Every day that's nice my husband two German shepherds and I go for a morning walk. We usually walk from 3 to 4 km. I'm almost 70 yrs old and he's a little older. It sure makes you feel better and improves quality of life. Congratulations on your walking it will keep getting easier every day.❤ I use a smart watch.

I'm watching older videos! I am so proud of your walking. You've motivated me to try. My spine was fractured in 5 places in 2006 and has progressively gotten more painful. My hips hurt along with that and i get to the point that i can't move anymore. My sweet husband encourages me to walk, but it is so painful. I know weight doesn't help. I'm going to try to do what you're doing.... ❤ thank you for your update!!❤
I just happened upon your channel. I just turned 56 and my mom died in 1999 at age 57. So I understand how you feel. I miss her very much. And I walk too, have for years and love it. God bless you.

My mom passed at age 57 suddenly a week after Mother’s Day and my birthday 62 years ago and this past year my 85th birthday was again on Mother’s Day. She was my best friend and a lovely lady who everyone loved. My heart goes out to you and I hope your birthday will be blessed. 💜💕❤️

I had the same with my dad, who raised me. I am two years away from the age he passed away. It really weighs on your heart and mind.
Shirl, don't focus on the weight loss part. Remember, when you work your muscles, you gain muscle mass, which is weight. So while you actually are losing weight, as you see in your inches, your muscles are building and taking the place of those "pounds". You are doing awesome. Focus on your health and not your scale. :) Love your hauls and your heart.

My Mom passed at 44 and I remember feeling the way you do. When I turned 44 it was so strange knowing how my Mom felt at the age I was then. I'm 67 now, she's been gone almost 50 years now but I know how you are feeling.

I was very interested in the muslin throw now i'll definatelywill buy some. I luv those dryer balls. Finding that set of 3 at that price awesome. They really work. Oooooo the pink pearl hanger :) the flower and pink vase and girl heads yes to all. The wax closet scent, totally new to me. What a clever idea for the spritzer, I have onefrom a long time back, I but scent spray in mine. I could use a water ne more i think. I'm all about buying fancy fun lipsticks tubes. Beautiful story about mom & you.
Congratulations on walking. I Was a fitness walker for aboutn 6 years in my forties and i could get in the zone and feel like i was gliding above the sidewalk. I am someone who never did any kind of exercise (I miss disco dancing and just club dancing in the 80's :) So walking gave me huge self esteem. and it did't hurt that I had a good body.
Now would be a good time for me to get that pedometer. I also have hypo thyroid- or as my DR says Hashimoto Disease. thank you for this visit, xxoo A

I had weight loss surgery in 2018 and lost over 100 lbs in a year and I had periods during that year where I wasn’t losing pounds but I was losing inches. It’s weird I know, but it happens- as you know. Muscle weighs more than fat so that could be a reason too since you said you’ve built up muscle.
I’ve always wanted to try the magnet fishing and I will one day. Have a blessed week! 🧡

My husband is on Ozempic for diabetes, and he's one of the lucky ones. He's lost 12 pounds and still losing which of course is also helping his sugars and his blood pressure. I'm sorry you haven't lost and feel sick with it, but congratulations on sugar control!

with the wool balls for the dryers you can use essential oils on them as well so that you don't need dryer sheets at all

Goats milk soap under your mattress helps with leg cramps. When I first heard that I thought that’s the stupidest thing I’d ever heard but my husband has horrible cramps we tried it and it really works

@@arewethereyetajsm he has started potassium in the last 6months but has done the soap thing for years. They say to switch it out if you feel the cramps returning and then just use the soap. His sister uses two bars but we never found it necessary

Muscle weighs more than fat, so KEEP ON KEEPING ON! The changes you’re feeling are POSITIVE!! Ozempic is to be used by folks like YOU, NOT for weight loss!! Listen to the ads and learn that use without medical (pancreas/insulin need) can be detrimental to one’s health!!

I very much understand about pain and ability to walk. I've been pretty much homebound for 4 years. I had a multilevel lumbar fusion in June of 2019. After which I got an ilius and ended up with a temporary colostomy. I was devasted. Being an RN I cared for many patients with one but on me it was different. When I went in for the reversal the surgeon did something whereas I had to have 10 units of blood. I woke up a week later as they were taking me off life support. This 6 month hospital/nursing home stay caused a major depression. So now my SI joints have collapsed resulting in bone on bone pain. Being I'm on workers comp they've been dictating my life since 2010. Last December they approved a fusion on my right side. In May my neurosurgeon requested authorization to do a fusion on my left side in which they refused. As of this time my right side is an inch longer than my left which causes more hip pain than what I originally had. So I definitely understand pain and walking. I too aim for
1,000 steps per day. I really have to push myself to hit that goal. Unless you've gone through this they don't understand. And on top of this my precious hubby is 10,000 miles away which is a story on its own. So when a family member says knock off the depression they have no idea of how much I'm hurting inside. So I'm there with you Cheryl....completely.

Hi Shirl. It is so nice to visit with you. I love all of the prissy pink things you have purchased. I like things like that too. Unfortunately, my health right now is such that I am not able to clean and care for decorations. I hope you can always enjoy them. I am glad you are getting in more steps and feeling better. I took one Ozempic injection and unfortunately it made me so sick I had to go to the ER. I am a little disappointed that you did not introduce your new kitten. I adore cats. I have two and there is no way in the world they would leave all of the pretties you acquire for your home alone, especially my younger one. I wish you a very happy early birthday and I hope your husband takes you somewhere very special and beautiful. Take good care.

Catch ya on the next video and Congratulations on your "get moving" journey. I am a diabetic as well and have found I do and feel better when I'm moving. I really enjoy when the weather permits to be able to get out and just take in our beautiful surroundings. 😊 I like to get out 2-3 times a day for short jaunts instead of doing one big walk.

I am 78 and have out lived 3 husband's and never has any of them had an opinion of how I decorated our home. I think if you were to ask them, they couldnot tell you what color the sheets were or if we even had sheets on the bed. Now if I were to ask them or point out the fact that we had pk sheets, then they would probably say they didnot notice

I can relate to you on the thyroid .I had my thyroid removed in 11 years ago and I went from 135 pounds to 180. And I am really struggling to lose this weight. Even more so because I'm 63. . but I started a serious weight loss journey. Iv been on it for 2 weeks it's hard but I'm trying. I ride my stationary bike everyday twice for 30 min each. I'm very active. I changed my eating ways. I hope this works for me. So I totally understand congrats on your acheivment. I will let you know how mine ends up.

Are the campgrounds down there expensive? Some of the ones here in Alberta Canada are $40- $50 / night
Yes, they're definitely not cheap. Most are $35-$60 a night depending on the hookups. Luckily my husband gets a bit of a discount most places because he's a veteran. Things are so expensive these days!
Have you heard of Passport America they are affiliated with lots of campgrounds and their membership gives you 50% discount for weekday rates. We had it for years and even though there aren’t too many where we live it still helps
