Good advice! Would only add something: if it’s not good for you and you ask God if He thinks it’s not good, than he helps you to figure it out or it suddenly just stops. So that’s what usually happens to me as I’m bad at choosing. So I made this deal with Him that he bewares me of the wrong ones. And He does a very good job doing it and I‘m thankful for it!
Thank you, the way you explained this topic made me picture myself in a garden with God asking me to choose which fruit trees I want to plant, He offers me all good seeds that can bear good fruits it just depends which fruit do I like and if I want to learn and apply His method to grow the tree or not. Garden = My journey in life Fruit seeds = Options and choices in life He will guide indeed and bless the journey for He is God. God bless you all brothers and sisters ^^
Very good teaching! When I was a senior in high school (1981!) I prayed and prayed about a career decision, and I got a pretty distinct answer: "I want you to go ahead and decide".. I puzzled and puzzled if that really could have been the Lord's voice, because I'd never heard that He might say something like that..
You need to binge watch youtube love stories. You will find out that those who receive the knowing who their future spouse is all began by first asking His help in finding one. And by doing so they are asking for an arranged marriage from the Father. A common theme among the stories is that knowledge of who there future spouse is can be given well before meeting that person. This of course leads to some very interesting love stories like for instance a woman continuously rejecting a man persuing and then has a complete change of heart and marries him.
Not only will it be fine, it is more than that. A short hand definition of righteous are those who follow the will of God in their lives, example, Abraham, St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary. The challenges that come with following God's will, are a part of what God either permits or desires that you experience. God knows that with His grace, you'll survive, thrive and come out the other side to become what he intended you to be.
It’s true! There is always our free will but the more we allow God to guide our path, the more He provides what He would like for us. I prayed about my career, my house, my relationships and God has shown me what He wants in those then I have said yes. I don’t see why God won’t do that with a spouse. Sometimes God says, “No” and we don’t listen. God has given me graces I didn’t ask for. He can definitely provide a spouse because it’s natural. Every marriage is a service to the church so why wouldn’t He provide that?

Father Timothy Gallagher has a series on discernment which would be very helpful. One thing you can do is, spend time in silent adoration and there in the presence of Jesus, ask God what He desires in your life, and if you've learnt how to distinguish between your voice, the voice of God and the voice of the evil ones, you may hear what your next step is supposed to be. Perhaps, there are other things you need to be doing before you find your spouse. There are loads of stories of people who found their spouse in the course of following a calling from God in some ministry.
That also is a choice..no is a choice. I did not find the right spouse until I told God I would not have anything to do with women until He chose for me. Until I submitted to Him. He must lead me.
Always looking forward to your videos. Thanks so much for this, especially now when I am asking the Lord to take away the fear of marriage from me. I pray for the grace to have a good confession (hopefully with a Mercy priest) , and have and active prayer life in which I listen more to Him. Very timely video for me. Thanks so much❤
What do you mean by waiting? Should I go out and try to find a woman that I have not been doing good at lately or will he put her in my path one day? I’m so confused of how to find a woman right now. I just feel like I’m not doing it right I don’t know

Whenever I'm told that it's up to me to choose and do it under God's commandments and guidelines from scripture, all I can think is: I'm doomed. I'm so, so doomed. In my case, it's been impossible for me to not only find a high-caliber woman that I can both feel attracted to and admire, but also being worthy of said woman, having the stuff that she wants her man to have. So I'm pretty much counting on God to perform a literal miracle to meet this hypothetical woman, because I refuse to choose someone that makes me say "meh, she's fine, she's cute and nice, doesn't do much but hey, at least she said yes". And God forbid she thinks that about me, too, that would be pathetic. Where I come from, we have a term for this: "un peor-es-nada" (a worse-is-nothing). God please don't let me be that.

Brother I am sorry that you are hurt, and those are not merely empty words. I assist with leading a men's group, and we have two brothers who have recently experienced the same, and I am speaking with them regularly to help them through the anguish. How recently did this happen and do you have any children from the relationship?
I know we have free will but... isn't the whole point of it to freely choose to obey Him??? 🤔 Seriously, I've seen multiple times that the angels and saints who are in Heaven technically don't have free will anymore... so I guess we should try to know His Will so we can do as He wishes? Isn't so? However it seems to me that He only exposes His Will in very rare special occasions, and not for everyone though...
God is not going to announce His plan to you when you're not ready to listen and obey. For example, God saw Saul persecuting the Christians, but waited at least 3 years after the crucifixion before He reveals Himself to Saul on the road to Damascus. Why? Amongst many reasons, one reason is that God knew that Saul would repent at that moment as he had a history of doing evil things. God knew that Paul needed a mighty exposition of Himself because Paul was so stubborn, but God also knows when it is the right moment. I've heard stories of people who've had strong conversion experiences but didn't act on them sufficiently and their faith diminished. The idea that God doesn't reveal Himself strongly or that people don't freely reject Him is obviously false when you talk to enough people and learn about their experiences. Arguing that the angels and saints don't have free will is like arguing that God has no free will. None of the above commit evil, because it is against their perfect (God) and perfected (angels, saints) nature. Having a perfect or perfected nature is not a lack of free will.
We are called to pray, discern, and do God’s will. We have free will to choose God’s path for us or not. He also gives us freedom to make choices and let’s us know when it’s not good for us.
Minus the Catholicism, it's ok advice. We cannot win against sin by ourselves. When we do fall, we have an advocate with the father, repent and ask forgiveness. And learn your triggers that cause you to fall.
@@albertodove4125 “Prayer” doesn’t mean “worship”. It never has, and never will. “Pray” literally means “to make a request”. Prayer to the saints simply means to make a request of the saints. The prayers of the righteous hold more weight in God’s eyes, see James 5, 1 Peter 3, Proverbs 15, Psalm 34:15, and Job 42. The saints in heaven are perfectly righteous, therefore, it is advantageous to ask for their intercessory prayer (just as you’d ask a friend or family member to pray for you, except the saints in heaven are undeniably more righteous since they are already in heaven). If you’ve ever heard the expression “pray tell”, that comes from the old English “pray”, which as I mentioned means to make a request. Catholics do not “worship” Mary. Worship means “to make sacrifice”. In fact, the Catholic Church has specifically deemed the Collyridians as heretical because of their worship of Mary, which the Catholic Church correctly identified as idolatry. Respectfully, you clearly haven’t done much charitable research into the topic of “Mary Worship”, as this topic has been addressed literally thousands of times in the past 500 years. I would invite you to do some charitable research into what the Catholic (which literally means universal) church actually believes before bearing false witness against your neighbor (which you did by spreading false information about what Catholics believe). I’ll be praying for you, and may God bless you!
