I watched ace in the hole last night. What a film: it had the pathology of Journalists and journalism down to T. Acting was superb by everyone and Douglas was outstanding. It struck me that Spike might have used some elements of the Film in The Summer of Sam (a powerful film) with the media hysteria and the light humour in the mids of terror.
I've always liked Spike since he was hawking tube socks on up to BlacKKKlansmen. So it doesn't surprise me that he appreciates two of my favourite movies from the 50s - "Ace in the Hole" and "A Face in the Crowd". They saw the future. They saw Trump.
It is kinda funny how he (spike Lee) actually has done similar things like this movie character did. Spike has used racial issues to get publicity. So we can see why he relates to it

I love Spike Lee, anything that he's suggesting I am buying! Whatever happened with the whispers of Bamboozled coming to the Criterion Collection?
It’s hear now!
So just what he recommends right? Cause his movies are junk. And I mean junk. His make Stallone’s movies look like great writing

I dont know if he, in fact, has -- but Spike Lee should teach film at the college and post graduate level.
He does! He’s a professor in New York
That’s really cool he got the signatures!

Uh, if you're not white, racial issues are vitally important. Dealing with them is not just a publicity stunt.
Go watch Django Unchained, and quit trying to censor artists Mr. Lee.
Good to know that critiquing other works of art based on your own values is "censorship" now.
Jonmichael Platt says the communist
mobspeak I can spot at least 3 logical fallacies in that statement: Tu Quoque, argumentum ad hominem, and begging the question
