    Nice young man. Unfortunately like many guys of his generation, he thinks about the bling and fast cars at the end of the rainbow. He wants to be flashy and superficially successful at a very young age. Becoming an entrepreneur or going into finance (let’s say) is not a fool-proof way to the good life. Both of these types of careers require a soul crushing amount of dedication and effort.
    He seems like a nice guy but It’s a shame he’s not great at public speaking or even conversing with strangers. The menu should be on a stand and well-featured. He forgot to tell the guests that the chefs are native to their respective countries. That restaurant should put the inn on the map whether or not guests actually stay in those sad rooms.

    While I really respect this dude's ambition, he hasn't got a single solitary clue. He thinks he's the hottest thing since buttered toast, and he just doesn't listen to someone who is a lot smarter and more knowledgeable. There's a saying I love that applies. "If you think you're the smartest one in the room, you're either an idiot or you're in the wrong room."

      He is no longer associated with the Hotel, whatever that means. It is owned by the "The Grosvenor Hotel, Rugby Ltd," and was incorporated on 23 December 2022. The current owner is listed as a Mr Mohammed Faroukh, and the reviews are truly dreadful. A.I is unable to find any info on Bal, so I think it is safe to assume he did not become a millionaire. Let's hope he is back in a corner shop, selling red wine to people at Christmas "When we didn't have the one they wanted, we sold them another one" Bless! It was Christmas, sweetheart, you could have sold them antifreeze, if you had bottled it. If they are in a corner shop On Christmas buying wine, they ain't bothered about Vintage! No sales technique required.

    He didn’t even do the first thing she asked. Why waste her time if he doesn’t want to use her advice? It’s not about his ability to sell, it’s about him seeing it as being beneath him. He said initially he wants flash cars and living the big shot life but unless you are born into money, you need to vigorously go out and work for it, not hide in an office and read your newspaper. It won’t come to you. You have to pursue it.

      Thai fish cakes (ทอดมันปลา) are definitely 'a thing' in Thailand. Not sure where you're eating but you will see them if you cast your net a bit wider.

    • @John-G
      @John-G 17 днів тому

      @legshakermaker1968 I'm eating in Loei, in Issan.
      I can see plenty of
      พิซซ่า here too, but that doesn't make พิซซ่า any more Thai than writing tod mun pla in Thai script makes fried fish cakes Thai or tod mun (fried potato cakes) Thai.
      For those who don't read Thai, พิซซ่า is pizza, available in every 7-11, so in every PTT petrol station.
      That doesn't make it Thai, or make KFC "Thai".
      Fish cakes are a Chinese or Korean dish, not remotely 'Thai'. The Thai version is fish balls, boiled not fried - not remotely similar, cooked in a totally different way.
      Enjoy your Thai Pizza Hut, Thai KFC, Thai donuts, and Thai Coke.
