I thought this, until I played it, when I started I thought wtf is this I may aswell be playing untamed or whatever the old ones were called, but when you play in 1st person on the nationals tracks it is actually so good, it's like playing Mx bikes sim railing corners and the tracks are op. Overall this game is very good and worth buying. The career is good too if you want o put the time into completing it

Motocross Madness 2 ❤️❤️❤️ Forever my favorite dirtbike game glad to see a comment like this lol. I haven’t played my copy since going Windows 7 or 8.1 years ago and losing the ability to use hardware acceleration, can’t stand that software render virtual machine was always an option I suppose.
I wonder did others know about how to do 360s and 720s in Madness2?

The latest patch significantly improved the game for me.
I was so, so close to refunding this game within the first two hours of playing, but decided to stick with it, luckily the patch was pushed before I did so -- it paid off. I think Rainbow studios had a tough time balancing the base level, non-upgraded MX bikes, with ATV and UTV physics. Basic tuning, even an upgraded suspension and engine greatly improves how MX's handle.
I'm an older MX vs ATV player, unleashed/untamed were the last games I played, and this series has changed quite a bit since then. It took me a while to get used to the new handling system but it's quite fun once you give it a chance.
I have my frustrations with the game for sure -- music system is super weird sometimes? Volume levels, weird panning issues, FX blaring randomly - and the online mode being highly unintuitive - career mode is pretty bland -- I think these things can be fixed in time, the developer clearly wants to make the game right.
This video review is a bit premature - I'd say give it a chance.

MX vs ATV Reflex was the last good game they made (Alive was"ok"). Doesn't seem like they ever upgraded their game engine since then. Sad, really loved these games growing up.

The game engine had to be completely rebuilt after Alive due to the whole THQ going bankrupt thing.
They base the controls off what reflex had in regards to the dual sticks (like every other mx game since) but it is completely different.

I will say that Mx vs atv reflex is still the best in terms of quality/controls, im not proud of that statement though, that game came out 13 years ago and its sad to say it was better

@@Trailboss11 totally agree with you bud its a shame honestly iv been playing for 2 days off and on and I honestly like it definitely alot of learning to do and people saying the bike slips all over the place they literally used the stock noob bike for 5 mins and called it a bug 🤦‍♂️ and said refund before upgrading and tuning the bike 😂😂 makes me laugh truth is people are expecting to much no game is going to replace a real riding experience of a real bike on a real track with arm pump with the small of the old 2 stroke oil strawberry 😂😂 not in our day anyway I actually can't ride anymore buggerd up my hips and this is the next best thing I have to something I can never do so bug or not its still cool to ride with bros out on the track 🤷‍♂️

Apparently the default settings are set to crap. If you change steering to dual stick or single stick it completely changes everything and becomes a very very good game

All I can say is thankfully I had a 2 hour trial to play and didn't even use half of that before making my mind up. 19.99 but not full price game.
Open world until you get bounced off the invisible walls after driving straight for less than 2 mins.

It looks like the biggest issue here is, primarily coming down to the physics and handling. It looks like turning and drifting is, kinda stiff. With you blasting forward when you end your drift on an ATV. Not sure if that applies to quads though. Honestly, if that was tightened up, I'd say this would be a pretty solid "mess around and have fun" kind of game! Hope to see it get some good upgrades in the future, and new entries int he future, work on improving the parts that havent worked, to get the core fun focused in.

It shouldn’t have even been released I’d gladly take a refund. Here’s why.
The game has a strong core. Certain shit definitely pisses me off though. The maps are big but useless, the storyline of the game is for an 8 year old, and the AI Difficulty is trash. There’s no reason I should be able to get a 45 sec split time on GOAT Difficulty on a CR125 in a 450 race. The wheelie dynamics are garbage. The crew 2 has better wheelie physics. The customization is shitty. The biggest thing is that there’s NO PLASTICS ON PURCHASED BIKES. I was pissed to know I spent $10 on the Honda pack to not be able to get shit for it. The audio needs work bad too. The graphics should be significantly better too

Newer players might enjoy.. but OGs that started with mx unleashed or mx vs atv will not enjoy.. I feel like I’m playing a ps2 game. The controls are horrible and the rider feels so stiff.. they had a good thing going on with reflexes controls.. it felt perfect through reflex and alive.. I don’t see why they wouldn’t just keep those physics for this game… solid 2 out of 10 for me.

Needs more updates. This game has potential. Has alot of issues that shouldn't be happening. Controller just stops working for no reason. The smoother I go the more often I have to reset the Controller. That's the main issue. There's more. Super annoying. Wish they'd drop a game that wasn't so riddled with bugs. This game isn't worth it at this point. Unless you like being frustrated.

I play on Series X. This game is fun, visuals are clean and crisp with great lighting. Tracks are amazing with dirt deformation. Handling and physics are way better than all the reviews are saying. Tons of content most fun I've had in a racing game in a long time.

Personaly physics wise this dominates its area only considering that other games in its category like mx bikes and some other pc games that take alot of bandwidth and power to run even at medium standards they still lag and fall behind. Personaly the physics in this game and the control are definetaly different but there moderate and you kind of adjust after time. I only bring this up because his reaction and ideology of the game seamed a little harsh...

With AI, more so in I guess milestones side. Id love more consistent. And even if 3 stats. Speed, aggression, control. Or just Set each AI rider hard, Realistic, a few extra Realistic, some med. So series are more a 3 or 4 guy face off. And the tracks more spread.

Dude this game is so fkn terrible. Ive been playing it for 2 weeks now and I thought maybe it would take just a little time to get used to but no. Each time I play it I hate the game even more than the last. Its constant sliding and random kicks from all directions are the most annoying thing you'll ever experience. You can't even stay in a straight line without the bike wanting to slide away and lose traction. Oh, and don't forget how the bike loves to just skip over every bump to point your skipping off the side of the track crashing. Its a bad game, I don't think anyone at thq rides dirt bikes or ever even has before, cos these physics have really set the bar high in terms of garbage. Im trying to get a refund cos this game aint it.
