Happy transplant anniversary to you sister. Organ donation is incredible and a topic that is very personal to me! This July i will be celebrating 25yrs since I received a heart transplant. My donor and their family are my heroes and I am eternally grateful to have received the gift of life.
I hope your sister is able to celebrate many more years of life.....and lots of love to you two, who graciously show people the reality of living with chronic illness. Love and hugs as always xxxxx
Memza1 Thank you for celebrating with us, and you have a very big milestone coming up in a few months! Wow! That is so great!
5 years later! How are you faring? Hope you are healthy and safe from covid!
I am signed up as an organ donor. My family has been the recipient of organ donation and I think it is important!
Kim Cook mine too
Happy organ transplant anniversary to your sister!!! Lungversary!!! I’m a Rachel too, but spelt Rachael! I am an organ donor, but as a chronic illness sufferer, I’m not sure what they could, or would want to take from me-BUT-the gift of life to someone need of an organ in the event of my passing is a final gift I would rejoice in giving!!! Life changing for someone in need!!! I would LOVE someone to have what I couldn’t use anymore-SO, please consider being an organ donor!!!
Congrats to your sister . Praying you are better today Mary , we love you and Peter xoxoxo
I think it’s in the Netherlands, but you have to opt out of organ donation rather than opt in-I think it’s the BEST!! Consequently they have some of the highest organ transplantation/success rates in the world-I think this should happen everywhere in the world!!!
wow peter ur mums house is beautiful and OMGOSH that squirrel is sooo cuute i wish we have them here in new zealand just running around like that hahah
😂😂 When you speak for the squirrel Peter 😂😂 damnn
Once I turn 18 I will be registering to be an organ donor. Congrats to your sister!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in terms of artistic talent huh? AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is Rachael's month it was five years then now it's going on ten. Let's celebrate life hears to Rachel and her family👱♂️👶👱♀️.
You guys are awesome. I have cf too :) when I watch your videos it makes me happy. Your lovely people and it's awesome you've move. Do you live in Scotland?? Edinburgh?? I've been there before. I'm from barnsley haha x
Thanks Kim N they do look similar and young so I got confused.
I LOVE YOU GUYS😘
I have always been and will always be an organ donor. I dont know what will be viable or useable but if my life means anything it means my death can be life for many people.
Amazing
Did you miss clogging on 2/25/15. the play list goes from 2/24 to 2/26
I don't have my tonsils either. Mine never came in.
We I get my license i'm definitely going to register to be a lung donor. I feel like it should be a law that people need to register upon getting their license.
+Rune Darren That would be awesome! Thanks so much!!!
Though it might seem unreasonable or rude. Some people are against transplants and transfusions for religious reasons.
Alyssa Girga That's very true.
+Alyssa Girga Some countries have an opt out policy instead of opt in. Presumed consent. Those who don't wish to donate can refuse :). Opt out is a much better policy!!! Wish the US had it. I received a kidney recently. I'm still on the donor list :) they can have everything else after I die!
been an organ donor since I got my license in 07
I'm an organ donor. When I got my ID I told them I wanted to be an organ donor.
Are you two married or brother and sister???
Lol they are married but I guess they do look similar. :)
Mary can you not have a lung transplant for some reason? Just curious
+Diane Ramsey I answer this question in our CF Q and A video
Hii
I love you
Will you also need a transplant one day?
She will eventually progress to the point where she needs a transplant, but ultimately it's her decision whether or not to go through with the process. Do some research on CF, it's actually very interesting. I don't want to sound too nerdy. :) plus, although Mary and Peter are very open with us, Mary has never shared if she is interested in a transplant.
+Kim N she has since made a video regarding transplants !
Wow. That squrriel is really fat. Probably thats why the dod is barking loud. Squrriel are such pain sometimes
Until this tonsil/adenoids discussion, I actually thought you both were doctors! ;)
Why don't you get a double lung transplant??
I know your not asking ME, but incase she cant answer this question I thought Id let you know. Hopefully you don't mind. (: A transplant does not cure CF. There is no cure. After a lung transplant you still have CF. The goal is to keep the lungs you were born with as long as possible! Before getting a transplant. There IS such thing as being too healthy or too sick for a transplant. In her case I am guessing she doesn't meet the standers yet.. Which is a good thing! I hope she can keep the lungs she has now for as long as she can! Transplant is a scary process, but also a blessing.
Not to mention there's high risk of rejection.
+Andrea Thomas That's with any transplant. But the quality of life you get/prolonged lifespan usually outweighs the risk. I got a kidney transplant in January and feel unbelievably better! Lung transplants are different, though, of course. I'm so thankful to have the option of going back on dialysis if need be until another transplant!
omg that squirrel is fat lol
+Linda Ybarra haha
+The Frey Life im so inspired by you guys im diabetic you have it harder than I do so I believe in you that you can do anything you can stay strong
