"What's scary is something that's random, that's unknown, the unknown killer that walks up and kills you for no reason is utterly terrifying because you're defenseless against it." So essentially, Michael Myers.
Unpopular opinion, but I LOVED the ending. Tommy lee Jones’s talent really shines through and he has this amazing twitchy fidgety character change. His monologue is so well delivered and Faye falling onto him screaming I love you? Ugh! I feel like it sounds so cheesy now because of how many times the split personality trope has been done. But I feel like this is less a split personality trope and more so amazing characterization on the actors’ part. “He can’t even pay the light bill. Faye Dunaway though, wow, what a career she had in the 1970's, and I'm not just saying this because she was my late mother's favorite actress, but I think she was one of the best things going in that decade in regarding an actor or actress.

People including actors say Irvin kershner was not quite an easy man to get along with. When he was directing RoboCop 2, he and some of the other stars of the film, including Nancy Allen, just had a very bad influence and could never bond with him. He and Nancy Allen never got along and just didn't like each other. Peter Weller said kershner was almost the same way to him, but he also said from time to time, he'd see Nancy crying and bawling because of kershner pushing her around. Which is the ultimate reason why she was killed off in the 3rd movie. She just didn't want to do it again. So according to a lot of actors, producers and executives, Irvin kershner wasn't always quite someone to give a warm welcome and argued with with people a lot and he just wasn't somebody to get along with. But at least he's done some great movies. No matter what.

I bought that poster a few years ago for a friend after we had seen a screening of the film. There are actually three different versions of it,the pre release version of it you can barely make out Dunaway's face but the eyes are clearly visible ( that's the one I bought),as the release got closer a second version was issued, where Dunaway's face can be seen but is hazy but her eyes stand out clearly. When the film was finally released a third version was released where Dunaway's face is clearly in focus and the eyes STILL stand out.Clever,as the films release got closer and closer her face gets clearer and clearer.
This is weird. Two movies I looked up earlier because they popped into my head…. One of which I found and watched ….. Are both mentioned in this video! Jackson County Jail and Snake Eater! The day they pop in my head I watch this not an hour later! What do you call that ( besides coincidence) Providence?
I loved Seaquest DSV. It's too bad they screwed it up. I couldn't watch all of the first episode of the third season. But the first two were pretty good. Basically Star Trek underwater. It had heart and it would have been cool to see what it could have been if they hadn't dicked with it. They tried to keep it grounded in science and even had little educational spots about the ocean in the first season. The dicking started with season 2 when they tried upping the action. This pissed off the lead, Roy Schieder, and he wanted out. Which lead to the disastrous abomination of season 3. At any rate, if you're looking to relive a nostalgic bit of 90s TV, check out the first couple of seasons. Then try to watch the first episode of season 3 and then shut it off. ;)
@Joseph Wilson Pleased to meet you! :) Yeah, there really isn't quite the rabid fan base like other shows. I understand feeling like being the only one of the few to like it. :/

I really like this movie and own it. The poster really freaked me out as kid. I used to see it everywhere billboards, bus stops etc. Between this and the Magic (1978) poster I was traumatized.😬
Kirshner's take on fashion and violence is pretty canny. The photos used in the clip are by Helmut Newton who equated fashion with sadomasochism!! How interesting!!!

9:38 - "...And spiders! Giant spiders! There's going to be a giant spider at the climax where Laura must battle it with her psychic powers... Yeah, that's the ticket!".
Fuck that poster is amazing 😉
I bought that poster a few years ago for a friend after we had seen a screening of the film. There are actually three different versions of it,the pre release version of it you can barely make out Dunaway's face but the eyes are clearly visible ( that's the one I bought),as the release got closer a second version was issued, where Dunaway's face can be seen but is hazy but her eyes stand out clearly. When the film was finally released a third version was released where Dunaway's face is clearly in focus and the eyes STILL stand out.Clever,as the films release got closer and closer her face gets clearer and clearer.
the barbra streisand song from this is my fave from her,..
They mention that the oldest kid on Malcolm in the Middle ruined Hal's laserdisc of Eyes of Laura Mars
Cecil, what about a video about Donnie Darko? Would LOVE you exploring that movie, cast, director, soundtrack etc. 👌😁
I loved the ending, I liked when Laura saw herself thru the killers eyes
Kind of like flying a FPV drone.
This is weird. Two movies I looked up earlier because they popped into my head…. One of which I found and watched …..
Are both mentioned in this video!
Jackson County Jail and Snake Eater!
The day they pop in my head I watch this not an hour later! What do you call that ( besides coincidence)
Providence?
I love your vids!!!
It's like your reading my mind! I sought this movie out a couple weeks back cause I wanted to see a young tommy lee jones. And I loved the film and the theme song
Love these. Now must watch the movie on Amazon prime
I really like this movie and own it. The poster really freaked me out as kid. I used to see it everywhere billboards, bus stops etc. Between this and the Magic (1978) poster I was traumatized.😬
Playboy did a photo-spread of Eyes and I believe they added photos that lived up to the Playboy expectations.
I liked the movie. It's corny but it's not boring. Moves at a fast pace. The cast is great. Entertaining.
Great job. Thanks!!
Excellent exploring video Cecil please review Ms. 45 from 1981 directed by Abel Ferrara.
Second that.

Thanks so much ffor releasing one!!!
The truth is; it's rare that the unknown person who harms you; and scarier to me.
De Palma would be great director for this film.
you mean would have been
Kirshner's take on fashion and violence is pretty canny. The photos used in the clip are by Helmut Newton who equated fashion with sadomasochism!! How interesting!!!
Can you do Howling IV: The Original Nightmare next?
john "this movie needs a giant spider" peters
A great film!
I'm surprised the movie came out decent despite it's setbacks behind the scenes. Exploring Black Moon Rising would be a nice edition to this one. Hope there is enough material out there to make a video.
I just finished this film and I really enjoyed it.
