Lennon, who wrote this gem, thought it was crap - not sure why, bc it’s great. As usual, McCartney’s baseline is brilliant.
He said he dug it in the documentary. Throughout the 70’s, he was very dismissive of most things that had to do with The Beatles. His state of mind changed like the weather, he didn’t always mean the things he bitterly said :-)
@@Nerkin610 Yes, he was quite mercurial.
@@Nerkin610 I wish more people shared your opinion. I certainly do.
@@Nerkin610 i do'nt think he was bitter when he said this (in 1980 to Playboy?). But i agree he changed his mind a lot about his songs.
This shows how brilliant Paul was on the bass.
I'm surprised this song isn't talked about more, I love it!
This bass line deserves way more recognition
The quality and accuracy of your playing / transcription is just great.
Thank you thank you thank you!
One of my favorite bass lines from Paul. It’s just so incredibly well done. Great cover man
Thank you!
Nice! This is great! Can you do I've got a feeling next?
Noooo problem!
Always loved this bass line! Good stuff 👍
That is a really great bass line.
You're really cool for doing all these. Thank you so much!
Excellent as always.
great cover as always
Thank you so much!!! I was trying to find accurate bass tabs for this
Awesome cover you nailed it 👍
Excellent job.👍
Excellent job
Grazie Lefty. Much appreciated!
Great job!!!!!
Love this
Nice sound!
Excellent, thank you and I wish you a happy New year
Thank you and happy new year to you!
Dope! Do "I am the Walrus" next, that line is out of control
Great!! Please made "I've got a feeling", a beautiful song.
This one's great! I was trying to figure it out myself with the isolated track but it seems you were a bit faster than me 😄 Btw, are you planning to do any post-Beatles stuff from Paul from his solo career or Wings? He has some really great stuff really and I was hoping you would do some, I'm just gonna name a few tracks which I think are great and I'm sure you could pull off: Silly Love Songs, Mrs Vandebilt, Band On The Run, Eat At Home, Junk, Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey, She's My Baby, Goodnight Tonight (there's definitely more but these are some I remember off the top of my head)
Another Day for me please.
Too many people
great video!
Thank you!
Ouço essa sequência de baixo um milhão de vezes e quero ouvir mais.
Obra-prima.
Ivet got a feeling and get back please
Thank you brothers, Me hands getting a bit cold to play the chords...
SHOW !!!!
Grande, te la volevo chiedere, protesti fare anche i’ve got a feeling? 👍
Another great video!
I have a question, you obviously play the Hoffner bass for a lot of Beatles tracks, but what do you think of this guitar, e.g. what it’s like to play etc compared to a more traditional/modern bass guitar?
To be honest, it's a very uncomfortable bass, I find it unbalanced and a bit tricky with the electronics. Very hard to tune (my bass is the Hofner Ignition, the cheaper version). I must say it has a great powerful sound and it clearly reminds the typical Beatles style.
Nothing to compare to a Fender Jazz bass or a Precision or my Sandberg California. Every bass is good for its way of playing. If you're playing bass you obviously can't use a Sandberg California which has a very brilliant sound...
And of course, the manifacture quality is different but my Hofner costs 300 dollars while the others costs at least 1800....
@@LeftyBassman the Sandberg California sure looks like a great bass.
Thanks for the reply and keep up the awesome videos.
All the best for 2022!
@@LeftyBassman Get Flatwounds, pickup covers, and a foam mute for your Jazz Bass to be like Paul McCartney ua-cam.com/video/lTjt4-MmLHg/v-deo.html
@@LeftyBassman As I remember, Paul more than once said the same thing. He didn't always like playing live with it because it would easily slip out of tune.
@@LeftyBassman it's a pity it's hard to tune. The sound you make is great, though.
I can hear McCartney's bass going out of tune on some of the Get Back rooftop tracks, or am I mistaken?
fine
Cool, on a real lefty's Hofner Violin Bass
What muting techniques do you use?
Old strings 😂
Nearly all pentatonic.,,save that b7. Nice video
Please do i me mine
Great tone, what strings are you using ?
La Bella flatwounds and some plugins...
ABOUT a girl's first love, her horse.
Everybody's got something to hide exept me and my monkey please
Great job on this. Thank you. However, in my opinion it is a silly riff.
