- This was one of the most ridiculous fishing days I have ever experienced. A true record fishing day with NLBN Lures for some true Giants. Fishing with NLBN swimbait lures I hook and catch multiple huge striped bass (stripers) this insane fishing day was one to remember! No Live Bait Needed Swimbaits seemed like the a guaranteed giant! Be sure to use my NLBN discount Code to save yourself some money.

The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
That brings back memories growing up in NYC, and that's where my love for fishing begin. Driving to Montauk catching giant stripper's one weekend, and I been hooked with fishing ever since. Now living in Tampa Bay, I feel like I died and went to haven. Fish on my brother!
You know it’s a good day when Ryan uploads
I'm here for the people!
Awesome video Ryan, so happy you got to experience a true striped bass beat down! Cant wait till next time👍🏼
Awesome! I'm foaming at the mouth waiting for that big blitz to hit the surf here on the OBX. I've seen it before and caught them as they tear down the beach. Another month and they should be here. Can't wait! Thanks for all the great vids. Cheers!
That had to be an epic day!
Awesome video. Should come back the next round is starting very soon
Your in my neck of the woods, Ryan. Nice job!! Enjoy all your videos. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Great fishing day & my favorite fish to eat
Dope vid. In the west coast we use big baits for calico bass
There’s a charter in nc called chasin tails
Dude, watching you catch those monster stripers on that lure made me buy them immidiately. Caught my first 3 stripers last night on a White and Purple spec rig. All of them 18 inches so too small to keep, but such a fun fish to catch. Had to step my game up and get the 8” paddle tails so I could get the big boys.
Hope you get one of the giants soon!
good stuff Ryan. you have to see striper boils in Cali.
Your fishing right off the beach i fish all the time in staten island.
Monster fish.. Awesome catch..
You should come fish the longest pier in FL at Navarre Beach sometime. I would love to see what you can pull out of there.
Maybe next spring!
@@RyanMorie Yes! Maybe I’ll see you out there 🤙🏽
Sick video!! How did you like that Tsunami trophy rod? I’m deciding between a Tsunami Trophy 2 surf rod and an Okuma Rockaway for fishing tarpon from the beach. Only asking cause you were using a Tsunami trophy!
Awesome video as always. I was curious about your PB striper .. according to the charts, your 42-incher likely weighed 33.5 lbs and was around 14 years old. BTW I'm a huge fan of NLBN's for tarpon and cobia up here in the Florida Panhandle. You're living the dream, Ryan, so jealous.
Thank you for watching, that’s some awesome info on the striper 🤙🏼
@@RyanMorie You've become the guy that every pier rat dreams of growing up to emulate.
yeah i was going to say that is well over 30 lbs.
Through the camera the first one literally looked like a monster mullet😅
Lmao 🤣
What rod are you using with the saltist?
People down south don’t understand how difficult it is to just go out and slam overslots like that it’s nuts
I felt so lucky that I got to experience that fishery 🔥
Raritan bay???
New sub here..like your video reviews my guy👊
Welcome aboard my friend
What tsunami fishing rod is that?
well done dude
could you please tell me the fishing rod brand in this video?
Which fish fight better? Redfish or striper
Striped Bass apparently fight a lil better when the water is warmer (it was like 56 degrees Fahrenheit in this vid) but I’m honestly gonna have to say Redfish.
I hear that the initial run from the stripers is comparable to a red of equal size but they don’t have quite the steam of a red.
What rod is that on the saltist mq?
never been this early lol
I appreciate it 🤙🏼🍻
Last, but I made it 😂 🙌🏽
You’re right on time!
what size hook and weight? for the stripped bass
We were using the 1.5 oz NLBN jigheads
Great vid once again. What rod are you using and what are the specs??
Oh man, can’t really remember, it was like a 7’ medium heavy by tsunami. I think I go over all the rods in my other Striped Bass video. (Posted back in May)
@@RyanMorie OK great fantastic. Keep up the good work.
