Marvin Norcross does it again. Laverne tripp can be proud. This is his first Canaan album. I've been born again is a great example of Laverne Tripps singing and writing songs. I can't say enough about burl strevel. Out of the one hundred years of southern gospel music. Burl strevel is my all time favorite bass singer. Period. Freddie Daniels does an excellent job as first tenor. Bill crowe im jealous of you. Kenny Gates your a powerhouse of a piano player. Marvin Norcross you rascal you made a beautiful masterpiece again 9667 1969. Elmo fagg was great too of course. He just thought it was time for the great burl strevel to step up and became a great quartet manager which burl did. Canaan records is the Cadillac of southern gospel labels. Word incorporated. That group use to sing in Zanesville Ohio and would always go to my Uncle's house after the concert. I was just born but I'm told Laverne Tripp would drink a bunch of milk because it helped with his voice after singing for a long period of time at the show..... Matt McCallister, Zanesville Ohio
