@@lewissmith3673 No, apparently that wasn't acquired until 1761 by George III. The house in the video was in George II's time. His royal residence, or one of them at least was Kew Palace.
Definitely prefer a character house. This house is stunning, an absolute dream. However I would have added a bit more colour, it doesn’t show case the features as much with all the rooms being the same colours, and some traditional tiling would’ve been nice.
I would love to see some more grade listed homes. I would love to see a London townhouse traditional furnishings rather than a traditional house mixed with modern, it would be nice to see something that was truly as close to what it would have been like in the 18th or early 19th century. I’ve seen a lot of these properties for sale so they’re definitely out there
The only thing that really annoyed me is the downstairs toilet. The bathrooms they showed next were in a similar style to the house, but then that one toilet....
I wondered why all the shutters and blinds were down, the presenter clearly didn’t realise the huge downside of security when he pulled the curtains back to show bars on the windows! 😮
I abolutely love this property. Class and sophistication at its finest. There is something so beautifully about old homes which are restored. I love the entrance, a few steps up from the pavement and then this gorgeous door. I have to say the owners did an amazing job with the interior. So beautifully done, from the floors to the colour scheme, the magnificent fireplaces. One word for it all : majestical. I just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see more videos.
I used to ride from Wimbledon Common onto Richmond Park years ago. Not all the horses liked the deer, they'd be quite jittery. It was fabulous to have so much green space so close to London. One year a man was stopped and arrested for speeding - on a horse! I think this is the nicest house so far, but a garden would be nice too!
Omg, the lack of knowledge of these people is shocking considering they’re presenting property, ‘we love this historic property’, but they’ve no idea about why it’s laid out like that. A house like this would have had a large staff, living and working in the basement - hence two kitchens, a back stairs, pulley systems to get things upstairs. Instead of saying ‘let us know in comments what you think this is for’, how about doing some research, guys?
Wow, totally mind blowing property, enjoyed the tour, amazing to see the deer so near London as mentioned, we further north often see deer close to home.
This house is absolutely amazing. It is worth a lot more than 6.5, I am surprised it was going for so little. If I had the money I would be extremely happy with this home, it seems perfect.
Yess!! This is what I'm talking about. Great home with lots of space but also great character! The levels of detail is super impressive. The only downside to me is the fact that the first kitchen is quite far away from the living room. I love the idea of having the kitchen look into the family room as it's really the heart of the home. But I love the idea of two kitchens.
Love you two, your ]passion is catching. When selling a house its important to make it as neutral as possible and that has been done here. When you buy the house, then go to town with your colour.
Very nice. Interesting that Bushy Park is over 1,000 acres, wouldn't have guessed it was that big. King George II must have been well pleased with his gardener.
Thanks Matt and Summer, definitely our favourite house so far, we didn’t go much on the £13m house in St Pancras. Thus house was a lot better value - a great mix of old and new. Tony&Cathy, Brisbane
To be honest, I’d buy a house somewhere else if I if so much money😅 btw if you’re interested I have videos from here and other cities where I travel🥰🙌🏻
Lovely beautiful house, a dream house to me! TBH so big that don’t know how to clean it without helper! Thank you for showing us such a nice house! I m not living in England n don’t know if it is the right price but compare the house in Hong Kong this is stunning!
I feel like, cleaning the house on one's own could be a good routine to get into, as part of regular exercise/activity routine lol. It's doable. :p if you had the time. :)
normally i dont like old fashioned houses cos there just not my type but i rlly like this one fsr its like mixed between old and modern and i love it x
This is almost as big as my university! It’s huge...warming such place must be EXPENSIVE! But having it as a family house for the holidays would be soo nice! Like 3 families in the house during Christmas or Summers holidays...enough of the daydreaming lol
Maybe it used to be an “upstairs” & “downstairs” house at some point (don’t know how they felt about the gardener/ who lived in there afterward). With spaces for help/ kitchen in the basement idea. And then that’s why it has a weird layout...
@@larissaswinkels3661 You are right. On the outside it is quintessentially Georgian in uniformity, however, the interior layout is unconventional, to say the least.
My decor would be different, but the architectural details are quite stunning. Love the older properties. Modern is devoid of warmth and character and can't be made cozy by any means.
Nah doesn't feel ghosty tbh. Which is good lol. I grew up in "haunted" places. I feel energy etc, I am so sensitive and so it was kind of even less ideal lol. But this place feels all clear 😌
The wheel in the cellar room is what is left of what was once a dumb-waiter up to the dining room to take food up from what was once the house kitchen next door.
This house is nice, but it's like a maze with all those stairs. Also I prefer a house with character and I've never seen white deer before, really cool!
The wheel system is a dumbwaiter - used to transport things like food, drinks, and other things to different floors without having to carry them up and down stairs.
Umm, ok, so had a quick look down the comments and couldn't see anyone had responded, so at 8mins 20, what is the contraption with the wheel and the shelves, surely it is a dumb waiter? A mini lift for putting dishes and food on which then takes it up to the floors above. Thought that was obvious. If you look above you can see where it has either been filled in, or there are panels that would hinge and flip out of the way.
The problem with older luxury properties is that large chunks of the house are dedicated to staff and servants. Obviously the original owners would have had an army of staff to serve the owners. This shows particularly with kitchens and washing facilities that were not seen as a social area as they clearly are now!
Lovely old house. Huge. I prefer the old houses rather than the contemporary ones but I also like my creature comforts. I would prefer the guest bedrooms to have en-suites but I’m not sure how many en-suites there were. Would have been nice to have a media room stuck in there somewhere. I prefer the term motor court rather than parking area
When he said the king built this house, which could mean that the house is over 400 years old because king henry vii loved living in Richmond palace and was known for having long corridors in his palaces. Personal opinion, the house lost its character. During older times, chefs preferred the basement kitchen so the basement kitchen could be the original kitchen of the house and the room with the mysterious old sink was the scullery room.
The property is a maze and just the master suite is much bigger than a 1 bed flat in London. I live not far from there and Bush Park is my favourite. If you come across a Huff Haus would be great to see a video.
Big security gates at the front but anyone could just wander into the park and climb in through one of the back windows so easily as there's no wall or railings at the back.
Noticed the security shutters on the double doors and was thinking you don't put them on without reason. Also noticed all the shutters being close when showing the house which was very strange. I guess they didn't want people just walking by the windows looking in while filming? Park car park seems to be to the side of the house which is not great either.
@@PluralRecursion however, most of us live in shitty houses or flats with way worse going on out front etc. So considering this house is gorgeous and dreamy and there is wildlife right there etc etc, it's not a matter to be picky about tbh. Meanwhile MFs are out front at 3am rummaging in the bins for empties to return to the liquor store for loose change, and some trying to get into the front porch for a root around etc. So yanno there's that .... and worse.
A beautiful house. An upstairs downstairs one. Bit bland with the grey decoration though. I'd be concerned also with security with the property being next to a park.
I love houses like this, like historical house not the modern minimalistic because modern and minimalistic looks boring, this house looks like it has its own character
A real Georgian mansion, what a dreamy idea to live in it, I love those confusing corridor ,staircase and well ornamented fireplace.
Or grow the plants😌😌😌
Imagine growing up in that house. Lots of places to play hide and seek :)
Amazing property!
I know right, and the park right out back that would be amazing to have as a kid

This house is stunning, an absolute dream. However I would have added a bit more colour, it doesn’t show case the features as much with all the rooms being the same colours, and some traditional tiling would’ve been nice.
Traditional tiling would've priced people out of the market.

That was one lucky gardener. I can appreciate the original characters features.
I like a house with a bit of character. This is lovely 😍😍 Limao at you two trying capture the deer.😂
Hahaha it was so funny trying to catch it on camera
The only thing that really annoyed me is the downstairs toilet. The bathrooms they showed next were in a similar style to the house, but then that one toilet....
This is one of my favourites so far.. love all the secret stairs and the mix of modern traditional twists to fixtures.. the bathrooms are stunning..
Very interesting property. Love the stairs, the history and period features but the lack of private garden would be an issue for me.
agreed, its so easy for someone to just come up to your window. its actually quite scary haha
