Shizuka seems genuinely happy in this video. Cheers to that!
Can’t say I blame her either 😁😁😁
That seems like Shizuka all the time.
i’m overdosing on good vibes with this video
Right? Makes us wanna go back!
Impossible to pick a favorite this time, everything looks so delicious. And i agree with that lady, Shizuka is so cute 😊
yayyy! Glad you liked it!
I really like when Japanese restaurants have an upstairs. It's generally a lot quieter and more cozy! That last restaurant, Asunaro, sure did give HUGE portions!
For real, totally different vibes!
This is the best episode to come out in a while. Why? I like the rustic countryside. What really got me was the 9 minute mark. I'm hearing bossa nova music and again at the 11 minute mark. Astrud Gilberto passed away and she was the last of the greats. I'm happy to hear it again. Thanks I needed that!
It was that cheese pull
:D
What a cheese pull! Shima Onsen looks amazing!
Our fave!
I love Japan...
I have never experienced a cheese tonkatsu cutlet before. The existence of this blows my mind. I will definitely have to experience this at some point.
It was mingblowing!
I know that this channel is about food in Japan... But this travel episode was realy good, and Shizuka's eyes and smile made it even better. You should do the same all over Japan, just a little less food and more travel.
Glad you liked it!
I remember going to Shima Onsen when I was living in Japan. Thanks for making this video🙏
Lovely location, isn't it?!
I'm often a bit scared by the big cities with shoeboxes to live in but as soon as you get into the countryside or just smaller - but bigger - places like this one it's a beautiful dream
We love the countryside!
Shizuka san looks so happy whenever she eats something😍 which makes us happy too😂
Everyone is happy!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Arrigato Gozaimasu!!
Thank you for watching!
Great video as always! I was so pleasently surprised when I heard a brazilian song playing! ❤
Happy to hear that!
Cheese pull looks amazing!! Awesome video as always😄
Thank you for watching!
Now I need to go eat a cheese toastie at 1am! Cheese envy!
hehe, enjoyyy!
Shi holdin' it down as usual!
Pro!
Beautiful locations. And wow that pizza looked delicious 😋. That closing stand up shot with Shizuka during the evening was stunning. It looked like a totally different world. Great job as always JBF team.
Than you so so much!
Love the oldy worldy feel, absolutely stunning
Couldn't agree more!
this was so wholesome ☺ 4:45
Shizukaaaaaaa
Thanks again for bringing another awesome episode. Great work! Btw, @ 20 second +/- in, - dude - when I saw the red bridge with the paper screens lit up in the background, first thought = Spirited Away. Also, the cheese pull segment is gold! Hi-larious! Thanks again for opening another window into Japan. Take it easy!
Yay! So happy to hear such kind words!
Shizuka, you are doing an outstanding job! You projet so much smiles and happiness.
Thank you and bless you!
Hot springs town looks very inviting
For sure!
That 50 year old tonkotsu place looked great nice happy couple!!!! We have been to kusatsu onsen and that was great I'd like to go there too!!! Old charm at night!!!! ♨️⭐️

@@JapanbyFood GREAT!!!

I love all your videos, but I miss you saying, "I'm your host, Shizuka Anderson!"
Great video! And the outro was very cute!
I look forward to Sunday nights after a long weekend of work for these videos. I'll visit Japan one day!!
Please do!
What a magical place. I hope to visit someday.
What a nice cute little town! A very photogenic location!
It really is!
Our favorite was the cheesy katsu, not because you ran out of arm length, but the owners seemed awesome. We felt touched because our parents had a similar type restaurant in Shimbashi. We definitely will visit them. Thanks for another spot Shizuka!
Ooooh how sweet is that? Thank you for sharing!
Ah Shizuka is back ! Another great vlog !
Thank you for watching!
That was very a cool trip!
Indeed!
Lovely location and amazing options for food. Definitely adding this to a future itinerary.
Have fun!

Watched this twice, before my food come and since delivery got delayed, I watched again while eating. Coz I ordered teishoku set and I want to feel as full as Shizuka 😂. My fave is that record-breaking cheese pull!!❤
Thank you for watching twice!
I enjoy your videos, I can’t wait to visit Japan
We look forward to having you!

the food looks sooo good, I feel like your spoiled in Japan with all that yumminess, I need to get a little taste of that, lovin' the 'fits, and love me some Miyazaki, I need try the Onsen experience
PLease visit!
Wonderful video and a beautiful location. I'm craving cheesy Tonkatsu now. :D
We do too!
I absolutely loved the egg custard and the really cheesy tonkatsu!!! 🥰
We do tooo!
Lovely as always. I've never had Japanese cutlets. I've tried every food under the sun. I NEED to eat Ton Katsu.
It is a MUST!
❤,beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
I love your videos and adventures!! They are very different from the normal tourist spots. We are traveling to Japan in September. We are staying in Tokyo for the first few days. Can you recommend a country town instead of Kyoto? We will be going to Okinawa as well, so we will need to be near an airport. Thank you!
Love those remote onsen. Gunma is such a magical prefecture. I have visited shima onsen before and the takaragawa onsen close by are also unique but i miss the pizza. Should try next time. It's such a shame for an Italian like me who live in Japan part of the year to have missed that part of shima. Lol
Takaragawa is most likely the most beautiful onsen in the entire country!
That tonkatsu place was my fave.
Same:D
OK, now we need a ghibli park tour!
We would LOVE to!
The cheese cutlet looked so delicious Shizuka! My mouth was just watering while you were eating the cutlet. But were you able to eat all the cheese Shizuka?😄
Of course!
Hi Japan by Food!!! Hi Shizuka Anderson!!! It's me, Victor!!! 😍🥰🍻🍺
Hello Victor! Thank you for watching!
@@JapanbyFood YW!!! 😍🖤🥰🍻🍺
she is so pretty.
That pizza looked so tasty🤤
It was!
Somebody Feed Shizuka
Come back again the next year😁
We will!
I really did have a laugh at 11:15 on that looked delicious though.
yay! Thanks for watching!
It looks like the kind of place you need to wear your stretchy pants………🤣🤣🤣
Another place to add to our ever increasing list of places to visit when we get over to Japan for the first time
Please visit! You won't regret!
This place reminds me of Hakone a lot.
But is definitely more off the beaten path:)
Zukes!
So now at 7:15 we learn how Shizuka finishes up all those meals! It's the hidden cameraman with the big can who Hoover's up all the leftovers off camera! Do they share the alcohol too? So romantic, perhaps it's time they hire a camerawoman to keep Shizuka better in check.
It is usually a team of three people on the shoot so we always share:)
@@JapanbyFood Of course you have the Camera and sound man also the makeup artist, personal assistant and agent, and the bodyguard too! Don't forget her pet and its caretaker.
gah she's so pretty wtf?!
As a gundam fan, Shima just reminds me of Cima Garahau from Stardust Memory
:O we gotta find out if there is a connection!
Shizuka's moans on that chessy tonkatsu is J*V heaven
I want to eat everything!
Same, lol.
gotta apologize when i first heard drinking the onsen water i be like well i guess only if im the only one using it atm😂
Yeah, no...we'd rather not drink that kind of onsen water:D
Your nails matches the blue drink. Did you get your nails done on purpose.
I feel like Ginzan Onsen is more like the movie setting
Right? So beautiful!
Hello Ma'am can you make vegetarian food video too because if a vegetarian people visit japan that will be very helpful for them to find vegetarian food in Japan.
We will!
saikou no chiizu purru
:D Sou desu neee!
well Shizuka, I like your videos very very much, and I would like very very much visit Japan. But I have two problems: Japan is so big that I don't know where to start or what to choose, and secondly, I do not speak one word of japanese (except for "sake" ...) ... yet I like when you speak japanese ;) ... maybe I can be your cameraman ???? 😊
We hope our videos will help you decide which places to visit! As for the language, body language seems to work just fine, so please do not worry at all about that!
What's a Ghibili? serious question.
its an animation studio that does a lot of anime movies. its japan's version of disney or pixar.
@@cerebrumexcrement thank you!
I wonder if you could sell pizza in Japan? That stuff they call piza aint even close. They might life the real stuff
When an old person tells you you're good looking you gotta believe it.
For real:D
Pizza around my state in the US is just ok. Only a few is above good.
how does she eat so much and not gain a pound!
Eternal question!
Why is she mispronouncing the name? Miyazaki has never called his studio that. It is pronounced Jiburi.
Do you always pronounce everything perfectly?
What are going on about? Miyazaki pronounces it with a J just like Shizuka. Jib-bu-ri. Not like the hard G in Italian. ua-cam.com/video/pl9Q2yx7ppI/v-deo.html&ab_channel=StoryDive
@@matdrat More white knight Simpage.
@@brewbjorn Yes, wife is Japanese.
I was pronouncing it with a “J” as well? 🤔 In romaji, it would be Ji-bu-ri (as I would say when speaking in Japanese), but the official spelling is “Ghibli” so I pronounce it with an “l” in this video, as one would in English. Just to clarify 😆
