    I got a serious lung disease from wearing these little masks. They protect only 60%. Only a proper over the head strap mask without holes around the nose can truly protect you. 3M are good.

      That's a serious problem, I am aware of it. Alabaster dust is not as toxic as granite, for example, so I took it less seriously here. I would definitely use full mask with filters for other stones. Thank you for recommendation!

      @@joannasokolowskaart Toxicity isn't the problem the dust in your lungs is ! I have been cutting stone for the last 15 years in one way or another. I treat every stone like it may contain the plague .

    How do you get alabaster.., where do you go to get it??

      This blue alabaster is actually imported from Italy. There are some special companies which provide supplies for sculptors - I bought mine from "2Sculpt" - which is located on Myles’ Mountain just outside Lawrence, Kansas. Their website: www.2sculpt.com/
