Franz Gordon was born in 1971 and raised in Lammhult, a small village in Sweden. Music was always an interest and from a young age he started playing the organ with his mother. He went to music school where he and his friends started a band inspired by the 80s synth-pop. In 1995 he moved to Stockholm to study at Svenska Musikkonservatoriet.
Through the years Franz has composed music within many different genres. Anything between pop, jazz, and even an album with a symphony orchestra, mixed by Bernard Löhr in Benny Andersson’s studio.
Today he delivers classical melodies inspired by the masters of classical music such as Bach, Debussy, Chopin and Ravel. With millions of listeners every month, Franz Gordon takes us back in time with proficient compositions and gifted piano playing.

Franz Gordon is such an underrated composer...
Yes
So much, he really deserves so much more.
Therefore, in order to reach a wider audience he shall find / establish a small orchestra. Even a quartet. Once all those beautiful compositions will be integrated violins & cellos , it will elevate . I would also lead one as a semi jazz style with contemporary beats. ....... It will reach a greater audience. People will hear of him. And of course, he will go on with his piano.
Does he actually compose these pieces himself? I've hardly found any information about him.

When I first heard Franz Gordon’s music I immediately thought to myself “Omg this guy’s brilliant!! His music sounds so much like Chopin’s!!” I’d like to know more about him but I could barely find anything on him on the internet which is a shame :( He’s criminally underrated. I’m surprised he doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page.
Indeed! As soon as I heard his music I instantly thought of Chopin, which is very high praise for any composer.
I'm sure he was a big inspiration to him.
That might also be the problem. He's good and reminds you of chopin. Someone would probably argue that it's "uncreative" to have a piece of music sound similar to one of the great Pianists. So they might think they might be imitating instead of being original. Which by all means isn't true but again some could think that and mistake it for chopin therefore most credit goes there and they forget about the name.
This is amazing. Franz has been my favorite musician for a long time, and he always knows how to touch the heart.

Escucho esta canción por primera vez, cierro los ojos y me imagino en un cementerio antiguo, esta nublado y estoy caminando por los pasillos internables de nichos, mientras mas me adentro al cementerio veo como las tumbas estan mas desgastadas, la pintura descascarada y los nombres apenas legibles, puedo sentir la briza fria recorrer los pasillos como una suave caricia y una sensacion de olvido, sigo avanzando viendo pequeños retratos desgastados de gente hombres y mujeres de años pasados, por alguna razón siento tristeza y amargura en sus miradas, a mis pies petalos de flores secas que seguramente cayeron ahi arrastrados por la briza, es como si me llevara a un lugar, me paro en una tumba y leo el nombre, es de un hombre que murio a los 30 años, hay una frase dedicatoria "En memoria de sus hijos y esposa, su recuerdo perdurara por la eternidad" al ver lo descuidada que esta el nicho no dejo de pensar que su recuerdo no fue eterno, sacudo el polvo de la tumba solamente por lastima.... abri los ojos y volvi a la realidad, la canción ya termino, pero todavia me queda esa leve sensacion de desespero por no ser olvidado.

At first it made me feel like falling in love with life, then it made me feel the existencial dread of all the meaningless of life and how I feel that it will get worse from here. That I'm only waiting for the unavoidable to happen. Not being able to find hapiness, freedom, nor friends. Having to work in a job I dislike that I barely make money. That is if I find a job. What's the point? Friends have been something that made me feel like it was worth it for a while. But they were selfish and didn't care about my feelings. Felt that I belong somewhere and that I was surrounded by a group of friends that I cared about. And that cared about me. And made me feel included. I guess I was wrong. I guess it was one sided. I guess I shouldn't have trusted. It was too good to be true. It kinda was my only purpose and motivation to be in college and go to clases. The only reason I got in college to begin with. Now... what? Is this what I had to learn for the rest of my life?

I am not sure but aren't there parts very similar to parts in "Für Elise"? Is that allowed, because I know that people producing modern music are heavily critizised if they do that? I really dont want to be disrespectful because this is beautiful music and I'm sorry if I was I would just genuinely like to know :)
