He has given so much to people, which must have took lots of energy , he if someone deserves retirement. Such a wonderful, kind human being and brave, he shows you can be yourself and different and that no one should be bullied for who they are.
What's wrong with helping yourself? All that work he did required a lot of dopamine. To sustain that level of dopamine, you need lots of selfcare. @@DonnyHooterHoot

And, yet again he said every time he went on tv with the media that it was time for him to step away and, he said,and, he also wanted to start living more of a personal life and, yet, every time he made those last 2 appearances on Dave Letterman he said, the same thing and, Dave Letterman hounded him for it and told him he couldn’t. Then, Letterman even had the nerve to even say what does that mean! Letterman told him he couldn’t because of who he was! But, that is his choice and, it’s his life and, at the end of the day you know what is best for you and, that ‘s your decision,whether people like it or not and, he doesn’t have to answer to no one, after all it’s his life regardless of who is or what he was, even f you don’t like their choices, because, it’s his life and, his choice!

I saw a biography on him once. I just can't remember what it was called. Anyway, it was so enjoyable. I've always liked him, but after watching that biography I realized what a great person he truly is and what an interesting life he's lived.

I met Richard in Philly, back in the 90's by mere chance. We had passed by him and I had first hand glimpse of his genuine charismatic charm. He started swirling around me touching my then long hair, telling me how beautiful it was, joking if it was even real. This man's energy draws a crowd like nobody's business! 🫶 Truly a sweet man with jokes ready to pull from his pockets to make you smile. 🙏 Respect💜

If I could talk to Richard Simmons, I would tell him that he was the only person who could motivate me to get up off the couch to dance to the oldies while he was on that screen. I would come home from work change clothes, pop in any one of his tapes and work it out. Wouldn't matter how tired I was. It was 1996 & I was getting married in 1997. I never stopped loving it, enjoying it, and benefiting from Richards fabulous energy & voice. Honestly, Richard has never been out of my prayers. So valuable in my life. When he vanished from our lives, so much worry about his well being. It's so good to know he is doing well. I owe you so much, Richard, I would be happy to know that you know how important you have been in so many lives. Thank you for years of giving us so much of yourself. You're the best. May The Force Be With You.
For 30 plus yrs enjoyed Richard Simmons joyous enthusiasm which always left me happier. I love you darling soul. How lovely to know you’re still well & thriving. I remember watching Richards work outs back in the 80's on antenna TV.. Always a positive person.. Great energy.. Hope he is still as positive in life, And not letting life get him down.. He should atleast be paid.. But much like the Johnny Cash film they made "Walk the Line". They made one of the famous people estates mad and tried to sue..

As for the movie coming, they may have wanted to "make a beautiful film" it looks good but just because one can do something doesn't mean that you should. Richard Simmons has always seemed to hold his personal story close to his heart and openly shared it but it's HIS story! Without his permission or blessing people are making money off of his personal story. Richard said no, he's not happy about it but there's nothing he can do about it and in keeping with his character, he quietly walked away without making a scene.
No matter how beautiful, I will respect Richard Simmons as he has always tried to respect others by not seeing this movie.

My son and I were talking about him not long ago, he thought Richard had passed and I told him I don’t think so. Happy I was right. He has a good heart and soul and as far as I know has caused no harm to anyone. My favourite Richard Simmons moment was the time he was a guest on Who’s Line Is It. I laughed so hard I had tears.

Richard Simmons takes me back to the 80's and being home with two babies. I loved watching his show every morning and bought his album (yes on vinyl) so I could exercise while my boys napped. Loved his positivity and smiling face!

I love you, Richard…..you’ve got more supporters than bullies….dont let those bullies get to you….you know what, I had years between elementary and junior high schools with kids bullying me and calling me an FF…..and now at the age of 59, I’m still being bullied by a few people on UA-cam but I am overcoming it making myself stronger and stronger.
