I have an XC…read the manual. Staccato tells you to run it wet….it will fail if you run it dry for extended periods of time. I keep a small needle of lube in the case and every 200 rounds it gets a little lube. Runs flawlessly.
XC is amazing. Running a Radian Ramjet Afterburner on my Glock and that thing takes the Glock to another level. Not staccato level but very nice.

The XC will run into problems when you're running it hard with the standard factory spring it comes with, I suggest you should run the gun really hard with a 9 or 10 lbs spring. The Gun will shoot a bit smoother with the 9 lbs spring!
More power to you and everyone that can afford to shoot Staccatos because they are NICE. They’re way too rich for my LEO salary so I’ll stick with my trusted GLOCKs.

Cool video man but two things. You will NEED to oil it to get it to run reliably when dirty and stop dropping the slide on an empty chamber. Dropping the slide on an empty chamber over and over and over again will damage your sear nose/hammer relationship and can cause hammer follow and other trigger related issues.

Actually this is false and you can contact staccato. They said it is safe to do on their pistols, from their master tech I spoke with over the phone. I’m sure it’s different for other 1911 pistols but not staccato’s
@@aaronplacido1332 you are indeed correct. Lot of misinformation being spread. Contacted Staccato to double check a few weeks after I bought my XC. It’s safe to dry fire, and dropping on an empty chamber.
Great tools Had the Staccato P DPO alway on target. Now I own the Springfield Prodigy in 4.25 and it shoot amazing
Great video, in regards to the safety as a 1911 shooter i disengage the safety as I am pulling from the holster so when I am up and pushing I already have my proper grip and I have correct alignment with my sights. When are you doing a course at homestead training center? Thank you!

Do you ever run red dots on your pistols? I purchased the Staccato P via the Hero’s Program (LE) and it’s nice! I ended up not getting the DUO (optic ready) version and now I kind of like red dots.
Look up DSG Gunworks. He can cut the slide for the DOU system Staccato cuts at the factory. His work is impeccable. Be safe.

Bought one. Shot it for the first time last week and this gun is like a walking cheat code. No literally. I mag dumped this gun and because it shot so smooth, when I tell you I was able to see the red dot the entire time through mag dumping, I literally mean it and that was at 25-30 yards distance. This gun Will make a terrible shooter into a decent shooter and a good shooter into a monster.
Anyone know what holster he’s using?

Is it going to fail if not lubed? Will it fire in all environments. It's just a competition gun overall! Not for SHTF scenarios. Beautiful 2011 though
The P model is more of their duty pistol. Yea they don’t run as long without being lubed, don’t have to do a full cleaning every 500 rounds though. If people are running their Glocks bone dry and full of lint, then they are asking for a failure there as well.
My friend ran hers til 7500 rounds with no cleaning and minimal lube. It never failed, bit was sluggish. She also didn’t clean at all.
Greybeard actual went 9600 rounds doing the same thing, until he finally cleaned it. Started having issues at 9600 rounds.
Me personally, I clean and lubricate my guns after every session, glocks, 2011s, Ars, etc.
I purchased mine a few months ago, think I’m around 2K rounds currently and the only issues Ive had were ammo related, and then an over grip issue. No fail related to a harsher environment, and it still hasn’t been cleaned. Going forward, I have a feeling it will be a workhorse.
Can you let us know what ammo you are using.
Got a law enforcement friend who shoots these, gonna have to see what its all about, till then its Glock for me.... And that price tag.... 🤕

why do you have to use the safety? why not just run it from the holster without the safety engaged?
