asgore is literally me frfr minus the killing kids, having wife, kids, being a ruler, and other lore and such just realized this was probably made as a powerpoint presentation which makes it funny, but its still a great video i do enjoy some small tuber talk
Nah man, Asgore with seven human souls could have potentially destroy all of humanity easily. Asriel with the power of seven souls was ridiculously powerful. Sure, there's a CHANCE that humans would have killed all monsters despite that but I dunno I think that monsters have a fighting chance here. Especially since with more human souls more monsters can enter God mode.
@@ofekma12345 Asgore would likely be able to wipe out the nearby village but… I feel like humans with guns and explosives would maybe be able to do more. Just speculation tho
Yeah, he would be able to do that with no difficulty, Asriel with seven souls literally wiped out the whole timeline, which should include humans as well - Frisk's Determination was the only thing that prevented total reset (at least Asriel only mentions us and not that other humans resist or something like that, and our determination additionally was also boosted by support of the whole Underground, so Frisk by themselves might not even have been enough to stop him). Asgore is a really powerful boss monster, so he should be able to do the same thing with no problem (other thing that he would probably not want to do that)
@@awesomeandrewgames Don't forget that there isn't exactly a limit to how many souls a monster could absorb. Sure, with seven, they can destroy the barrier, etc. But, if Asgore destroyed the barrier, then killed some more humans and absorbed THEIR souls, he would be even more powerful, as well as him being able to contain souls, so he could allow others in the army to also absorb some souls, and make them stronger as well.
Asgore: A big hearted, well-meaning guy, forced to do what he doesn't want to because he believes it would save the monsters as a whole. He was not prepared to be king
I am a huge Asgore fan, and I went through your video and you've done a very comprehensive take on him from everything I am already aware about. However, I'd like to make a correction: you do not have to redo a neutral route to get Asgore to do a suicide ending. If you reload before the fight, defeat Asgore, and spare him, you can get that ending without doing a whole nother play-through. I'd also like to mention this, I couldn't find this brought up through my skimming around; if you die to Asgore, you can tell him you already died # of times, and he will shake his head slowly. This is a subtle hint that Asgore is aware of the save and load mechanic to some degree. I'd also like to point out that if you visit Catty and Bratty on a pacifist ending, you can see some dialogue from them, mentioning that Asgore has ruled for 2000 years. This also implies that Frisk fell down at least 100-200 years after Chara and Asriel's deaths. This also implies that The Human and Monster war took place at the start of AD or CE (whichever one prefers) or 100-200 years after the start of AD or CE.
important note: chara is only fully evil in geno. otherwise, its completely up in the air what they though of anything
@@Bread_37 right, definitely evil in geno but again that’s… kinda our fault for doing geno in the first place
@@awesomeandrewgames exactly. Chara said that the desire for power wasn't theirs, but ours.

Thanks! Also I only saw the first line and I was VERY concerned
Well the only culling of monsters can stop the end of humanity. Any monster can quickly get 7 souls and do whatever they want.
The humans showed mercy by locking them into a mountain cave. 😂

You must admit, ASGORE’s theme is the best in the whole game!

THANK YOU! You taught me a lot about Asgore and Chara both. Really excellent analysis and theory!!

Frisk is our vessel in Undertale.... Chara is the ghostly remnant of the first fallen child, who becomes attached to Frisk as we start the game.
