Lee lost to Gaara, and he only got close to winning since he had the gates and immense speed. Neji is strong, and has a great moveset, but because of the fact he doesn’t have the immense speed and really advanced Taijutsu ability he would probably fall short

If you can just extract the Tailed Beasts whenever, then why need the Gedo Statue?
Because gedo statue itself is a seal for the tail beast just pulling them out of their host wont capture them you have to seal them in something else or else they will just be running free
Plus the Gedo Statue is needed to recreate the 10 tails
