Thought I was the only who preferred the CREEPERS version. Lol. Lose some violence in the process, But it pretty much edits out anything that isn’t enhancing the story & keeps it moving along. Don’t know how many people are willing to admit it, but Dario does have a habit of letting unnecessary scenes drag out in almost every movie of his.
Fun fact; the creepers version was edited down by the director of Freddy’s revenge for new line since he apparently had a very good eye for pace. Since you’re a huge part 2 fan I’m sure you can feel his presence on the creepers cut more.
I saw Creepers in theaters 4 times when it came out. I've the boxed 4K set from sometime ago I don't know if it's still available. I love this movie a lot and the 4K is superb. Good review and cool video Christian!👉😃👈
The International Cut is the sweet spot for me and does have an English dub. Did you know Jack Sholder (Nightmare 2) was in charge of the Creepers edit on behalf of New Line?
I was really disappointed with the deluxe set because it didn't have a Blu-ray and I really wanted to see the new documentary does this new version have one with the two versions of the film plus the extras great video Christian
I'm jealous I really want to scoop this up. But I splurged on the full moon sale getting the Puppet master blu ray set. Then from Vestron I got a few blu rays
Sounds fantastic and that new artwork is insane! This is an instant buy since Arrow Videos standard edition doesn't include Creepers. Do you believe we'll see a similar standard edition of their Tenebrae as well at a later point? The deluxe set is phenomenal but out of my alley price wise :)
I love Phenomena. i will say my opinion changed with the movie. I went from loving it to "seen it too many times. Not as good as Dario's other movies." to "it's probably my favorite Dario movie except for Suspiria." So I took a few years off not watching it, rewatched it after 5 or 6 years, loved it again and still love it. It's easily #2 of favorite Dario Argento giallo. It's also #3 for my favorite Dario Argento film. 1.Suspiria. 2.Tenebre. 3.Phenomena. Although I will say that I can't watch a 4K or bluray, etc of Suspiria. It ruins the color and the light for me. Takes away the magic of the light. Suspiria I prefer to watch in at least 720p. Anything else it just ruins the color and the lighting. And it took a few watches for me to really like and enjoy Inferno. it felt like a downgrade from Suspiria, but after the 5th time giving it a chance I actually started to like it. Still not a favorite, but it's still good. I love the chimp too. The metal music in the film...absolutely agree. Dario knew how to use the metal music and like a lot of fans have said "You would think it WOULDN'T WORK but it actually does work perfectly." Which is impressive. As for subtitles and dubbing...it really does depend on the movie. Some Italian movies I'll watch the dubbed version and go "I prefer the italian subtitle version", and others "I prefer the dubbed version." Sometimes the dubbing is better then the original Italian version.

I went with the arrow creepers 4K deluxe set because you can’t beat that poster with the chimp holding a razor blade on a beautiful purple background

Weird you say that because Synapse hit it out of the park, especially with the lighting. The color pallete is intense and vibrant.
