This channel is so much more than a metalhead reacting to rap. I think people love it so much because you're a genuine lover of music giving an honest reaction/interpretation of songs and their video's. Hope your channel blows up!
I see this song more like a relationship with the black culture, Africa and respecting his women and stuff, that's why they look like gods and giants xD
I like how you as a metalhead dont judge or try to make fun of a other music form then yours. I know its normal for people like you and me and most of your subscribers to not judge somthing because its different then what we would normally choose to listen to but im just sick of some people that dont have a open mind for these type of things. So yeah keep on keeping on my friend.
Here‘s a list of some smart and lyrical songs you might just wanna listen to: Free the robots- Capital Steez Swimming pools- Kendrick Lamar Chum- Earl Sweatshirt Temptation- Joey Badass Some songs of ,,the waters“ mixtape by Mick Jenkins (maybe ,,jazz,, ,,healer,, or ,,who else,,) Ill mind of hopsin 5 (and 7)- hopsin This life- Denzel Curry Exception- token Lost ones- j.cole Ross capicchioni- Joyner Lucas When i‘m gone- eminem By the way I really like your reactions, especially the reactions to kendrick. I like that you actually try to understand what the artist is saying. Keep doing this, it’s great!
I agree with people in the comments. I'm loving this videos, your style is amazing! Would love if you reacted to another song from the Black Panther's soundtrack, specifically Kings Dead.
Kendrick (who could represent all the lost African American's, soul searching and looking for answers) is on a "voyage to (and through) Africa that starts in an ark-like vessel with a sea of hands waving below. The hands might call to mind the bodies of those who drowned during the Middle Passage"...."“You can bring a bullet, bring a sword, bring a morgue, but you can’t bring the truth to me.” This line hints at the plot of the video, in which Lamar follows an inner calling to search for a truth America can’t offer him. His odyssey plays out the vision of the famous pan-Africanist leader Marcus Garvey, who advocated for African Americans to return to the continent a century ago"...He's humble in his quest and also seeks acceptance, because even though he wants to reconnect, he's still feels lost and alone in the world, without a home. Unapologetically, he makes it very well known that the western/eastern societies and countries needs to take a step back so African Americans and Africans displaced all over the world can find themselves, reconnect, and return to their roots....He meets the goddesses at the end, almost as if he's done being a "slave" to America and is ready to come home. He wants to get closer to the African Civilization, rich culture, history, and Spirituality....As SZA sings and celebrates, I believe, she represents the spirit of Africa, the pride, and the dream most African Americans have about Africa; the awakening. The video and the movie "Black Panther" hints at the struggling relationship between African Americans and Africa. Its like wanting to build a bridge to each other but the western/eastern societies are getting in the way. www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2018/03/all-the-stars-kendrick-lamar-sza-video-afrocentrism-afrofuturism/554306/
@@YousefAHMusic Lol nothing. I like looking back on pics in my phone to bring up different memories. I realize now how creepy that sounded. Sorry to concern you 😅
Ive watched all ur Kendrick reactions and I absolutely love the authenticity and the open mindedness that u have displayed. Thank u very much. Please look at Kendrick’s DNA. Strong message too. Very simple video but the message is fairly impactful
Flying Lotus - Never Gonna Catch Me ft. Kendrick Lamar (& on your own time, I'd recommend you check out the music video for Duality by Captain Murphy, although it's sadly too long to bear a reaction to.)
yasssssssssss loved black panther whole album is AMAZING. And I agree that all the shots with kendrick always look fly!! I also liked the Kings Dead music vid Kendrick put out, that's also on the black panther album. Fav song is paramedic tho! Good review as always!
I love your reaction to the video, from the perspective of a white man. I just wish you would have just acknowledged that the actual beauty in the entire video is the BLACKNESS. All the colors and contrast and textiles all marinated well because it was BLACK and BEAUTIFUL. That’s the point of it all. Blackness. ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽
Just watched all your reaction video's and I love how you can see you're genuinely becoming a Kendrick fan, I recommend listening to Cartoons & Cereal by him. It's by far my favorite Kendrick song but it's soooooo underrated!
You really should react to Death Grips! Their arguably the most abrasive and experimental hip-hop project out there. Being a metalhead too, I find that listeing to DG scratches the same itch i get from metal.
I'm a dark skinned Tamil guy aka brown guy but I have to say, I fucking love what Black Panther is doing for my shade of people. Beautiful BEAUTIFUL glorious blackness everywhere. This video/song is easily one of the greatest pop songs of all time as well imo.
You should react to kendrick lamar, jay rock, and futures "kings dead" its another song off the black panther sound track and the video is really entertaining.
My favorite reaction channel on UA-cam!!! Seen every reaction you have on this channel! Absolutely amazing! Keep it up man! 1 mil subs coming? Hope so! Love you and your videos!
I feel it's about the relationship between blacks in America, considering how they got here, and how American society treats them... denying their African heritage, when they were brought here as slaves. Why should blacks pretend to be white Americans? They are slaves to where they were born because of the consequence of history. A very bad thing took place. Anyway, that's been my interpretation of a lot of what has been put out by Kendrick and even Black Panther itself. Really touching. A coming out of the identities of the heritage of blacks in America. The tall African women are Egyptian goddesses.
Hey man! I love how you have a fresh perspective on music I've heard before. I appreciate how you focus on things you like and define the music/video by positives, rather than just bashing on things you aren't used to or don't think fit. Thanks for being awesome!
Started watching your videos a few days ago seen this I finally decided to subscribe, love how open minded you are, keep it up man 👍😊 I'd love to see you react to these two vids: J.Cole - Wet Dreams, and Lil Dicky - Pillow Talk. You're guarantied to laugh with the Lil Dicky vid 😂
11:26 I interpreted the giant women as African goddesses that Kendricks comes to see to pay his respects. The fact that they're unnaturally tall and the hall that Kendrick enters looks like an Egyptian inspired chamber for ritualistic worship made me think that they might be African goddesses. Ofc, they look so tall because they CGI-ed their height.
Haha, same here. I'm a metalhead but honestly I listen to and like all kinds of music, I just never really gave rap/hip hop a chance, but I'm doing that now through these reaction videos, and you can come along on my journey. :)
Great work again. Really enjoy listening to your input to both lyrics and visuals. You should review Isaiah Rashad's "Heavenly Father" and Capital Steez' "Free the Robots".
Could you possibly react to pretty much any song by nothing, nowhere. ? (yeah the weird punctuation is intentional), maybe his new song "ruiner" or one of his classics like "I've been doing well" would be a good, his style is a mix of hip hop and emo, and he's got some really deep and thought provoking songs, I have a feeling you'll enjoy his music quite a lot. P.S. Love your reactions and how you try to break songs down as they go along, keep up the good work man
I loved it bro!!! People have been talking about kendrick Lamar becoming too pop, and this video is evidence of it. My theory about the extremely tall women at the end is women empowerment. The whole black panther movie featured very strong women, and having women bigger, and probably stronger than Kendrick, in the video just alludes to that.
Can u please please react to Kendrick lamar's "u" It's music video is titled God is gangsta(with an added for sale interlude to the vid) It's his best performance for me Love ur vids❤

I really have to say again listen to the gucci gang remix from therealak its actually lyrical
Truth
I see this song more like a relationship with the black culture, Africa and respecting his women and stuff, that's why they look like gods and giants xD
Nice perspective! It could completely be that.
Yousef AH lmao its exactly that lol
Coronado G Hes paying homage to mother earth. It originated from Africa. Hes putting the truth back on the map
Genious genious genious
As an African myself, women are giants for real believe me 😆
The last part is more symbolic, Kendrick looks up to the motherland, they made the women bigger on purpose
Woah. Mind blown! Thanks for the perspective.
They are also representing some of the African Queens whose rule shaped Africa
Do King’s Dead by Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Future next. It’s also on the Black Panther Soundtrack, and you’d love the video
And future's verse haha
And its a Jay Rock song lol
I agree! Very good suggestion!
Ladidadida
But skip Futures part. 😂 please skip futures part cos it'd just do your head in

The women represent Orisha goddesses and the Amazon women that were trained to protect their king and were stronger than men.
Kendrick put together the Black Panther Soundtrack and the whole thing is honestly amazing haha. Of course though, I mean, Kendrick blessed it lol.

React to the Shinners 13 music video by Zillakami and Sosmula. It's hip hop with metal elements (in my opinion anyways)

Headstone is a song made for hip hop heads. Yousef wouldn't get 99% of the references so I would suggest a different song
Man , you have to listen to Kenrick Lamar - Cartoon And Cereal , there's clip , this song is the masterpiece of Kendrick , lyrics and different meanings just give me chills every time i listen to it.
