- Just wanted to have a little fun today with modding Halo Anniversary and trying out different vehicles on the Warthog Run like with the different secret vehicles on the last level of Halo 3. No commentary or narration today but enjoy!

So is nobody gonna talk about how shitty the Pillar of Autumn's design is from a real life perspective?
Must be fun for the engineers when they're bored though.

I wish they had enough technology and gaming systems to load something like a whole pillar of autumn so you can fly around the whole thing outside of it in real life perspective time.
I think someone calculated that the warthog run distance is actually longer than the canonical length of the POA lmao
Jacgren doesn't really take much calculation lel, the warthog run is something like 3 kilometers, the ship itself is only like 2.5 iirc
Edit: not even 2.5; it's 1.17 kilometers long

3:05 has anyone ever questioned where this section would be in the pillar of autumn and how it would make sense? I’m pretty sure there’s no place where two parts of the ship is connected by a small Bridge
Joshua Purdy right? It's a huge space craft, why have a huge chasm connected by one bridge? As much as I love CE, the warthog run layout was ridiculous

Yeah, I think someone actually tried to overlay the run's layout over the ship design as well, and it extended like three times longer than the ship's actual size. Plus with the angle the Longsword escapes the ship, the entire run is going across the ship, not down its length... which makes it even worse.
@@cyqry Don't forget that the Chief took 5 minutes to WALK from the Bridge at the front of the Ship to the ENGINE ROOM, assumedly at the back of the ship, you know, where the engines would be, yet needs a vehicle to get to a hanger which would have taken like an hour to walk to?

You can with mods. But it's impractical. The thing moves too slow. The banshee is meh. The ghost can work nicely. Although getting hit alot screws it up.

I still don't understand why they had a road like this on the Pillar of Autumn, or any ship.
They arent roads, but it is enpty space thats over 4x longer that the actual ship
It would make sense to have a hangar space where vehicles can drive around. Though the level doesn't make sense as an elongated vehicle bay with all the ramps.

Well, it looks like those hangar bays we could see in the very first cutscene, and sure it makes sense to have connections between various hangars to move supplies and vehicles easily.

Marines reload animations. CE is the only Halo game where an AI has to reload their weapons. Could be interesting to see how much detail have been put into each animations.
It's really cool, when grunts shoot the needler, the needles shorten and disappear, and as they reload, al the spikes come back up.
I love how Cortana keeps telling you to get back to the Warthog despite being in an even better vehicle lol

I have always wondered why pillar of autumn even has this ''highway''. I mean, sure it's fun to drive & all but what was the logical reason to ''build'' it? Are marines like racing there on free time or something!?

They built the Warthog Run before they built the ship itself :D
Yeah, I think it would’ve made more sense to have the ship in ruin with holes and debris everywhere and having you drive on that than having what is basically a race-track going across a military spaceship.

You could try to put the multiplayer Fuel Rod Gun into Halo CEA if the code still remains, and maybe see its model in Anniversary mode, maybe do the same for the Flamethrower.

Pillar of autumn is much more empty space rather than useful areas where they can control the ship and else . The engineers must have thought let's build a playground inside how about 4 playgrounds inside

If I’m not mistaken, that variant of banshee is the same one used in halo reach, right?
Model is the same as that in anniversary graphics because 343 got lazy and used a bunch of copied assets for CEA.

on some levels, yes, they are
The original art style fits Halo CE's atmosphere much more than the remastered art style for sure. The only remastered visuals I prefer are probably the winter areas since the updated snowy nature looks colder, cleaner and prettier. They did a much better job with Halo 2 Anniversary though as that remastered art style is almost identical to the original, just updated to modern visual standards.

Well you know cortana said the heat is 100 million degrees when the ship explodes, well in halo 3 he falls from space at 200 million degrees, so his mark five suit should survive 120 million degrees with out killing the person in side the suit.
A quick Google search says re-entry is about 2900 degrees Celsius...

In CE I don't think so since its not actually solid you can walk through it in reach you can though and I'm REALLY interested to see if you can in Halo 3 since there are alive longswords in the cut-scene

You can mod your Xbox 360 and any game that is on it so you can mod Halo CEA but nothing on the Xbox One so no Halo 2 Anniversary mods yet. Halo 5 got limited mods thanks to the PC release though.

If you throw a grenade perfectly at the banshee it will clip through and stick the elite who will then eject on the bridge. Only took me 8 tries. I have video proof.
I have heard you have to overload the engine room as well but I'm not too sure on that part.

Yep. The engine can help get a banshee. But.. you have to keep picking up weapons.

There's a way to get a banshee without mods or the over load glitch.

Halo 1 or 3 Can you complete the Warthog run on foot?
Apparently in the mod SPV3, if you enable the skull that prevents you from driving, the timer is removed and you can walk the whole run.
Why not just fly over the ship and go to Echo part?
