id love to take rogan and diaz paintballing, so much fun. I remember Shatner ball. i never got to go but i had friends that went. my team turns like 15 this coming year
Wow i was hoping B Real's paintball background would get brought up. He was actually heavy in the pro scene. If i remember right, he either played on like a D4 or D3 team. I was heavy into tournament paintball back in the mid 2000s. I remember being shocked that B Real was in the scene because tourney paintball was much more underground. He mentioned a little bit of it. But he was "back player" so he would play corners or home bunkers. Because he's huge. Positions like that are only for big people lol. You can def see he's been out of the scene for a whileee lol by the terminology he's using. Mentioning Angels and shit. Yeah he def played in the NPPL tournament league since he said Huntington Beach. Fuck i miss it. Much too expensive these days for most people. Especially being an adult and not having mommy and daddy buying everything lol. B Real knows his shit though. He was around the time Nicky Cuba, Thomas Taylor, Matty Marshall were the top guys.
i had a ton of friends that played at high levels and we got to play with them once at a local field. i didnt get to meet him really but it was really cool playing with them, so it was really cool to hear him bring this up as i forgot about it, its been YEARS! lol gunna have to go back and watch the whole thing.
I found out he played when I was watching a tournament at the Badlandz in Illinois around 2003-2004. Which was hilarious to me as I got into Cypress Hill before I got into paintball. So I thought he was cool as fuck.
I met B real when I was a kid at a paintball tournament. Dudes where smoking weed in the parking lot. I mean they were called the stoned assasins. Good times
I played paintball since 92, and played on a national speedball team. I remember seeing in the magazines when Shatner was into paintball, also Everlast from House Of Pain. Everlast was the best because he didn’t have any gear, he just wore regular hip hop jeans and a tshirt and stuck an extra pod in his front pocket 🤣 Very badass.
Paintball isn't the same anymore sadly. Dynasty is practically the only professional team that has any "celebrity" or "famous" players. They've really made a joke out of it
Alex J hahahahaha my first and only paintball gun. My friends and I use to paintball in a field with only a face mask. I had welts for months. Some even broke skin and scabed up. What bunch of dummies we were.
But did you have the Flatline with it? Never had a Tippmann, had some friends that did. I started with a Brass Eagle Stingray, then moved to a Piranha, and ended with a Good old AGD AutoMag 68 Classic.
@@Fitch93 Eventually did upgrade to the Flatline barrel. Best upgrade for that marker you could make. Came with something like a 7 inch stock barrel out of the box, pretty weak. My first marker was Brass Eagle. Did not like that one at all.
What division team you play on? I bet Stoned Assassins were decent. Probably some real ballers on the team an some pretty shit guys too lol. All love though!
Everlast from House Of Pain played with B-Real also. I played off and on from 92 till the end of 08. I played professionally for the team Edmonton Impact in 04/05/06. I remember seeing all the guys he talked about in the Paintball magazines. Shatner was even on the cover of one as well as Maurice.
Just to clarify, when I used to play the regulations were a maximum of a 4000 psi tank of compressed air or a 2000 psi tank of Co2, and you could not shoot a paintball at more than 300 feet per second, or more than one paintball per trigger pull unless the rules stated otherwise. I forget the league that allowed up to 3 paintballs per trigger pull, regardless with the two finger extra light triggers you could fire at basically full auto if you had a decent cadence. And a paintball going 300 FPS doesn’t exactly tickle if it hits you in the right spot.
shatner was into it way before b-real. played for years with tom kay of airgun designs and shot non electric guns. maurice gibb played, super cool dude RIP, b-real played in the National Professional Paintball League...aka the NPPL. 7 man team, the stoned assassins. It was considered at that time the highest level of tournament paintball. I miss those days. I'm sure he does too. Paintball was such a cult sport at that time because everyone thought were were playing in the woods while rocky cagnoni was head first diving over bunkers in huntington beach lol
Back in the day (20-30 years ago), we used to play with single shot guns (had to rack/cock before each shot) and used the small co2 cartridges instead of the big tanks. And we played in natural terrain with bushes and maybe some plywood structures/shacks. There was a more deliberate strategy than just blasting the fuck out of people. I stopped playing when the semi-automatic guns and motocross cosplay nonsense started creeping in.
ive been playing since 1998 and this was common knowledge in the community, even some of the guys from the bee gees played too at world cup, wanna say it was NPPL 2002 ?

I miss those nppl days :*). God I used to see it in person in san diego and watch dynasty play. I was just a teen at the time, time flys but I was lucky to at least enjoy it a little.
It would be awesome if Joe and the guys entered a 5man or 3man local tournament for sober October. Guess it would be to different to have them work together. But they could compete against eachother too 1vs1 funny to watch
…I played tournament paintball at the Pro level _(NPPL & NXL)_ & he’s leaving a lot out… there’s _RecBall_ (dressing in Army Clothes and playing army out in the woods paintball), there’s _Tournament Paintball_ (which is _SpeedBall_ *AKA* _AirBall)_ which is a fast-paced version of _Capture the Flag_ he’s talking about Tournament Play… Tournament Play has Front Players, Mid-Players & Back Players. Back Players stay close to the back of the field, Front Players Charge to more forward positions & Mid players are who move forward after/if the front players get eliminated. I, personally, started as a back player… I ended up as an insert player until I got picked up by more established team
Maurice Gibb was so into paintball he owned a store? Shatner huffin & puffin around obstacles? I never thought I'd want to hear more about paintball before today.
Paintball guns back then and now are about as different as cellphones then and now. You generally have three types of guns. Milsim: usually look like a real gun but still have a hopper and air tank and are usually mechanical. Speedball: Your "generic" paintball gun look, light, hopper, air tank, and have electrical components to adjust firerate, firing mode, and generally make the gun shoot faster. Mag fed: the most realistic type but does take skill to play with. Usually have magazines ranging from 8-20+ rounds (not very much at all).
Bonus balling at a distance is rarely intentional. I know I had a dp g4 with magnetic trigger and pulled the trigger a few times at a guy and by the time the first paintball hit him there were 5 more in the air and he like got weird after and thought I had bonus balled him. Bonus balling is when you know they are out and are still hitting them. Also he’s not right about the trigger, the marker (not a gun) fires ramping for tournament which is like a type of burst fire.
Paintball should be in the Olympics in my opinion it’s a sport just doesn’t get as much love as it should heck esports gets more love then paintball which sucks
What he's talking about to have the trigger fan to make it like an uzi is called an auto cocker. I didnt give it the name just what it's called lol. Its basically as fast as u can push the trigger down is essentially how fast you can shoot which means x amount of balls per second. Growing up I was sponsored by Mt Dew aka Pepsi and played alot of tournaments for them. Shits addicting and fun foreal. Angel's shoot around 20- 25 balls per second and Bob long dragon can shoot 25 to 30 balls per second off the auto cocker. Now you can get electric trigger but that limits you to x amount of balls per second depending on the brand you choose. But no electronic trigger will ever compete with an auto cocker foreal. Simply because you can press the trigger faster then you could to hold it an wait for it to shoot js.
My work buddy went in bought scuba tanks and all the best parts watched B real play in field auto cockers is what he was trying to say when he could remember Angel gun etc
I remember the old paintball days. 2006 Kansas City nppl I shot breal in the face. I still remember it like yesterday. What a good time playing tournament paintball.
Sounds like b-real is one of those guys who says they've played paintball but don't seem to know very many specifics now I imagine b-real hasn't played in a long time being that the gun he used as an example was an angel
