I remember seeing this on my VHS copy of Jetsons The Movie. I can't believe that this ad is almost 30 years old!

I remember this on Jetsons: The Movie, Back to the Future Part 3, The Wizard, Shocker, and Sea of Love.
It makes me want to cry after looking at Universal Studios like that. 2005 was the very last great year of its enduring movie legacy that ran for 93 years, and this wash taken from one of its golden periods in its history. Universal hasn't been that great and it is a sad shell of its former self ever since Paul W.S. Anderson destroyed its excellence in 2008 with his ugly Death Race remake. :(

Me too. I remember my dad getting it. He got it through Columbia Video services or something. It was Mail in purchase/subscription service company.
It was I think it was one of the first 20 vhs family owned. Whole family gathered to make air popped popcorn (didn't have microwave until 1997) and watch. I remember seeing this ad and thinking as a 5 year old "Holy shit, this is epic".
I remember this and the Jetsons Movie (I kinda liked the music rather than the movie itself, mind you) very well. Ever since I saw this, I've been wanting to check out Universal Studios theme parks in Hollywood and Orlando and when I did, I enjoyed what both parks had to offer. Thanks a bunch for uploading this, Axle Van Wormer.
When did you go to both Universal parks?
VintageVHSTreasures I went to the Hollywood studio twice in late '93 and early '03 respectively. And the Orlando one I went to in early '05 as a high school graduation gift from my family.
Cool. I haven't been to any of the Universal parks. The closest I've gotten to it is that god awful Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure video game for the GameCube. That game was horrible.

I remember seeing this at the beginning of Back to the future on VHS, and I feel fortunate that I was able to visit Universal Orlando several times in its prime. I relocated to Clearwater Florida from Michigan in 2008 and Universal has never been the same. I have so many great memories though.
I think this promo was on the head of the Psycho IV vhs, which was the first (and, sadly, one of the few) movies shot at Universal Studios Florida. So sad that production never really got a foothold there, and the park is a ghost of what it was.

My dad took my brother and me on a cross country trip in July 1992. We went to Universal Hollywood. I was 8 and absolutely mesmerized by everything. I loved the E.T. ride best. That was the best vacation ever!!

No, it's Conan The Barbarian
I loved this as a kid. Always wanted to know what "L" (Battlestar Galactica, 1978) and "S" (Conan the Barbarian live stage show) were. Thanks to the commenters here for informing me. Pity the Conan one isn't actually a movie because the imagery really struck me.

let me also add how it's seen in The Wizard u know little game video commercial film where two kids venture out 2 California and one of them wins a big championship worth $50,000 while also trying 2 repair a family relationship as well.
Part of the sequence for "L" I recognize the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica. The weird green creature I am not sure. I want to say Black Lagoon.
As for "S" I have also wondered for a long time. Masters of the Universe?
I'm pretty sure the green creature is also from Battlestar, in fact the pilot/movie. S does look like Masters, but I doubt it because that was a Cannon. Universal released Conan The Barbarian, which has Cobras, so that's my guess.

I wish rides such as Kongfrontation, Jaws, and Back to the Future were still operating nowadays, because it's those kind of theme park attractions that today's generations should be enjoying when they and their families go to the Universal Orlando Resort.
They have absolutely no idea what they're missing on.
Had this on my VHS copy of The Wizard. Such a shame Universal Studios was kind of a crappy park compared to Disney or Busch Gardens at the time.

The first S is from Alfred Hitchcock Presents tv show. The T is from a live show at Universal called the Animal Actors Stage. And I is from a tv show called Murder She Wrote that starred Angela Lansbury. I hope that helps you out. 😀
