Zip zap you must be rackin up the frequent flyer miles lol. If you’ve never been out to Catalina island off the coast of Cali you really should check it out. Ferry boats leave from Dana point, Long Beach. Prob not much to video for the channel but a cool place to visit for a day trip.
Not been to Catalina yet, been wanting to go for long time, we looked into helicopter rides to the island and seems like fun, thinking to maybe go over on a boat and come back on helicopter or vice versa. Cost looks to only be $100 more per person each way and worth it for the experience i think.
Our petrol prices jumped about 50 cents per liter overnight from $1.29 to mid $1.70s. That equates to $5.16 per gallon to $7 per gallon. And we think $1.29 per liter is cheap! The price of our diesel remains steady at around $.1.50 per liter.
Probably the owner! Guys that normally drive those boats, if it is the owner, can REALLY drive those boats. I run with them often at the Tickfaw 200 and Emerald Coast Poker Runs. These guys are out running 100+ in 4 footers just pounding the shit out of the hulls. Riding in one in those conditions is like a damn car wreck every few seconds, and they do it for hours and hours over a 5 day weekend, then go bolt shit back together they broke apart and prep for the next run.
I understand and agree with you..., however am still curious. If it is a broker, i am sure he understands over-revving and problems associated.., and if its the owner then am sure he had experienced the former and now knows better... have a great weekend.
@@harchihiarchi lol. The reason I think it isn't the broker is they normally run conservatively on boats they don't own. No way would a broker be airing out a 40' hull on an inlet. They have a reputation to uphold, and knowing people regularly film boats like this, it would be irresponsible to be driving it like this as a broker. On the flip side to this, Kenny the Velocity guy, a boat broker, will drive every hull like he stole it and has 100lbs of black tar heroine onboard. His motto(I think): If it can't handle a little air, then you shouldn't buy it. I have personally watched him, Steve Stepp, and a couple others drive brand new undelivered owner's boats to the absolute max in some pure shit conditions and even scared the hell out of a few owners. I've seen Steve drive a brand new 322 with twin 500s wide ass open in shit that they cancel poker runs and come back to the dock like 'She only ran 82 today due to the chop, but I'm pretty sure we can get her above 90 with a little prop tuning' NO FUCKING JOKE!
I'm glad i clicked the "read more" tab Charlie.., as i'm a broker / buyer's agent, and i feel the same way as Steve. I need to know how a product runs and her balance, and close to her limits is quite a bonus.
