Hi Marvin, sorry to hear what happened to you. But just to share we were granted 24 hr transit visa last July 2024 when we went to Russia for vacation and had a connecting flight in Shanghai via China Eastern airline. We are 3 friends with Philippine passport on DIY trip. We entered Shanghai twice both on approved 24 hr transit visa one onward to Russia and one return to Manila from Russia . We arrived during the daytime and yes we booked a nearby airport hotel prior reaching Shanghai. We were able to explore Shanghai on a limited time using the transit visa. So dunno if Guangzhou Immigration is much stricter or maybe its the IO. I havent uploaded my travel vlog so posting this here also to give Pinoys idea that yes its possible for Philippine Passport holder to get 24 hour transit visa in China. Anyway I admire Marvin's ability to keep his composure and not affect his mood despite the stresses of traveling while keeping up with his happy disposition. Keep it up!
@@marvinsamaco Hindi ko din na-gets why you were denied entry. It is stated here from the China US embassy website na pwede all other Nationals for a: "1. 24-hour visa-free transit policy China has implemented a 24-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign nationals from all other countries around the world at all its accessible exit-entry ports. Foreign nationals holding valid international travel documents and connecting tickets with confirmed seats, who intend to transit via China by international flights, ships, or trains to third countries or regions, are exempt from visa applications, provided that their stay periods in China will not exceed 24 hours and that they will remain within the corresponding ports. Those who plan to leave the ports must apply for temporary entry permits at the exit-entry border inspection authorities of the corresponding ports."

@@marvinsamaco I've read sa website ng Embassy (CHina-PH) na hindi kasama ang Guangzhou sa mga cities na pwede maggrant ng temp-free visa for us Filipinos.
I was granted a 24 hour transit visa while I was on layover in China on my way back to the Philippines on Dec 10. Last entry was in Shanghai, but I was also able to transit in Guangzhou and Beijing. For a temporary 24 hour visa, you must fill out a different arrival card than a regular one. In addition, the transit time must be longer than 10 hours or so to qualify for a 24H temporary visa. Furthermore, I suspect that the reason why you weren't allowed was that you were entering the city at night, unlike most of my transits, which take place during the day. Since you are entering at night, they're expecting your purpose was to rest comfortably in hotels rather than at an airport while in transit. I think they are not expecting tourists wandering around the city in the wee hours, they are asking for your booked accommodations. The others were probably just affected by the fact that they were also Filipinos and thought you were their companion. I guess?
Please don’t leave your luggage unattended. What if mapagkamalan syang explosive, etc. Be a good sample to your viewers baka maging trend pa yan na iwanan nalang sa airport pag di kaya ang extra fee and iclaim nalang pag nakabalik ng to that country. You also talk on not wanting to waste the time of other person - pero how about yung tao na makakakuha ng luggage mo, pag surrender nya sa lost and found, pag hanap ng contact mo, pagemail sayo ng staff, etc. - worst, kung may disruption pa sa airport due to unknown luggage I normally love your video pero parang off lang yung technique sa extra luggage. But more power parin and charge to experience nalang.
Don’t feel bad, Marvin. I subscribed to your channel because I enjoy how you navigate through all your travel mishaps. You always manage to bring such good vibes! But I have to say, my absolute favorite moment has to be when you rented a bike in Korea and got a bit lost-so relatable and hilarious! Keep up the great work! 😊
Right. Silver lining.. at least you, ang dami mo na napupuntahan at naeexperience, sila.. hmm.. hehe 😅 Keep doing more vlogs Marvin. Go lang!
Sinasabi nila yung tamang paraan. Hahahaha!!! 😂😂😂😂
correct ka dyan yung definition ng stress if your in other country specially domino effect, yung utak mo wants to shut down the moment it hit you in a foreign country, pero kung d2 pinas easy lang ☺😚🙂
Ayun ang silver lining, Marvin! That no matter how life seemingly kicks us down sometimes, there will always be people who will love you and appreciate the wonderful things that you do; that you have touched- and will keep on touching- other people’s lives in a unique, heartwarming, special way. We, your followers, are always here no matter what, especially at times when you feel the most alone. Ganbatte! Jiayou! Fighting! 💖
hi marvin, did you go directly to the immigration? in my experience, I had layover in Beijing, pero bago sa immigration kmuha ako ng entry pass may sticker sa passport, na yun ang need ipresent sa immigration para makapasok. i’m not sure if it’s same process in Guangzhou.
Most full service carriers like PAL, VN,SQ,JL sells their Return tickets as a bundle. Once you didn’t show up on your outbound flight, your inbound flight will automatically be cancelled unlike cebu pacific that sells their ticket as individual flights ( airfare flight 1 + airfare flight 2 = total airfare cost) v.s. full service carriers ( airfare flight 1 + airfare flight 2 is not equal to total airfare cost) when booking Roundtrip compared to Oneway booking
@ Example: Cathay Pacific Jan 22-29 Booked as Roundtrip 222 USD Booked separately (one way) Jan 22 MNL-HKG 131 USD Jan 29 HKG- MNL 190 USD Total 321 USD - you will be able to save if you book a RT ticket than booking it separately Cebu Pacific RT Hong Kong 9500 (booked as roundtrip) Booked as Oneway MNL-HKG 4500 php HKG-MNL 5000 php Total -9500 ( the price doesn’t change regardless you are booking a Roundtrip or Oneway)
Go Marvin! God really has a plan sa mga nangyayare sayo. Do not be discourage ❤️ Hayaan mo yung mga bashers mo na puro salita pero hindi naman talaga nakaranas ng situation mo 😊
It will take you around 45mins to 1hr from Guangzhou airport to Guangzhou proper via a private car. Sarado na mga shops sa gabi. Delikado pag nag taxi or Uber. Baka ma hold up k p. Not all chinese can understand english. Immigration in Guangzhou looks scary. Very strict. I’m a regular traveller of Guangzhou since 2010 😅 Kain k n lang ng TARO PIE sa Mcdo 😂

Though, this might be a common saying but, sometimes, plans take a detour, and things don't go as we've envisioned. It's during these unexpected turns that we truly discover our resilience and adaptability. Remember, it's not about the perfect plan, but how we respond to the imperfect ones. Charge it to experience nalang muna, Marvs.
Big hug to you Marvin. I was telling while watching you na 'inhale, exhale'. Mas maganda makapagkwentuhan about sa nangyari in person. But the best part now ay nalagpasan mo na din yan. Excited na for the Europe vlogs!
One reason kung bakit aliw ako sa vlogs mo is because you always see the good in the bad. Yes you complain and its fine because that make you human. Happy holidays to you and your fam. Cant wait for Europe 💜
The perks of being a PH passport holder. You were not discriminated, rule lang talaga nila.
Awww. Grabe pala pinagdaanan mong stress dito Marvin. But I’m glad to know you handled it well and you went home safe. New learnings na din for all of us this year etong experience mo. Stay positive, better days are coming and happy holidays xx 😊🎉❤
No matter how hard life gets, it's better to have a clear mind and optimistic mindset when dealing with different situations so thank you for sharing this candid experience with us and for always trying to find the positive side of things, Marvin!
@@kyudibles ung 72/144 hrs po yata sinasabi ninyo. 24 hrs transit visa is given to all nationalities, nasa wbsite ng visa for china . cn Kung need tlga ng visa, the IO could have just informed Marvin that he needed visa to cross the borders, pero ang sinabi is dahil walang hotel booking. I was allowed to exit nmn during my 13 hrs layover, gabi ako dumating. tsaka ako ngbook ang hotel sa arrival area nila sa labas para mgpahatid sa taxi.
For sure you will be happier sa next travel mo. All the best!
Hi @Marvin: I would suggest checking into more details before implying you were discriminated. It’s a bummer pero those statements could cost you something. Careful po tayo.
Yep. Correct. He may be refused entry to China in the future because of his comments.
If I were you in that situation, I’m just gonna buy the 20k ticket than the 10k ticket. But ako lang yon. Syempre si Marvin ka. Push lang ng push.
Same thoughts. If you value your time so much bakit ka pa mag book ng may 13-hr layover tapos gabi pa so wala ka namang gagawin nun outside. Book that expensive but direct flight and charge to experience na lang at least we learned.
For the final destination of your luggage, you can also check the baggage tag that will be attached at the back of your boarding pass. 😊 What happened to your round trip ticket that was cancelled? Hindi ba ni refund nang mytrip or they did not issue you a new ticket booking because you did nottm show on the 1st leg? If you book flights from a third party, you get a booking reference or ticket number which I think you can use to manage booking from the specific airline website and update your luggage if need be. So aliw with you Marvin. Like it when you are very raw in you vlogs. God bless you more and always be optimistic in life 😊
As much as I understand that you don’t want to bother other people, sometimes it’s okay naman na tumanggap ng help from others especially if they volunteered. You know yourself naman that you tried your best to deal with the situation. At the end of the day, we can only do so much. It actually makes us more human. Regardless, I respect your decision. God bless and hoping to see more of your travels. 😊
I hope you realize one day that all we have in this world is each other... we have to help each other out and be open to the help of others...if burden talaga ang isang bagay, it's one of two things: either hindi naman talaga sya burden, or it's a burden they're willing to take. we've all taken burdens for others. that doesn't make people less capable or bothersome as human beings... it's just life. tulungan tayo dito...
That’s how it is.. Ganyan din yung mga US Airlines .. (even JAL and Eva ata).. pag no show ka dun sa Papunta mo.. cancel na rin yung return flight.. Kaya be careful next time..
Very authenric ka showing not only the good but the sad reality and most important is how you deal with it.
Hi Marvin, if you read the visa free transit ng China policy, hindi include ang Philippines sa visa free transit. Even meron hotel booking.
we were able to enjoy the visa free transit in Shanghai just this October and November. basta less than 24 hours ang stay mo there. we didn't have a hotel booking. both from MNL-PVG-CDG then CDG-PVG-MNL nakalabas kami on both layovers nakapagDisneyland Shanghai pa kami.
Kasi pag galing yata Pilipinas pina payagan nila at meron sabi na China has adopted a 24 hour visa free transit policy for foreign nationals traveling to multiple countries. For example siguro pag ang flight ni Marvin is from Hanoi to Guangzhou to Incheon Seoul to Manila pwede siguro syang na bigyan. Kasi Guangshou to Manila is direct flight na yon. Dapat may 3rd country port na required nila.
Omg, ingat! Lesson learned yan, Marvin. Always reconfirm if magka cancel ka, or itutuloy mo ang return ticket.
No, big NO! You were not discriminated Marvin! Kontra ako sayo dito. We are not part of those granted 24hour free transit visa. Dami mo followers mamimis-inform. Stressed ka lang. iyong Shanghai mo you were under a group visa kay JAR di ba? Nagseself pity ka lang. Dinamay mo pa politics. Wag ganun uy. Sorry
@@thisiskevin1000and nakapag China na ako so alam ko gaano kahigpit sa visa. Yes kahit layover sa Guangzhou na may Chinese visa it is soo difficult to go out and stroll sa city. Marami ways makapag aral tayo at alamin ano nga ba requirements.
Wow natutuwa talaga Ako sayo kc napaka positive Ng personality mo ok lang Yan continue being you .sana ganyan din anak ko matarantahin kc sya .good luck always watching your vlog don't worry much.😂
BIG NO PO!!!!! may mga red flag sa ginawa mo dito and you posted pa on youtube, 1.iniwan basta basta sa lost and found ung bag then plan to go back pa, what if may mapagkamalan na may bomb or illegal items dun, tinuruan mo pa ng mali ung mga subscriber mo. 2. going spontaneous/unplanned trip to a country without a thorough research, you should double check lalo na pag may visa requirement ung pupuntahan na country before you go kung allowed, like this one hindi ka pinapasok, sinabi mo pa maraming beses na nadiscriminate ka. 3. ung baggage mo, may pang Japan ka saka pang Vietnam di mo magawang mag bayad ng extra luggage, sana nag proceed ka nalang dun sa isang option na flight, less hassle na hindi pa na sayang ung mga na iwan mong gamit. I think na go mo ung connecting flight to Guangzhou for the vlogmas lang talaga no, kaya nawala na sa mindset ung pag check ng maayos ung itinerary at sa requirements or policy ng mga visa. Please next time plan your trip thoroughly my god parang first time mag travel, dami pa naman nanunuod sayo tsk tsk
@@troevell I beg to differ, If an immigration officer, upon review, determines that the foreign national does not meet the necessary conditions for entry, or believes the person poses a risk to public safety, public health, national security, or moral well-being, the officer may deny entry. In this case -- he needs a visa to enter and the Philippines is not on the list of countries eligible pa for transit visa. Not having a visa is enough to deny entry in this case. Kung yun sumunod wala din visa, same result. Sa US at UK nga, may visa ka na sa passport, they can still refuse entry at the point of entry pah hindi happy as sagot mo.
Higpit pala sa kanila. Sa Hongkong Express naman pwede. Roundtrip ticket initial booked ko tapos ngbook ulit ako ng departure to make my trip longer.
It is their prerogative papasukin ka or ndi. Never say anythimg against them specially youre in their country
Muntik na kami magbook ng china eastern to hanoi kasi mura talaga kaya lang we had second thoughts dyan sa transit visa kasi depende pa din sa kanila kung iapprove nila or hindi. Even ibang lahi nadedeny din. Risk talaga. Best to secure a visa from Pinas.
Very wrong yung pag iwan ng luggage. "It was a calculated risk" oh nooo 😢😅 Edit: Sabi mo you don't want to bother or be a burden to other people and valuing time pero what of the people na makakakita ng luggage na naiwan mo? 😢 Hassle mag file ng report ha. It could potentially be mistaken for suspicious luggage or worse explosive/bomb 😅
Lesson Learned (the Hard Way): Missing the first leg of your flight ticket can result in the airline canceling the remaining segments of your journey. To avoid this, you should immediately contact the airline responsible for the remaining flights as soon as you realize you won’t be taking the first leg. Airlines are typically within their rights to cancel the remaining flights on your ticket if you fail to notify them promptly.
Universal yan. If NO SHOW ka sa first leg ng ticket mo, automatic na mapepeligro yung the rest of the journeys on that ticket. Ang nag-iiba is how strict the airline's policy is in letting you keep the booking. Some are very strict, cancelled na outright yung continuing journey. Some allow a grace period of 24-48 hrs wherein pwede mo sila sabihan na gagamitin mo pa yung return flight and you will leave an explanation as to why you missed the first leg.
It could also be because naghihigpit din tayo sa kanila for visas even tourists. kasi dahil sa mga incidents ng mga pogo.
Nag transit ako last month sa Kunming China for 23 hrs. May hotel booking ako peru super cheap lang naman like 700 pesos. Peru naka pasok ako sa China. Tinanong ako if galing ako Thailand and sabi ko galing Japan peru nag Thailand ako before Japan and then ni stamp ako ng temporary entry. Peru prior to that apat na officer nag assist sakin ang they are talking in Chinese like grabeh kaba ko.
Its not discrimination Marvin. Sadyang mahigpit lang dito sa China. Case to case basis ang pag grant ng visa. But its possible to get one maski Pilipino tayo.
I dont think you were discriminated against. That is China's call. Their nation their rules. If you make a fuss then you could easily be detained. Be glad you can leave. Do not be surprised that by criticizing the immigration officials on social media you are now black listed. Let it go. Every person I know from and in China are great people.
I felt the pain and disappointment 🥹 nakarelate ako sa feeling yung super good energy nirerelease mo pero yung bumungad sayo is kinda negative energy. Kaya napapaisip ka na lang na "ayaw ko na mag effort" Pero at the end of the day, sabi ko din sa sarili ko, what happened already happened and if i continue thinking negatively, then yung buong araw ko magiging negative. It's up to you na talaga if you want to keep thinking about it or let go and look at the brighter side ❤
Also, kuha ka po ng credit card next time. para makapag lounge. But kudos po sa inyo since tntry nyo po palagi maging positive sa lahat ng mishaps nangyari 😊
Kaya minsan much better to choose yung comfortability kesa sa mura. That’s China a first world country. At hindi ka na-discriminate. Rules are rules Marvin. Next time mag a lot ka pa ng extra time for research and preparation. Ok na sana vlogmas mo. Entertaining , dito lang sumablay. Yung reaction mo that time ay combination na ng exhaustion and frustration. So next time mag pahinga ka. Dere derecho yung flight mo this December.
Marvin, I love your vlogs but this was a sad watch. Please don’t use the word DISCRIMINATION because you were not. It’s China’s policy and sadly the Philippines is not part of the countries granted for that transit visa. I think here is where research must be done. To think you have been to Shanghai once and said good things about China, but for that one experience that wasn’t even their fault, you immediately called it discrimination and said it repeatedly. As a big ph vlogger with a big platform, we should choose the words we use wisely since it might change the views of the filipino people who actually want to visit China but would cancel just because of the misinformation you have relayed. Setting politics aside, China is beautiful and has so much to offer and shouldn’t be judged based on something this low.
for this, maybe this is something we can’t control, there could be policies or grounds for a transit visa only they know. like how in the ph, even ph travels are not given equal rights to travel because of our immigration system even if we have complete documents right? my issue is the use of the word Discrimination, just for that? what if it really depends on the officer, in your case or location, you were allowed. but what if in marvins case, was they really followed the policy na ph is really not part of the transit visa diba? same lang here in the ph, even we can say which ph airport has the friendliest immig officer. so for me in this situation, it was not grounds to use the word discrimination over and over again.
I don't think his use of the word "discrimination" is meant to incite negativity towards China. He simply felt discriminated because his passport is not strong enough is how I see it. Let's not invalidate that for him. He was simply sharing what he felt, albeit loosely using a word, which, when without context, can be derogatory. But hats off nga sa kanya because he handled it with positivity and class pa rin. So unless people have slow comprehension understanding, I don't think there's misinformation here.
I super agree with you. I’ve been watching some of Marvin’s vlogs especially his Japan trips. This is so painful to watch and listen to. It’s best not to create contents when you’re emotional. May mga nababanggit tayo na hindi magandang pakinggan especially a lot of people watch him. My only feedback and I hope (Marvin, if you’re reading this) that he takes this to heart seriously when I say that THOROUGH RESEARCH IS A MUST (which was already mentioned by OP). He said he did some research naman about the 24-hour transit visa for PH passport holders but failed to check that one should stay within the airport. I noticed that most of the time at least in the videos I watched, he would just go figure things out spontaneously.. which is a no-no if you’d want to minimize travel mishaps. Saka yung pag-iwan ng luggage intentionally at the airport. Ughhhhh. Huge no-no. Better if he just accepted his friend’s offer to take it for him rather than leave it somewhere at the airport premises. Nevertheless, I admire his positivity, how he’s still smiling throughout this entire ordeal. Marvin, please continue to keep making videos about your travel experiences because it really helps a lot of your viewers including me. And I hope you’re better armed with adequate research when going to places. Hope you feel better now. 😊
Sending you hugs ❤ also proud of you and my family and i love to watch ur vlogs ...it really uplifts our mood everytime. I hope i can travel with you someday 💕

Can't wait to your next vlog.
Ateng Marvin. Paulit ulit ka aa vlog mo at to think nasa airport ka pa that time.

@girbaud07 totoo! Masyadong matabil ang dila ni Marvin dito. Makitid utak paulit ulit siya dun. Insinuating siya ng hate towards Chinese IO, clickbait and for the content.
Hi! Depende talaga sya. I tried this before sa Beijing. Though yung akin is umaga dumating yung flight ko from Houston then gabi yung flight to the Philippines. Pila lang sa transit visa line then pakita nung boarding pass then ok na. Nakalabas naman ako ng Beijing and nakapag ikot ikot. Siguro baka dahil sa timing dapat hindi mag cross to next day? Kasi baka yung foreigner na pinalagpas is eligible for 72/144 hours transit visa.
Sir Marvin always take into consideration na Pag international flights at roundtrip kailangan mo lagi gamitin yung out manila segment sa ticket for you to able to use yung another segment Kahit hindi out manila Basta roundtrip need mo lagi gamitin yung 1st Segment to able to use the other segment Worked in travel agency so we have experiences like that po Kahit po domestic travel ganyan din Pag nag no show ka sa 1st leg ng flight you can never use the other leg Not unless one you have 2 separate tickets for each Way
Wow sorry What happened to you! I learned from you about these booking, so I’m sure you’ll be good ! You’re so intelligent and knows what to do! Stay calm and just enjoy!God bless you!
Grave Marvin. Nakaka stress talaga.
Hi Marvin, I don’t think it’s a bad thing if you deny other people’s requests from your travels. Ganyan din ako. I politely decline or tell them that I don’t have the time. It’s up to me na kung gusto ko magbigay ng pasalubong (which I do sa mga ka-close ko and family ko). Pero yung mga request o pasabay, I do not entertain talaga unless it’s a very important or lifesaving thing. Just the same, hindi ko rin ugali magpabili o humingi pasalubong.
Hi Marvin, we watched and followed all your daily vlogmas. Unfortunately, PH is not included in the 54 countries eligible for their visa-free policy. This might lead to misinformation to your viewers that indeed they have discriminated you but actually not. I can see that you have stated samples of other people’s experiences being granted with transit visa thru Shanghai. But, it’s still their (IO) discretion to allow you or not. Looking forward to your next vlog. Hope you could clear up this matter to eliminate confusion with the viewers. 😊
Ang mahal nung nakuha nilang new tickets. Thank you for sharing your story/experience, Marvs! Happy Holidays!❤❤❤❤❤
Okay lang sa akin magbilin. Especially kung closed sa iyo yng person. No pressure. Kung maisasabay sa pagsa shopping nila well and good. Kung hindi maisabay, okay lang which happened to me twice just because hindi sila nakapunta.
I was washing dishes habang nanunuod sa vlog mo. I'm surprised when you mentioned you would rather go to China than pay to get a direct flight back to the Philippines. I grew up idolizing their great culture and history but that changed drastically over the last few years. I would never go to China. Sorry you were rejected. I wish we could extend the same courtesy sa mga yan pag sila ang nasa bansa natin. :/ I wish our government would stand for us too and have our back as well.
Relate on the feeling na ayaw makareceive ng tulong kasi ayaw maka abala. Introvert, Breadwinner or first born struggles. Good luck sa atin on overcoming this ❤

Di siya burden kasi they insist, sila nagoffer and willing sila. Ang burden kasi for me, if ikaw ang mag request. Pero yeah personality mo na yan and no one can dictate whats might be good or bad. Thank you for sharing the experience of all the possibilities and mishap during travels.
I feel you Marvin sa pag reject ng help from others. I grew up solving my own problems kaya pag may problema ako, walang nakakaalam.
If you book round trip tickets, and did not show up, you still need to ask the airlines to allow you to still use the other ticket (return). Since it is a roundtrip ticket, the price is cheaper and it’s a package price. If you cancel one flight, the other ticket automatically gets cancelled too. What you should do is, forfeit the other ticket so they can allow you to avail the return ticket.
💯!!! I've been to that country once but never again kahit sponsored pa ulit. Kaya, I always tell my friends go to Taiwan instead if you want to experience the food & culture.
@ i wont miss a thing. I’ve been to US, EU, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. I don’t need to go to 🇨🇳.
It could be just the immigration officer or the particular airport. So Marvin airing his frustration is just how he feels… let’s not invalidate that. If you were in his shoes, I wonder how you would feel. But still, the positivity is all that matters. Maybe it wasn’t meant that you left the airport to save you from any other mishap to happen. Di ba? On to the next adventure!
Keep it up!
Thank you for confirming that it is possible to get a 24h transit visa to China 🫶
@@marvinsamaco No worries. Looking forward to cross paths with you during our future travels.
@@marvinsamaco Hindi ko din na-gets why you were denied entry. It is stated here from the China US embassy website na pwede all other Nationals for a:
"1. 24-hour visa-free transit policy
China has implemented a 24-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign nationals from all other countries around the world at all its accessible exit-entry ports.

I guess?
Exactly
Please don’t leave your luggage unattended. What if mapagkamalan syang explosive, etc. Be a good sample to your viewers baka maging trend pa yan na iwanan nalang sa airport pag di kaya ang extra fee and iclaim nalang pag nakabalik ng to that country.
You also talk on not wanting to waste the time of other person - pero how about yung tao na makakakuha ng luggage mo, pag surrender nya sa lost and found, pag hanap ng contact mo, pagemail sayo ng staff, etc. - worst, kung may disruption pa sa airport due to unknown luggage
I normally love your video pero parang off lang yung technique sa extra luggage. But more power parin and charge to experience nalang.

hi marvin, did you go directly to the immigration? in my experience, I had layover in Beijing, pero bago sa immigration kmuha ako ng entry pass may sticker sa passport, na yun ang need ipresent sa immigration para makapasok. i’m not sure if it’s same process in Guangzhou.
Most full service carriers like PAL, VN,SQ,JL sells their Return tickets as a bundle. Once you didn’t show up on your outbound flight, your inbound flight will automatically be cancelled unlike cebu pacific that sells their ticket as individual flights ( airfare flight 1 + airfare flight 2 = total airfare cost) v.s. full service carriers ( airfare flight 1 + airfare flight 2 is not equal to total airfare cost) when booking Roundtrip compared to Oneway booking
di ko po nagets 😢😢😢

Example: Cathay Pacific
Jan 22-29 Booked as Roundtrip 222 USD
Booked separately (one way)
Jan 22 MNL-HKG 131 USD
Jan 29 HKG- MNL 190 USD
Total 321 USD
- you will be able to save if you book a RT ticket than booking it separately
Cebu Pacific
RT Hong Kong 9500 (booked as roundtrip)
Booked as Oneway MNL-HKG 4500 php
HKG-MNL 5000 php

Though, this might be a common saying but, sometimes, plans take a detour, and things don't go as we've envisioned. Charge it to experience nalang muna, Marvs.
Big hug to you Marvin. I was telling while watching you na 'inhale, exhale'. The perks of being a PH passport holder. You were not discriminated, rule lang talaga nila.

God bless and hoping to see more of your travels. 😊
I appreciate it. This is something I have to work on 🙂
I hope you realize one day that all we have in this world is each other... we have to help each other out and be open to the help of others...if burden talaga ang isang bagay, it's one of two things: either hindi naman talaga sya burden, or it's a burden they're willing to take. we've all taken burdens for others. that doesn't make people less capable or bothersome as human beings... it's just life. tulungan tayo dito...

Hi Marvin, if you read the visa free transit ng China policy, hindi include ang Philippines sa visa free transit. Even meron hotel booking. Kasi Europe pass holder
we were able to enjoy the visa free transit in Shanghai just this October and November. basta less than 24 hours ang stay mo there. we didn't have a hotel booking. both from MNL-PVG-CDG then CDG-PVG-MNL nakalabas kami on both layovers nakapagDisneyland Shanghai pa kami.
@@mticuala no. Madami nakakalabas din talaga. On our flight more than 10 pinoys kami that were able to go outside.
Kasi pag galing yata Pilipinas pina payagan nila at meron sabi na China has adopted a 24 hour visa free transit policy for foreign nationals traveling to multiple countries. For example siguro pag ang flight ni Marvin is from Hanoi to Guangzhou to Incheon Seoul to Manila pwede siguro syang na bigyan. Kasi Guangshou to Manila is direct flight na yon.

I think you should consider na bumili ng vacuum resealable storage for your maleta ❤️

Peru prior to that apat na officer nag assist sakin ang they are talking in Chinese like grabeh kaba ko.

i just read na yubg transit visa is just a bonus given to passengers but its not guaranteed you would get one.
This is a STPID COMMENTARY from you. There is NO VALID reason to deny his entry.
Tangna. What rules are you talking about? Jckas!
I felt the pain and disappointment 🥹 nakarelate ako sa feeling yung super good energy nirerelease mo pero yung bumungad sayo is kinda negative energy.
Pero at the end of the day, sabi ko din sa sarili ko, what happened already happened and if i continue thinking negatively, then yung buong araw ko magiging negative. It's up to you na talaga if you want to keep thinking about it or let go and look at the brighter side ❤
Super agreeeee

Truth.
Setting politics aside, China is beautiful and has so much to offer and shouldn’t be judged based on something this low.
hmmm.. but why was I given transit visa during my 12 hr layover (China Southern Airlines)? What happened there? A glitch?
for this, maybe this is something we can’t control, there could be policies or grounds for a transit visa only they know. like how in the ph, even ph travels are not given equal rights to travel because of our immigration system even if we have complete documents right? my issue is the use of the word Discrimination, just for that? what if it really depends on the officer, in your case or location, you were allowed. but what if in marvins case, was they really followed the policy na ph is really not part of the transit visa diba? same lang here in the ph, even we can say which ph airport has the friendliest immig officer. so for me in this situation, it was not grounds to use the word discrimination over and over again.
Thank you hahaha
Thank you so much!! Enjoyyy
Gets kita dyan. Ngaun dahil nabasa na natin mga comments, good and bad ikaw n mismo nakakaalam mga do's and don'ts next time. No need to change yourself para ipleased ang mga tao. Can't wait to your next vlog.
Yey. Thank you.
We are same! ayoko din maka “hassle” sa ibang tao lalo na pag personal issues. Im dealing it alone❤
Taray oh❤ true
Ateng Marvin. Paulit ulit ka aa vlog mo at to think nasa airport ka pa that time.
@@EdnaFavila di naman natin iniinvalidate feelings ni Marvin but he should learn when to rant and discern things. Confusing kasi yan sa mga viewers and be misinformed. Hirap sa mga ibang fans niya dito, kahit mali just to pacify marvin e they condone it. Para saan pa ang video na to if not to educate the future travelers di ba?
@girbaud07 totoo! Masyadong matabil ang dila ni Marvin dito. Makitid utak paulit ulit siya dun. Insinuating siya ng hate towards Chinese IO, clickbait and for the content.
Grabe naman ang pagsubok. Di bale, may mas magang lugar ka pa na mapupuntahan 😊♥️
Hi! Depende talaga sya. I tried this before sa Beijing. Though yung akin is umaga dumating yung flight ko from Houston then gabi yung flight to the Philippines. Pila lang sa transit visa line then pakita nung boarding pass then ok na. Nakalabas naman ako ng Beijing and nakapag ikot ikot.
Siguro baka dahil sa timing dapat hindi mag cross to next day? Kasi baka yung foreigner na pinalagpas is eligible for 72/144 hours transit visa.
Yes possible reason nga din yung timing
Sir Marvin always take into consideration na Pag international flights at roundtrip kailangan mo lagi gamitin yung out manila segment sa ticket for you to able to use yung another segment
Kahit hindi out manila Basta roundtrip need mo lagi gamitin yung 1st
Segment to able to use the other segment
Worked in travel agency so we have experiences like that po
Kahit po domestic travel ganyan din Pag nag no show ka sa 1st leg ng flight you can never use the other leg
Not unless one you have 2 separate tickets for each
Way
Ship it via cargo.
Wow sorry What happened to you! I learned from you about these booking, so I’m sure you’ll be good ! You’re so intelligent and knows what to do! Stay calm and just enjoy!God bless you!
Same here Sir Marvin. Ayaw kung mangdisturbo sa ibang tao❤
Grave Marvin. Nakaka stress talaga.
Haahhahah kalma baby kalma
Awwww huhu 🤗🤗🤗
Good luck sa atin on overcoming this ❤
My people 😅🤗🤗🤗
49:41 ang pogi mo dito bro. Hahaha. Hahaha!
Virtual hug Marvin! Thank you for always sharing your experiences in traveling ! Please keep safe always
Happy 91k 🎉 road to 100k haha
Haha thanks! I appreciate the support! 😊
God has reasons talaga lagi thanksss
Di siya burden kasi they insist, sila nagoffer and willing sila. Ang burden kasi for me, if ikaw ang mag request. Pero yeah personality mo na yan and no one can dictate whats might be good or bad. Thank you for sharing the experience of all the possibilities and mishap during travels.
Count your blessings, believe that after the storm, there will be sunlight, trust in the Lord🙏
grabe pala yung pinagdaanan mo that day. 😢 kapag may ganyan kami sa travel, what we tell ourselves is “charge it to experience“.
Yaaasss charge to experience
I feel you Marvin sa pag reject ng help from others. I grew up solving my own problems kaya pag may problema ako, walang nakakaalam.
Super relate hahaha
Welcome back home lodz enjoy w/ ur family🫰🙏 God bless u🙏
Hello Marvin🤗. Me and my my daughter in law always make it a point to watch your vlog. Ito n Yung pinaka bonding moment namin❤️❤️❤️
Aww so sweet! ❤️
Hi Marvin! Anong ginawa mo sa 13hrs layover? 😅
It’s ok Marvs. Mishaps happen sa mga travel. We learn from your experiences.
Geo politics yan. Ok lang yan. I never dreamed of going to 🇨🇳 . Kaya they can keep their country to their selves.
💯!!! I've been to that country once but never again kahit sponsored pa ulit. Kaya, I always tell my friends go to Taiwan instead if you want to experience the food & culture.
Poor you. You dont know what youre missing.
@ i wont miss a thing. I’ve been to US, EU, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. I don’t need to go to 🇨🇳.
Korek, China at HK ang never ko puntahan sa life ko, EUROPE ang gusto ko.
Noted.
Thanks for sharing, Marvin.
I FEEL U!
I admire your positivity ❤
