Taunting British soldiers by pelting them with bottles, oyster shells and ice till they fired. The Revolution had started in all the Colonys except one, Boston. Battles and scurmishes had occurred in surrounding towns however the British had left Boston and return only after the Revolution was won. A lot of Bostons make up is from generations of colonists, different faces, different ancestrys from different lands. The one thing that has not changed is the defiant attitude. If these protesters had known a bit of Bostons history their winning this one battle lost their war. Protesting is reserved for US citizens and might I add the police did a fine job at clearing the area.

It hasn't been stated officially from what I've seen, at least not here. Other places it's been due to violating university rules. On Yale and Columbia campuses, there have been allegations of assault and threatening of Jewish students, but I haven't heard any arrests or confirmation of assaults.
