It was very touching seeing your reaction, It is wonderful that Bill Medley has been keeping the Righteous Brithers’ music alive, and that he has Bucky Heard to help him. I last saw their show two months ago. They are now winding down this part if their careers. Bill is 84 now. He has a new CD coming out in February, Straight From the Heart, He has released some of the songs on the internet, and they are beautiful. He indeed has aged gracefully, and sounds just wonderful . Bucky has a new CD also, and they will continue the Righteous Brothers Farewell tour for a little while longer. I met both of them once, and they are both kind, genuine people. I am seeing their show again this Spring, Yes, we have lost Bobby, but the music continues and will live forever. Be comforted.
If you want to see Bobby singing older, watch their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performance from 2003. Bobby's voice has changed (some from his heart condition and from the attack on him in 88 , it broke his pallette, teeth , bones in his face and some esophagus damage. ) but he still good. It is 8 months before he passed. I can't watch Bucky sing Bobby's parts. It doesn't feel right. It makes me cry also. If you want just watch something to make you smile, watch them hosting the Midnight Special. The sing some great music. Bobby does a solo of "He Aint Heavy He's My Brother" that is phenomenal.
