Nice singing. Exceptionally beautiful woman. This opera was composed in under two weeks, the second greatest musical achievement after Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Donizetti was a super genius. I have seen the 600 page score at the public library, and i would estimate i couldn't even copy the score in two weeks. Modern composers with all the computers at their disposal can barely get an opera done in 14 months. If you download the score you will see what i mean. It's loaded with detail.
