Thank you for sharing this information. Water storage is one area of prepping that is harder for us to keep up with. I’m glad to see the prepping in Sweden and my hope is that my family member there will be wise and do some prepping. All of my mother’s side of the family are there in Sweden except for one of her cousins who also lives here in the United States.
Also, can you tell me where you found the Mylar type spouted bags with the handles on them that you store water in? Thank you!!

Thank you for watching! We are really happy to see people from around the world visiting us and liking our down to earth messaging about prepping :) The Mylar bags for water is sold by a company in Sweden and do not believe that they ship to the US unfortunately. But I can see that there are some vendors on Amazon.com that sell these. Example:
      www.amazon.com/NATX-Aluminum-Packaging-Portable-Smoothie/dp/B098Q85HZX/ref=sr_1_12?crid=38SLWVLR5P90L&keywords=mylar%2Bwater%2Bbag&qid=1660204887&sprefix=mylar%2Bwater%2Bbag%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-12&th=1
Take care and keep visiting us! :)

If you not have the wine glas and the fork mark, it should be a stamp on the container. PET, PP, HDPP is the most normal for food/water approved.
Martin, how much water do you ruffly store? I know its individually but so we have some thing to compare with.
    Thanks a lot!!

Thank you for the added info, friend. This is what makes our community great - sharing knowledge 😊
I store around 200 liters which is on the low side but will be enough for family and pets for about 2 weeks 😊👍

Stay way from Stockholm tapwater tho. I tasted it last time that I was in Stockholm at a fancy resturant and then later at the hotel.
It tasted like sewage, and no Stockholmian thought that it tasted odd so it's obviously a bad water. I'd store Ramlösa if I lived in Stockholm.
It stores basicly for forever. I wouldn't drink 6 month old stale water tho, ofc Stockholm water is already stale from the tap so it's not much difference I suppose.

You must have had bad luck when visiting. I am from the southern part of Sweden and there we had water from the lake Vättern, which was really good back in the days. When moving to Stockholm I have not experienced this at all. We use tap water without any problems - I have even tried water stored for 1,5 years. Still smelled and tasted good and I didn't get any stomach problems :)

@@Vardagsprepping I doubt that, the Stockholmians all thought it tasted normal. I guess that some people can't taste the difference and the others are simply used to it.
I wouldn't store tap water longer than 6 months, maybe if I added some ionized silver to it. But I haven't got around to making that. I'm real anal when it comes to water quality. Personally I don't store water at all right now. It just takes up too much space and I could just drive out on the moped to Yxningen and fill a few cans if need be. Lots of benefits with small town 🙂
