In this episode, Monica states that she doesn't believe in soulmates, yet at her and Chandler's wedding, she explicitly refers to him as "Her Soulmate" in the vows.
She just used soul mate as a romantic word. Words in vows don't have to be literal. I mean Chandler wasn't exactly a prince either.
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 you're right
“I believe in tall handsome strangers that hit on my wife”, Chandler and his lines are gold.
Why would it mean anything how handsome or beautiful other men or women are, when your husband or wife ONLY loves you. Allow me to share this with you. No man or woman can hit on you, unless you allow it. 💯🥰
They are! 😂
"Don't worry we will find you someone else"
LMAO 😂😂
Finally someone who can actually see the funny side and not act as though Phoebe is Satan
😂😂
Phoebe tried to separate Monica and Chandler or ruin their relationship on multiple occasions.
Such as?
She hated their relationship from minute one for absolutely no reason
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186
1. She told Chandler about Monica having lunch with Richard despite the fact that Monica asked her not to. This nearly ruined their 1 year anniversary trip, that she invited herself on
2. She told Chandler about how Monica was intending to hookup with Joey that night in London. This caused him to have second thoughts about getting married. Seriously, who does that?
3. The one in this clip. She claims that this new guy she's dating is Monica's soulmate and introduces him to everyone almost like an attempt to spite Chandler.
Let's not forget her reaction when she found out about their relationship. When Joey, Rachel, and Ross found out about their relationship, they had the usual type of reactions that most people would have. But when Phoebe learned of it, she yelled "CHANDLER AND MONICA. CHANDLER AND MONICA" at the top of her lungs and then proceeded to shout "MY EYES MY EYES!!" as if she was seeing a dead body getting their organs harvested. She hated their relationship from minute one.
@@superjackster0165She was also the 1 who talked Chandler into forgiving Monica about the Richard thing. Also Monica shouldn't have had that lunch in the first place.
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 It still wasn’t her place to tell Chandler. Even then, she never apologized to Monica for telling her
Both Phoebe and Rachel seemed to be very mean-spirited towards Chandler later in the series, with him not doing anything to warrant such scorn. At least he gave her away at her wedding, so there were no hard feelings.
Most of them threw shade at him excpet Ross😂😂
The Writers need to explain it why it happened
@@TheBandit025NovaI do have one theory. Phoebe became a lot more cruel around Season 5. This was around the same time that Joey became a lot dumber and more stupid than he was in the past. I’m guessing that the writers didn’t want to have 2 idiot main characters and decided to change Phoebe to instead be the mean girl of the group
@@nickjaxon1317But there were moments and lines from Phoebe that hinted that she despised Chandler’s mere existence. Like, where did that behavior come from? She didn’t treat him like that at all in the earlier seasons
@@superjackster0165ur looking too deeply into it
One of the numerous reasons why I hate Phoebe (despite the writers trying to pass off her rudeness, hypocrisy, indolence and nonsenses as being frank, sassy or quirky)
They practically made Phoebe a narcissist in the later seasons
Wow Phoebe is a HORRIBLE friend
A bit insensitive or thoughtless. Still I think horrible is a bit extreme
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186No she was horrible. Especially in the later seasons. She constantly tried to destroy Monica and Chandler’s relationship, had no filter, repeatedly insulted the other characters (most notably Ross and Chandler) with absolutely zero regards to how that made them feel, spilled secrets without even apologizing for it, etc. Whenever someone finally had the nerve to stand up and call her out for what she did, Phoebe would immediately play victim and act like the person calling her out was the bad guy.
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 she basically told Chandler his wife would divorce him…….
The way they look at Chandler 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
Phoebe was clearly on a mission to destroy Monica and Chandler’s relationship and you can’t convince me that isn't the truth. She hated their romance from minute one
Somehow I feel like if Joey did this ud be defending him
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 Joey would’ve never done something like this. He actually was the biggest supporter of Monica and Chandler’s relationship. He even helped them keep it a secret for months
Yes, I do believe this too.
You're looking too deep into moments that are only made for shits and giggles, this is not some intricate storytelling where a character is 'on a mission' to do something, these are just random moments made for jokes, yes the writers did make her character a bit too cranky and bullying type but it's not like that was her entire character in the later half of the show, she also had nice moments, joey got turned into a dumbass but he also had moments where he showed decent amount of intelligence, it's basically really inconsistent random writing overall, there's no consistent storytelling like 'on a mission' type of stuff going on here
@@flaminggodofthunder9212We have a woman constantly putting someone down and saying their wife isn’t good enough and constantly starts drama in their relationship for her own amusement. What part of that is supposed to be funny?
Did Don and Monica have more in common? Sure but Chandler and Monica go way back so they were still the most compatible compared to their other partners in the show.
RIP Matthew Perry 😢💔🕊️🌹🙏🏼.
The video is about Chandler not Matthew Perry
@charlieandthechocfactrules9186 there wouldn’t be Chandler without Matthew Perry so what he said is fine.
Joey getting dumber and Phoebe becoming rude was another shift in the tone of the show.
Joey getting dumber is probably what led to Phoebe becoming rude and cruel. In the earlier seasons, Phoebe was the dumb one. But after Joey got dumber, I’m guessing that the writers didn’t want to have 2 dumb main characters. So they changed Phoebe to instead be the mean girl of the group. That’s my personal theory
@@superjackster0165No Joey was always the dumb one
I'd argue that Joey was also more caring in later seasons
Yeah Joey got too dumb in the later episodes. He was never the brightest, but he wasn’t a complete idiot either.
@@charlieandthechocfactrules9186No he wasn’t. Sure, in the early seasons, he wasn’t the smartest or brightest person. But he wasn’t a complete idiot like he was in the later seasons
"Don't worry 😉 we'll find you someone else."
She had such perfect delivery 😂
Remember that episode of the Good Place where Ted Danson said that all the Friends characters belong in the Bad Place except Phoebe?
Well...
Phoebe is overrated. She's hilarious but she's one of the worst of the six main characters
Phoebe is overrated
1:28 his face!😅😅😆
One of my favorites. Chandler was peak in this season
After season 5 Phoebe is not cute or quirky
She is just plain bad friend just the worst
She became a narcissist
❤Phoebe, always optimistic:
"And the good news is you don't even believe in soulmates so..."
"Don't worry we'll find you someone else"
😂😂😂
Cynicism is not optimism.
@@redacted2275 In Phoebe World it is though, that's part of the humour in Friends, a sitcom, not real life.
I love him.
Don is kind of looking like a younger version of Richard😂😅
Phoebe is a silly character but she tried so hard to break up Monica and Chandler that it wasn't even funny. She always found a way to make them argue and she mentioned lots of times how didn't like their relationship.
Phoebe was pure evil!
I love you…. 🥲💜💙
This video shows every guys fear #insecurity... 😂😂
I came for a good laugh but then you read comments infested with 2 very specific incels friendcels dudes, like omg it's a sitcom don't ruin people's fun 🤦🏻♂
We have a woman constantly putting someone down and saying their wife isn’t good enough and constantly starts drama in their relationship for her own amusement. What part of that is supposed to be funny?
@@superjackster0165factssss!! Phoebe always went out of her way to put Chandler and Chandler and Monica down all the time. So unnecessary and mean. I know it's a sitcom, but still that's mean

What kind of nonsense scene is this?! First of all, I didn't know both Chandler and Monica were married, and second of all, why Monica is looking for a soulmate, when she already have Chandler, or in other words, happy with Chandler?! Well, the last line of Phoebe was funny, I can say. But, Monica acting all insensitive, same as Phoebe, and that guy like disrespectful to Chandler who happens to be her husband, if I may say so. The scene all together is just funny in a sad way. 💬🥰
I think you misunderstood the context... Monica never intend to find soulmate in this episode as far as I can remember. Phoebe accidentally brought her date to coffee shop whose seemingly very compatible with her, hence the soulmate joke. It's just Phoebe's behavior seems intentional and doesn't resonate with many audience
@@kutukan2219At 0:08 and 1:13 Phoebe implies that she thinks the guy is Monica's soul mate *and she had previously said that to Chandler.*
@@redacted2275 I know... I'm just trying to be neutral. This whole evil phoebe sentiment already heating in the comment section and when I try to engage in the conversation most of them replied immaturely and exessively aggressive. If this goes any hotter we're gonna see a swedish sitting around with a towel cracking open a cold one 🤣
So many inconstancies
@joannayork1422 ... inconsistencies maybe?
Normalizing an extra 23rd chromosome is wrong. This show is no better then shameless. Both are "cult" classics a reason why only one person from each show has made some thing worth watching
