adobe stock has slowly been growing for me, and now with AI, I've begun to sell a few of them as well. I think every holiday and season I;m going to go and generate new AI images for seasonal trends and see if that can help too.
Glad to hear it! I think that's a great idea; that's one of the great upsides of generative AI, you can generate anything at anytime. I'm glad you're gaining some traction.
I've only been at this for about 9months but I can't make sense of how these different stock agencies work and what truly drives sales. It feels completely random. I have essentially the same portfolio on every stock site. Only about 350-400 images at the moment, but very different monthly results. Dreamstime, Pond5, and Alamy have been absolutely terrible with less than $10/mo combined. Shutterstock was marginally better with about $20-25/per mo. However, Adobe Stock is getting me $100-$150/mo. I'll have to give Deposit Photos a shot as well.
Your hair story was kind of funny. One time I was trimming my eyebrows and accidentally did the same thing, It was a mess. I was thankful to wear glasses that mostly covered it up 🤣.
Haha I totally see the humor in it, that was like my third take of that clip because I was cracking up so much trying to describe it 😂, haha eyebrows are just as bad, I probably just shave both brows lol
hi rohane to my understanding adobe and dreamstime are the only ones taking in AI images, how is your sales of ai images doing on dreamstime? wont it get saturated as everyone will be doing it??
Many thanks for the very interesting videos. Have you also recently had adobe stock reject a lot of photos? And how are you doing with Eyem Stock? Do they pay the money?
I don't get a lot of rejections on adobe, I carefully choose the images I upload. In terms of EyeEm I've stopped uploading there since they are not giving out payouts. I have 2 payments pending and that been that way since November 2022 (8+ months ago).
@@orendthomas haha I'm sure everyone was more surprised by the shaved head haha. Lol I immediately started thinking 🤔 "can I call out of work for a week?" LOL
i have no idea why, but my sales going nearly to 0. I sell more in my first month on adobe than the last 4 months together. no idea why. is shadowbanning a thematic on adobe? (i upload only ai images)
The summer months are the least profitable months for stock photography; I've seen a dramatic decline in sales as well. People are busy on vacation. I don't think shadow banning is a thing on adobe, I hope not, but sales will hopefully start picking up again.
I really enjoy your videos. And your stock photography is great and quite inspiring. I really like the photos of your family. They're very expressive.
Thanks for the video. Very informative as usual 👍
