Lovebites (stylized as LOVEBITES) is a Japanese power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup currently consists of Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, Asami on vocals, and Fami on bass. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album in 2017, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, Battle Against Damnation and Clockwork Immortality, Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. Following the releases of Electric Pentagram (2020) and Glory, Glory, to the World (2021), bassist Miho left the band in August 2021. After a year-long hiatus, Lovebites recruited Fami on bass and released Judgement Day, their fourth album, in February 2023. It is their highest-charting record to date, reaching number 5 on both the Oricon and Billboard Japan charts.

In the last 10-15 years heavy and power metal was on donwfall-even thrash. Older bands release albums that offer nothing new and fresh, new bands were playing solid but nothing special. And than came these girls...With playing based on that 80ies sound and shred, they combine that old with new elements to create something special. And do that with almost every song. This song is like Testament and Slayer combined-perfection. The future of metal belongs to Lovebites-i dont care if anyone claims otherwise. I love them so much man...
Unfortunately, they aren’t big enough in the states to have stage setups like that. We need to spread the word!!!

When it comes to power and thrash metal Lovebites IS my favorite band of all time end of story 😁🔥🤘Traveled through Europe to see them 4 times in June and will fly all the way from France to Japan in September for their biggest show to date. FYI they have some dates in US in September...
Bada$$.....yeah a short but complete description for these insanely talented musicians. They will be in the US in September but for a very short tour. ProgPower on 9/6 in Atlanta, then Dallas, LA and San Fran and then back home!!!! They are all sold out except for the secondary market. They just finished their European part of the 2024 world tour. No one plays Thrash better LIVE than this band. The M&M show here in all their glory. Miyako who played the piano, guitar, synth and guitar was 4/5 months pregnant and still rocked out for the entire set.
The venues booked in the U.S. this September aren't big enough for the pyro, unfortunately that seems to be a Japan only deal right now.
Maybe, when they're becoming better known some bigger venues will be possible . . . and then (with first class production equipment and stuff) . . . buckle up !!
There in Dallas Sept 8th. Then to LA AND SAN FRANCISCO.
Yes, they deserve an "overbooking" . . . so they gonna get a adequate stage size for this great artistic performance in future. . .

The late 70's to early 90's to me was the best era for metal. I've been with most bands since their beginning. Listening to this - sorry Metallica, Slayer Priest, Maiden, etc - all of you were and are still awesome to listen to, but to my ears I think you've all been one upped by Lovebites level of musicianship.

Available in digital, cd, dvd and blu ray format. They did this concert under severe restrictions because of the covid.

You've only checked out old Lovebites songs so far, which I think is cool for now. So before moving on to newer stuff with the new basist Fami, I hope you check out at least Raise Some Hell and Frozen Serenade. Then you can move on to the newer stuff^^ Since in your older videos you mentioned you would like to see them more visibly enjoying themselves.. you'll get that with the newer ones but also with Raise Some Hell.

You won’t see any pyrotechnics with LOVEBITES or any other international traveling band. In the US it’s very difficult to get permission for pyro in indoor concert venues, because every city has different rules and regulations.
