    Just out of curiosity, couldn’t have you spread the fert first, disked, spread seed and cultipacked and had similar results and not having to go over it so many times?

      Because the sorghum seed germinates the best at 1.5 inches under the ground. So dragging it makes sure it gets the extra dirt on top when you go to pack it. It also makes everything nice and level for when you go to pack it. You can still get decent results by just packing it. We just like to take the extra step when planting bigger seeds.
