Man what do i have to do to be able to forge with an 8 lbs hammer? And with such good control! Really impressive!
I'm really a beginner but sometimes even my 1 kg hammer becomes tiring real quick

26 years of practice. I wasn't always that efficient. It took me about a year and a half of almost daily forging just to build up the necessary muscles. Just keep at it and you'll get there eventually.

Yes, that's the whole purpose of them. Just make sure your pilot whole for forging is smaller than the pilot for the thread your planning to use.
