I feel you and can relate to your seasonal depression. After living 8 years in a warm blue sky sunshine every day place on the Earth, I moved back home to Belgium where the sky is grey and it rains most days... it was so hard on my mental health. Good on you for pulling through!!! Also, amazing on the studio apartment!
thank you so much!! seasonal depression is tough as it's often difficult to escape once you're in it. hoping things are better for you now 🤍🤍
In the UK, we get months without feeling warmth of the sun on our backs. The past few weeks it has been sunny and lovely to go outside without a jacket. The first time the warmth of the sun hits your back is incredible. Thanks for your vlogs.
totally! so glad you've been able to enjoy the weather recently 🤗
As always, just want to thank you again Tia for being so open with your mental health in your videos. My half sister had seasonal depression so I completely believe that the winter there would have been a big factor in your recent struggles, along with everything else!
I love seeing how you light up when you talk about your classes this semester. I’m so glad you’re doing subjects that you’re truly enjoying. That history assignment sounds really interesting.
Living off campus later this year sounds like a super exciting change - can’t wait to see how you make it your own.
I’m so glad you’re getting to spend time back home with family over this uni break. I know how much they mean to you.
Keep on keeping on! 💜
@@donaldrichards3373 the stigma around mental health is slowing disappearing, but comments like this only serve to exacerbate it. One day this old-school mentality of keeping mental illness a secret will be a thing of the past.
I don’t know of any jobs where a mental health history would automatically preclude you from employment as long as you are well-managed and have a good support system. Lying about having no mental health concerns and then having them come to light later on is probably more of an issue than being upfront in the first place.
As a student paramedic about to go through recruitment for multiple services, mental health history is something they take very seriously, but only in terms of making sure you are supported and in a good place mentally to be able to meet the demands of the role.
@@donaldrichards3373 luckily I don’t think Tia is looking at careers with any of those organisations.
thank you so much Emily, reading this comment and feeling your support means a lot to me ❤️❤️ seasonal depression truly is a difficult one. I'm grateful to be taking classes that are making me fall in love with learning! It's an amazing opportunity.
very excited to be living off campus next year!! I'm hoping it will work well for me, and I have a few friends moving off as well now so I won't be the only one not on campus. definitely looking forward to seeing my family, I'm counting down the days! hope everything on your side of the world is going well xxx
@@TiaChitty so glad you’ve got classes you’re enjoying! Awesome that you’ve got some friends moving off campus too - that’ll hopefully make the transition a bit easier for you 🤞🏼. Bet your family is keen to spend some time with you again too!
All going ok in my neck of the woods 💜
💕💕 Listening to you talk about your History assessment makes my heart so happy. I wish I could read it. I am so passionate about teaching the next generation about the shared history of Australia and making sure our First Nations people are more respected in regards to their history and treatment in the ‘settlement’ of Australia.
I also wanted to say that I love the little community you have grown here on UA-cam - everyone is so kind and supportive ☺️
I'm so so grateful for this community! everyone truly is so kind and supportive 🥰🥰
Thank you for always being so raw and honest with us, I hope speaking about it helps you and helps you to heal, and congratulations on reaching the halfway point in your Yale journey, to think you have all these videos to look back on when you graduate and are out in the big wide world is amazing, we are so very proud of you and please keep up the amazing work, you are incredible
I love that your focusing on First Nations voices! i suggest reading 'Dark Emu', it gives great insight into how advanced Indigenous Australians are and their lives during invasion.
@@donaldrichards3373 Just for reference, when referring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people you should use the previous term or First Nation Australians and not 'aborigines'. In many ways America and Australia are similar in our history. Eg, being colonised by the British and then committing and continuing to comit mass genocide on the respective Indigenous custodians.
@@donaldrichards3373 Manifest Destiny sounds disturbingly like trying to justify colonising other countries. It also says a lot about the morals and values of your country as a whole (if the shoe fits). I am Swiss Australian, Yes. Australia has been draining the resources out of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands for decades and has done nothing to help their countries in return. I think their decision to take a deal from China is therefore understandable and if it's what they believe is best for them, then they should take it. In regards to you thinking they will invade Australia, it's quite presumptuous and paranoid and its people like you that people use to justify spending 30% of your nations tax on defense (Its fucking ridiculous, help those in need instead). And if they do invade Aus I'm sure your country will have to come fight for us as we do for you when you invade the Middle East like colonisers.
thank you so much Anika, I will definitely check out 'Dark Emu'! I appreciate the suggestion 💕
It’s like watching Gilmore Girls!!! You remind me so much of Rory
I am at the start of my (summer) semester right now and your vlogs are helping my productivity soooo much! I am not good at studying and struggled the last semester, but after watching your videos I kind of feel like getting my drive back. Thank you for that!
you spoke about getting a headache, have you tried blue light glasses :))
oh good idea! I have a pair but totally forgot about them
Sending love to anyone struggling right now, it’s almost summer and you have made it this far 💪🏽
Glad you’re feeling better Tia. Continuous rain here in Northern NSW has had me feeling a bit down too. Good luck in finals week and have a safe trip home xx
thank you!! sending you lots of love 💕
Hey Tia, it's so great seeing another video from you 😊 Your uploads always make my day xx
I've loved watching your vlogs for a long time now and can't wait to see more of your life at Yale and everything else you're getting up to ❤️
thank you so much Alexa!! you've been supporting me for so long, and I really appreciate you being a part of this community 🤗🤗💕🌟
Have you always wanted to go to Yale? I admire your grind. Like to move from such a beautiful country like ours Australia. And be away from family and friends at a young age. Props to you and i wish you nothing but all the best. Education is important these days.
Your videos are so amazing i hope you can get through your mental health battle you CAN do this. I was wondering if you could do another video on training with yale except explain the sets more I am in the process of trying to find new sets and what the do to help with your running for example speed or stamina
Really good video, hope everything is going well at college, also hope your mental health improves just remember you are doing a really good job xxx
The weather is one of my main reasons to study abroad hopefully CA in the US for Uni and not studying a place where it’s cold the majority of the year.
You recently asked for book recommendations on your Instagram, did you started reading any new books?
yes!! in my latest video I mention I'm currently reading 'red, white, and royal blue' - it is AMAZING, would highly recommend
Love your videos! Inspired my channel x
Hi Tia, as an Australian student, did you have to take the SAT in order to apply to Yale?
Awesome video Tia Peace and love and big fan ✌️☮️😊💗
Tia everytime I get unmotivated in school I watch your videos 😭😭
from morocco . love this video
Hi Tia! Have you tried light box therapy?
Are you able to take vitamin D, Iron etc supplements? It definitely helps my mental health when they're at good levels. You should be able to get prescribed them, or ask doctor what level of supplement is needed and buy it over the counter (maybe like at Walmart?)
I buy iron tablets at the supermarket for example.
@@listay1 Hi Lisa, that is very nice. For example, I purchase mine at night from a cough-syrup sipping Mexican immigrant in a little known alleyway in El Paso.
Keep up the awsome job👌🏽
Much healing love 💕 I miss Claire’s corner copia. Please wear a hat scarf and gloves. And a thin silky long johns won’t get too hot but will keep you warm outside. 🌍🌲🌷💃🏻⛄️🎸☕️
Oh so nice vlog, you are so inspiring😍
I also just made a new video! 💓
Hi tia
im sure the fam bam has told you - but don't forget to organise your vote for the federal election!
ohhh actually maybe u will be back in time - 21/05?
She did it in the video 😃😃
@@elizatotty4295 ohhhh good must have missed it. For some reason I love Tia's vids while making dinner so sometimes miss things
