Yes!! That and the Cosby show is what started the sharp upward climb of black America. But I will stand 10 toes down that it was the popularization of gangsta rap that that brought everything back down. All of a sudden it was cool to be a criminal and have nothing. I was there and watched it happen.
She didn't bring us a different world, she became apart of that show and changed it for the better as Director/ Producer but she did bring us Fame....

I have followed her through the years…. To see her dance is amazing. Back in the day when she did the commercials for hair products,she would dance and kick high her heels - she was and is FLAWLESS. The video I Love her in is with Sylvester. She descends down those steps like no other. The video includes Aunt Viv ( fresh Prince of Belair) Norm Nixon( husband) Jasmine Guy (Whitley) and the one and only Sylvester.!!!!!!! That video brings back memories.
