I bet you a police department or undercover vice squad would be interested in obtaining this car they drive a lot of these and they're all high mileage cars. They seem to get very good performance out of these cars. Living in Los Angeles I don't know if I'd want to be driving one of these cars because they would really do have an identification with the police in the Sheriff's Department. It is a beautiful car
If you think the seatbelt reminder was annoying on this car, shortly after this model year Ford switched to a 3 tone chime that starts immediately when you start the car and will NEVER stop until you put the belts on lol Dual exhaust was a stand alone option but it's a piece of cake to put one in. The beauty of the old Panther platform is how easy it is to work on. Lots of guys do a manual transmission swap on them. Maybe not so much on the Grand Marquis but on the Crown Vics.
I love these cars. I really liked that red crown victoria you had about a month ago. I have a 2010 crown victoria police interceptor and the car runs great. I bought it a little over a year ago and the lo get I have it the more I just really like it.

I drove it without issue for around 4 plus years and then the pretty white paint started to come off in weird shaped circles on the trunk followed by the top and the hood. Ford did not think it was cost effective to retrofit this platform with stability controls and other Federally mandated improvements on a low selling vehicle. I would have loved to see these with current updated improvements and amenities. This one is beautiful.
You are right after that Ford never was same after these Panthers were discontinued. I like larger yachts as these our elders loved these cars, every time see one it was always an elderly person. I miss the old GM cars too as Buick's had some nice comfortable cars too. My aunt had a 95 Roadmaster she loved that car to death that was her pride and joy.
