it better to put damage upgrade on marines for more damage output? each marine is cheaper and its easier to build more of them then any other type of unit...
+Zroh86 Yep, that's the reason why Engineering Bay upgrades are so good.
i meant upgrade from "unit technology" tab called "magrail munitions"... isnt it better on marines then marauders? or super stimpak is more useful?
Am I the only one that think he completly forgot the clear out the nydus worms part of the map :)
Yeah total failure at terran micro and macro
где ремонт техники ? :/
оба в бюстиках , но нова секси .... :) трололо!!!
DERPFESTOR!!!
the upgrade was way better on marines, if you have 20 marines wich is easy to have youll deal 400 every 30 sec, the other unit is not as spameable
What shinanigans even means dude? Lowko is repeating that word so many damn times
Guys! INfested Terran Campaign who agrees?
i dun understand y he keep doing those silly mistake
нова - валькирия
is it just me or does lowko really seem to struggle with anything that isnt just attack move. uses 1 hot key for everything so he loses alot of it to just running it into anti air or banelings. lol. really wish he would of seen that ravens HEAL mech lol to much to think about at once
Liberators are bad against corruptor I'm MP as well.
Liberators look awfully weak in comparison to void ray / destroyer army (i also took into account the costs of the units), liberator army is weaker in comparison void ray carrier army
lots of nukes would have been good here
third!
Voice volume was way higher than the game volume killed my ears
