G20 spotlights Husk Power & CEO Manoj Sinha (English)

Husk Power was founded in India in 2008, and pioneered the renewable energy minigrid industry. It remains the industry trailblazer, being the first minigrid company to achieve both profitability and scale, and impacting hundreds of thousands of people and businesses in rural India. In a UN Energy Compact signed in 2022, Husk committed to having 5,000 minigrids by 2030 in Asia and Africa.
