I have a question. Since these are made to fit demilitarized rifles this should theoretically fit on my functional one right? Got a project I'm wanting to restock but I don't want to drop the money on an original stock or repro.
hi Katz. I'm very new to this rifle drill world and have some questions. I'm in the Civil Air Patrol and my squadrons trying to make a new honor guard team. They've lent me an old rifle but they told me that if i'm serious about being on the team that i should get the proper rifle, and these 1903's seem to be the rifle of choice of many different branches and i want to get one myself. I've tried to familiarized myself with getting a rifle in places such as Glendale, daisy, NGA, etc. But where would buying best be? Like should i buy a complete build from Glendale or should i get a stock and build it? Another question is if the rifle stock/handguard and sling color mean anything? I've seen people with different colored rifles like red, blue, white, yellow, etc. and i don't know if it means anything. I've seen many videos on these drillers including yours. You've all been a great inspiration for me but you were the one that really gave me motivation to practice with the rifle they lent me. I don't know if i'll ever participate in competitions but i would love to learn just for fun. So thank you, i hope to get as good as you someday.
i know i’m not katz but i can help a bit with your questions. As far as buying best daisys stocks feel like a brick and also break a lot more frequently then nga’s. It really depends on what you’re looking for, my recommendation is if you’re trying to get into this then i would get a nga and a glendale kit i wish that was my first rifle. The colors on the rifle/sling are your preference they don’t mean anything it’s just what you want your rifle to look like, the only way your sling color means something is if you’re on drill dojo and get those certified colored slings. Hope this helps!

Where do you get your bayonet? Also, would it be possible to get a non-metal one that weighs the same to practice with?
