Nice one Jimmy, beautiful woodland to spend the night in, nice looking curry to. For me, Wildcamping is sleeping outside, weathers it's up a hill or in the woods. Personally I'm not a fan of tabbing up hills for fun, (the Army killed that for me lol) I love being in the woods, I'm always at peace in the woods. Thanks for sharing mate, take care 👍

My definition of Wild Camping: Camping anywhere in the wild in a non permission environment in a tent, bivvy, sleeping bag, whatever shelter and eating what you want, dehydrated, home cooked, a worm, having a fire, or a firebox or a gas cooker.... whatever.... as long as it's in the wild or a forest, or a hill or on a mountain it doesn't matter....it's still wild camping 👍👍👍

another great video, i walk up that way quite regularly. but once i`m at Redpath cottage i follow the St Oswalds way through the trees and it brings you out on a clearing, overlooking Fallowlees burn, it looks a good place to camp. Those dogs are a bloody nightmare they seem to bark continuously. I sat earlier this year and had my bait next to those canoes at Fallowlees Lough,saw plenty of fish rising. looking forward to part 2

Hi, great video, was up there October 26 wild camping, looked at the area where you camped, nice location, we thought it was far enough away from the farm to have a fire, decided on another location in the end. Wild camping is sitting in the great outdoors preferably with a friend talking rubbish and enjoying yourself, that's what life is all about. enjoy.

Absolutely awesome video buddy lived it and what a spot. I bet the walk was hard going. Looked nice and chilled looking forward to watching part 2 tonight. That sleeping bag looks great what's it called would be ideal for when I'm out in the bivvy. I would say wild camping is camping that isn't on a designated campsite. Up on the hills & mountains, on a beach by a river or in a woodland. The only real difference to me is those of us that bushcraft gain more skills and knowledge. Thanks for sharing mare 👍👍👍

Yeah i find it amusing when you hear the quotes about light weight camping. Think they use a bin liner a hand warmer 2 Jacob crackers and a cocktail sausage.

Nice one Jimmy I think my idea of wild camping is camping with Rooney, Christ you need danger money 💣💥🔥🚑😂😂😂. I would say wild camping is not using a camp site ( toilets, shops, mains water , ect ) so Wood's Beach Hill's or middle of a field would count for me. Nice video Jimmy, it's always good to try something different! I've been told in the past in a particular group that I'm not a wild camper, because I camp in the woods and practice bushcraft, sad really isn't it. I don't really rough it, but I have reduced the amount of kit required over the years, but it does help naturally being a warm person. Hi Jimmy, I like watching all video's to do with Harwood. Redpath cottage is offered for let, a 20 year period I believe, but lacks basic functions like heating and plumbing. So you do the improvement work then 20 years later they take it back. Who would want to pay the money and take on that project?.. I like what you are doing with the camp and exploring different area's. I love the place and doing a solo camp tomorrow, just a small way in roughly where Andy and I were last time. The way I look at it, I'm doing a paranormal investigation and you will get strange goings on anywhere in that place, whether 1km on or 15km in. That audio file with the voice saying Christopher was spookey, I've cleaned it up and can hear another Christopher sound, 4 seconds earlier, but very faint. I'm in no doubt Harwood is a special place. In my next video I will link to the RAW audio files so anyone can download and scrutinize for themselves what I've recorded and I'm gonna give you a shout out because I do like your content mate, ATB, Damian.

Damien you should head along The St Oswalds Way from Redpath cottage, there is a weird feel about the forest in that area its called Jocky`s Knowe on OS maps.

Nice one Lads. My definition of Wildcamping is somewhere you dont pay to camp, you have no Electric Hookups or Toilet and shower facilities. i still believe you can have good gear and Rat packs to wild camp. Like you said Jimmy, why take 8 kilos to suffer all weekend if you can manage 20 Kilos and be comfortable. i would love to take my old G10/98 Wild camping with a 10 man rat pack.

Enjoyable video mate , good to camp in tents for a change ,are you still going to continue with the shelter build or leave it for the time being and hammock camp for a while and search for a better location , my definition of wild camping is the solitude it brings just been at one with nature I used to wild camp every weekend and holidays in my younger days just couldn't wait to get out there I've spent 32 years in the outdoors pure enjoyment now I'm retired I just spend my time in woodland can't beat the outdoors and as the saying goes there's no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing get out there and have fun ♠️

I have the trekology set and its bril. Watch out they are not puncture resistant as I ended with 2 holes in the mattress. Take a repair kit or some tape just in case.
