Thanks for the dedication. They built walls on the third floor around the atrium railings and created a path to the elevator lobby. The elevator and escalators in this store are still operational despite the rearranging/renovations behind those temporary walls.
Very nice escalators for being 10 years old as well, but that’s not good the third floor is closed off for 10 years hopefully it’s just a cosmetic renovation because usually when a department store does that it means two things: The store is downsizing or going to close for good! 😳 But in Von Maur’s case it’s probably a renovation more than likely! 🤔
@@mariokart8715 Yeah that is very true, those elevators and escalators definitely are in excellent shape for being 10 years old, but then again Von Maur is basically Nordstrom’s so of course they are going to be decent, yeah those walls are probably there for renovation more than likely because I doubt they are downsizing and or going to be going out of business! 🤔
@@mariokart8715 Covid didn’t just destroyed department stores, it has destroyed a lot of stores and caused bankruptcies of Jcpenney’s and Lord and Taylor for an example, Lord and Taylor already closed down at most of the Metro Atlanta area stores such as: Phipps Plaza now a Nordstrom’s as of 2005, then North Point Mall became Belk in 2006/2007, then closed for a Von Maur in 2011, the first Georgia and Atlanta area location of course, then lastly Mall of Georgia became a Belk as of 2006/2007, and still currently a Belk of course, but Covid has destroyed human lives and everything else in general, fortunately enough my current home state of Florida has done amazing during Covid because our Governor Ron Desantis has done a lot to keep our state going strong! 🤔

You’re welcome! I don’t know
@@escandelev Me either
They built walls around the railings of the atrium and a path leading to the elevator lobby. They’re still operational though.

At least the elevator and escalators are still operational; they just built walls around the atrium railing and elevator lobby.

Covid wrecked the whole department store chains.
