Paul Bettany had such a sad childhood. Not sure if Stephen knew, but Paul’s younger brother died shortly before he dropped out of school. I wouldn’t hold that against Paul, but life choices are what you make out of it and Paul made the best one at that time.
I dont see how that'd get brought up or even why it would be necessary though. I've lost alot of people close to me at a young age and can easily say, if I was famous and on a talk show? It's the last thing I'd want brought up for the world to then discuss and ask me about.

Claire’s energy is so contagious. Watching her makes me happy
Tobias Menzies certainly made the role his own, but I often wonder how Paul Bettany would have been as Philip in Seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown…(he was the original choice).
As someone who is just a little younger than Paul Bettany and also from the U.K. it annoys me somewhat when Brits go on USA chat shows and just laugh along with the host’s incorrect statements about our country. At that time in the U.K. leaving school at 16 was still a perfectly normal occurrence, so much so that if you decided to do the two further years of education (which was, by law, optional) it was referred to as ‘staying on’. Leaving school at 16 for someone of Paul’s age wouldn’t be anything of note over here and would never have been referred to as dropping out.
I wish Stephen would do another show where he has full 30 mins 60 mins with people similar to like Graham Norton so you could have people out longer. Stephen has that ability.
I'm English and Stephen is the only American talk show host worth watching, agreed he needs more time but he does this every night, need to chill and maybe do it twice/three times with more content from guests.
Yeah i think his show is ok as far as american talk shows go, one of the best here buuuuuut... it clearly constrains his interactions and limits what the show should be. Honestly the american talk show format is pretty much played out IMO and itd be nice to get different formats like how conan did his last show or how norton does his or how lettermans one on one show ended up going. Tired of the kimmels and fallons zzz
After what Andrew Garfield said about not being in No Way Home, you can never be sure whether or not an actor is telling the truth about their appearance. I can’t tell what’s real anymore.
The thing about spiderman though was that set photos leaked so that one was more obvious that all 3 spidermen would appear than with Vision being in Doctor Strange but I won't be surpised if he shows up because Wanda is in Dr. Strange
Man he really did a number on the public with that huh? I havent seen it but ive seen references during other episodes of shows. I didnt keep up with any of the press or stuff about it watched all 3 them finally last week and OMFG they were AMAZING ;)
I know Stephen had to ask but I still find it very annoying. I don't get why people ASK about cameos and spoilers. The fun of film watching is to be entertained and SURPRISED. It's not a surprise if you know what's coming.
And Paul is notorious for lying 😂 Remember that "actor I've always wanted to work with"? Well he didn't lie exactly, he just misled us. So yep. Not reliable for spoilers 😂
Why would we believe the same guy who teased he loved working with this actor in the WandaVision finale? 🤣🤣🤣He’s such a tease! And a talented actor; would love to see him back as White Vision somehow in the future
I would think Paul probably wanted to leave after that last question; it was a bit rude. I know they approve the questions, but I would think it would be obvious don't ask that, why is it even on the list?
You taught him to punch and suddenly he’s being bullied? Bettany, his very strength invites challenge, challenge incites conflict, and conflict breeds catastrophe!
The Vision head in the bed is easily explained; Paul was playing host to some international students who were paying their way by being crash test dummies.
Yeah he's a major character in the comics but he always seems like he's there to advance Wanda's storyline in the MCU, even though I love them together as a couple. Both Wanda and Vision need their own character-centric storylines for a little while.

Stephan, watch "My Fair Lady." Anyone may learn to speak with the posh "upper-class English" pronunciation. It is called Received Pronunciation or RP for short. It is not an English accent as it is not regional or class-structured in its origin or usage 3:13. It is a learned pronunciation method taught by speech professionals.. We honestly can't tell the difference, just as a Brit likely can't tell between Michigan and Montana, South Carolina and Kentucky, or even California and Maine, on totally different sides of the country. Unless it's cockney, it all sounds posh to us. Saying this as a West Coast American who studied British History in university and grew to hear the subtle differences.
